  • We met up with the Florida Trail Stompers at Ol' Florida Off Road Park. We had some regulars, and a lot of new faces show up for this event. It was huge! About 150 people. I lead our trail team through a couple trails and we hit some of the more challenging obstacles around the park. Because we had so many people, there were some shots contributed from other trail rides included in order to keep with the spirit of the party! Florida Trail Stompers definitely know how to throw a celebration!! "Let's get into it!"

Hope to see you there this Sunday. Just bought my ticket, only day we can come down😯 The kinetic ropes are the best, very effective.

Awe, I really wish I could.. gonna be well out of town for this one though. The kinetic ropes are awesome and definitely have their place. The last one where that Rubi was stuck, we probably should have used a winch over a tire like we did in our Richloam adventure to release some of the suction. The rope did work though.

@@OffRoadAdventures155 What's your take on winches, I'm in the prelim research phase and was wondering.

@@MyProjectsFL you have steel cable and synthetic rope as one of two primary winch variables. Synthetic rope is safer as when it snaps, it’s not going to cause a whole lot of damage. Cable is stronger, but more dangerous if it ever got to the point of snapping. There are ways to limit damage such as laying weighted bags over the taught line. I have yet to snap my cable though. Seen several ropes snap. The other real variable to consider is strength. You want it to be able to pull much more than your vehicles weight. When you consider other factors such as being suctioned to the bottom of a mud hole, it will need to be able to not only pull your vehicle, but be strong enough to break free as well. Brand wise, I like the smittybuilt and wern winches. Seen too many badlands (harbor freight) ones fail. In my opinion, don’t skimp and put the strongest one you can fit on if you intend to use it. I have a smittybuilt 9500 pound tucked inside my front bumper on my set up and it has done the job for years.

@@OffRoadAdventures155 Did Ol Florida today, I guess we missed all the muddy stuff, but lots of techincal obstacles and off camber trails and heat, especially for January. It was fun, shame that park isn't open more often.

Really fantastic video editting which showed the variety. Came here from a Rivian posted thread. Those short wheel based vehicles really showed their capabilities. 31:45 you guys are nuts straddling the road barriers that are on their sides.

Thanks you very much man! Mind me asking which thread? Each vehicle had its place to shine. Ya those road barriers were a little sketch lol.

It’s at Ol’Florida Off Road Park. Just north of Orlando. They are only open select weekends of the year for off roading. Look up Florida Trail Stompers on Facebook. They do group rides all of the time including private events like this. Tell them Zoltan sent you! 😊🤙

Thanks a lot y’all!! We did most shooting, but there was a significant amount of footage that was sent in from fellow Trail Stompers!!! Huge thanks to everyone who contributed. Looking forward to seeing yours!!

I love the videos good quality actually characters but I'm sure besides the mud buggy we do here I'm sure other states laugh at the Jeeps struggling to go over flat Rocky little bit of their Nebraska when I lived in Nebraska it was a group of maybe 20 females and they all drove jeeps and they had a sticker and it said Jeeps are for chicks😅 I thought it was funny though

Oh yea. There are only a few places in Florida you can get really tippy. Off road parks mostly. Hardrock has some fun climbs. Other than that, it’s usually pretty muddy or mild. Good times still though! 😊🤙
