hes not fast in 100m free, USA had a very tough drought on sprinters from 2011~2015, it got way better after 2016 when Dressel, Held, Pieroni, Haas came on top in the US. Now neither France, Brazil, Russia nor Australia has a chance of challenging the US in the 4x100 free relay, their only rival is the UK in the medley relay since the coaches always put Adrian on the free leg but since he has had surgery for treating cancer, his speed dropped quite obviously, and he blew it too in 2019. I think if they had put Pieroni or even Apple on the relay it wouldn't have happened.
