I have 4 DJI drones and have never purchased the Care Refresh before, BUT, after crashing my Avata 1, I made SURE I purchased it for my Avata 2 ! I bought the 2 year plan when I activated mine. I stuck my neck out on a 2 year payment plan for Avata 2 and I’m NOT paying for a broken drone. It’s great to see how FAST you got your replacement ! Thanks for posting, great flying too.
I'm somewhere between 60-90 days and had about 10 times where I walked up to my crashed drone while thinking "This is definitely the one, its broken". But Its still going with no refresh yet. I've definitely done some IMU damage. In normal and sport modes it flies all lopsided with any wind at all above like 100 feet. As long as it works in manual mode I don't care.
Ouch. Those seconds before a crash are always cringe with anxiety lol. I was doing loops and stuff at my park and clipped a tree and it was still flying but giving me an error. Once I took it out of manual mode to come in and land it just flipped upside down and went full speed into the ground. Sent it to DJI and they replaced it for 262$ after which I got the care plan thing they offered lol
@@Mythodix ah man, that’s a bummer. Glad you got it replaced and now have the care plan. I’m super impressed with their speed to replace so far. With the care plan, it was only $50 for a new one which pays for itself after 1 use. Crazy.
Ouch! didn't seem that bad until you realize it smacked that concrete 90 degree edge.. gnarly! I've wrecked mine a few times, and the frame is definitely tweaked but I haven't noticed any performance issues yet.
@@DTMharlot, I’m amazed by how durable the drone is. I’ve wrecked it too many times, but yes, flying head on into a concrete curb at 30mph is apparently the limit.
4:53 it is good but there are only few replacements, you have to pay fee for it anyway. Better idea is to buy or make your own custom drone, so it's not that expensive to just replace propellers (because basically that's the only one thing that will break in custom drones most of the time)
@@vwdriver67 yep, not sure if I’d call it unlucky or a little careless. I know a little more throttle and pitch would have kept it flying. I’ve taken a lot of hits too but a concrete curb at nearly 30 did the trick. It was one of those accidents I knew did damage before seeing it. Super happy with the speed to replace it. How do you like the Avata?

New sub & new Avata 2 pilot! Great video: no fluff, brief, to the point, and well articulated, THANK YOU!
@@SD_Canary_Corner thanks for the comment and subscribing. Welcome to the channel!
I ordered bumpers for the propeller guards and also gimbal bumper, which is going to save the day as much as possible

Damn, that issue with the props touching the guards also happened to me after I crashed. Got it replaced tho

Damn bro sick rips man!! What are your rates?!
@@pointblank1292 thanks! Roll/Pitch/Yaw: CS 50/50/50, MR 725/650/600, expo .5/.5/.5.
his rates are pretty bad honestly, he was not able to recover and destroyed his drone, lol
@@XdekHckr i was being ironic :D
Updated CS to 120/120/120 and prefer it.
Dang looks like you took an unlucky hit.. I've taken a few hits harder then that and came out with less damage.

@VantagePointImages I love it, I also needed a replacement took a hard slam at an abandoned water park and it bent the prop guard
