This is beyond the clothes & the shoes.
No materialistic possessions can ever be better than the well being of our future generation.
The amount of stress kids must endure because they don't excel as much as those around them can really put them in a place where they won't ever get out.
I'm glad you spoke about this subject Richie.

Kids now feel like its a race to become successful. They feel as if they aren't hustling, making moves, or have an educational career lined up, they are gonna fail. Success isn't a race, cause once you get there, you're there! Nobody is gonna give you a hard time for taking X amount of years to get there. I think its important to make moves on your own pace to help reduce stress and depression and allow you to focus up on what your pursuing without having such a congested schedule.

This was a dope topic! 🔥 I'd love listening to more topics about life in general. Life ain't always sweet, so I'd like to hear how you guys deal with the tough times. You guys should talk about yourselves when you were at your lowest & what helped you get out of that situation or things of that nature!
Loved the part where Richie said "Everybody can have their own pace & timeline." As an Asian American, there's plenty of pressure on us. Going from HS to College is a tough transition, especially when you have no clue what you want to major in, but you end up going anyways because you don't want to disappoint your parents. After HS, I went to college for like 4 & a half years (2 different colleges too). I switched my major so many times & only ended up with a Pharmacy Tech certificate, which I really did not even care for & never even got a job with it. Started working factory job for 4 years, I was too comfortable making good money there but hated the job at the same time, so at age 27 I decided to back to school. I'm now 29 & will be graduating after this upcoming Fall semester with a Bachelor's degree. It really takes a lot of time for some of us to figure out what we want to do, maybe less than 10% of HS students know what they actually want to do in life. Shout outs to this channel for this topic! 🙌

(Sorry it’s kinda long) But so glad y’all talked about this today, every now and than try to motivate yalls viewers to never give up, it’s cool to do things in there own way, you don’t always gotta fit in to be cool cause you’ll attract people who enjoy doing the same stuff you do and that’s when you’ll know the people your surrounded by actually do support you. I was the only person into street wear out of my group and they made me feel dumb about liking it, until I started meeting more kids who enjoyed it as much as I do and we kept teaching one another more about it. I can’t really afford it no more but I still try to keep up lol. Thanks for this vid !

Richie, I think you guys should do more segments on your own personal lives and choices. What you learned from it and what others can learn. I think Johnny's story about him leaving college to be a personal bank teller had me really curious what you guys all did up until the present day. I know this is a shoe/fashion type of channel, but I think it would be pretty cool to learn about the history of each person within house of hype.

I originally went to academic upgrading after high school to buy time but dropped out of it and found a job, did that for the last year. I wanted to work my retail job full time and work my way up the company(alot of my co-workers have gone to be managers, district managers, and sales analysts for this or other companies) but my parents forced college on me and im taking a course I don’t even want to. Im already waiting for the tuition refund date to drop out and go back to work. My mental health is absolutely wild right now. If you got something you want to do, do it. Don’t let anybody try to force anything on you, if you know what you want then fight for it. If you got a route other then college you want to go then talk about it to your parents.
