Looked like quite a bit of fun tasting all those sweets. At the end you could definitely tell Kendra had a sugar rush. I agree that hazelnuts and strawberries are delicious flavors to have. Some of those sweets may have been meant to have with coffee or tea also. Thank you for sharing y’all’s experience with Italian treats.

You have started with a bang: Pan di Stelle and Gocciole are among the favorite biscuits especially for children.
Bucaneve is an old school biscuit (from the 50s): my father ate them when he was a child and they remind me of my grandmother.
On the contrary, Ringo are the biscuits of my childhood: I'm sorry you didn't like them 😔
I was able to feel all of Hailee's pain when she tried to swallow that little piece of Fiesta 🤣(and I can understand you: I never liked it either).
On the other hand, however, you broke my heart with Grisbi and Kinder Cereali: they are too good for me 😭

This was a great and fun two-parter. So much Yum and nots. Kendra is right, Hazelnut and chocolate is amazing (why i love Nutella!)
Milka is one of the few milk chocolate i can really like, it is very similar to the one we got (In Norway and also Sweden). Both made with proper whole milk. Kinder is Kinder, most are good but can be to much oversweet white "chocolate". I've know for years the eggs are illegal in USA, still chocked they are. Fun is you can get fined pretty hefty for "smugling" them in, might depend where you're at i guess. If that is how Americans eat the eggs, no wonder its chocking hazard 🤭

@@HaileeandKendrathere are a lot of dutch things to taste. We have Ontbijtkoek (some sort of cake that you can put butter on and eat for breakfast or as a snack), diffrent kinds of chips, bread toppings, and some authentic Dutch candies that you can find in historical candy shops

Below here👇 is my (very long) commentary for each of the snacks. I know your friend probably said many of the things I said, but I couldn't stop myself. It's so much fun to see the two of you giving them grades. Hope you are having fun, in Netherland.
Pan di Stelle. The most delicious cookies in the world. My mother always refused to buy them except on very special occasions. Why? Because she knew I wouldn't be able to eat them only during breakfast.
Gocciole (Droplets): I have never seen a package printed upside down. It is a manufacturing error. As I said, crunchiness is a must, for Italian snacks. There are also the dark ones, which are the same but with dark chocolate flavored cookie dough. There are also hazelnut and pistachio ones.
Crostatine: never liked them too much, but neither said no to them. The other two flavors are chocolate and cherry jam.
Baiocchi: very good. The other flavor is hazelnut chocolate.
Bucaneve (Snowdrops): maybe I'm risking, saying this, but I always associated them with cookie you find at your grandparents' house.
Kinder Delice: Delicious. Perfect. And a bit lot caloric.
Ringo: the reason Oreos have never become famous in Italy. And I'm serious. Anyway, whenever I come to the US, I buy two packs of chocolate flavored Ringos, which are the best. One for going, the other for coming back. They are the perfect meal for a long plane trip if you can't stand the plane food.
Fiesta: never liked it. The orange flavor along with chocolate is not something for me.
Girella, Togo, Brioss. The plainest ones.
Oro Ciok: The Oro cookie is one of the oldest industrially produced cookies in history. Alone, is nothing special. With a chocolate bar above? There's a reason it's packed in packages of only two.
Buondì (Good morning): Why do you have only the apricot flavored snacks? The chocolate, or the milk ones are fare better. Every italian snack is better with chocolate! The apricot jam is good, if you like it, but is not the best with snacks.
Ciok Barretta: never tried.
Tronky (tronco is trunk): very good. Its spot always talks about that is full of chocolate and, thanks to the wafer, you do not get your hands dirty with it if it melts.
Nutella B-ready: it's tronky, but with more Nutella, therefore better.
Nutella biscuits: is there anything better than them?
Grisbì: I've eaten them a lot, but only because I love lemon flavored sweets.
Kinder Maxi: It's pure kinder chocolate. You know that Kinder's owner, Giovanni Ferrero, is Italy's richest man? I can never decide if this is a good or a bad thing. Anyway, they are perfect if you like milk chocolate.
Kinder bueno: there's a reason it's called "bueno"! There's also the original which is chocolate iced.
Milka chocolate is owned by an american company, but founded by a swiss one. Extremely sweet and full of fillings (hazelnut, almond, Oreo...).
Novi: Here's its spot "Svizzero? No, Novi!", that means "Is it swiss? No, its Novi". Veeeery good.
Kinder Sorpresa: Do you realize that, during Easter, you could find giant kinder eggs everywhere? I'm an adult and I still have one of them, every year. They are too delicious.

We read all of it 😁 and about the flavors, our friend had limited space in her suitcase so she wasn't able to bring over all the variety she wanted to - but she promised us she will have us taste everything else when we'll go to Italy👌she told us she couldn't bring over some other snacks because they are supposed to stay in the fridge (Kinder Pingui, Paradiso, Fetta al latte?). So we will have those too 😁 and more, if we can find more!

Your friend did the right thing. I do believe that, 90% of the time, the chocolate flavor ones are the best ones, but if you had only chocolate flavored snacks, you would have risked to get bored. Pronunciation tip: the letter c is pronounced like ch and the letter I is pronounced like the letter E (pretty obvious) also, when you have a word like gocciole, the I is silent. Last thing, you roll the r so it's not like in the back of your throat and CH is pronounced k

Only in the US are Kinder Eggs illegal to sell. As Canadian mom, I used to supervise my kids, and if it has small parts that come off, I didn't let little ones have it or teach them not to put it in their mouths.

Kinder surprise is such nostalgia (don't even know if they were called surprice backnthen or just Kinder eggs 🙂)
Back then the egg containing the toy didn't have hinges and was just 2 separate halves, so we poured water and baking powder in it, closed it, shook and tossed it, and watched it explode 😃

As an Austrian, I know many of these sweets, espcially the Kinder, Milka and Nutella ones.
Kinder eggs are very popular here and many find it very strange that they are proibitted for sale in the USA. It was always a thrill trying to build some of the toys, and some have even a collection of these toys.
I used to love white chocolate in my youth, but not as much nowaday. I love dark chocolate much more.
You really must have had a sugar rush after trying all of these sweets.

Purtroppo avete mischiato i biscotti che generalmente utilizziamo x fare colazione al mattino, con alcune merendine o snack che mangiamo durante la giornata x fare una pausa, c'è anche chi usa le merendine a colazione.. io preferisco i biscotti saluti 😊
