I didn’t grow up eating red meat often so that continued into adulthood. Because of that, I’m always just a little intimidated by cooking beef…worried I’ll overcook it & dry it out, mainly. I’ve always wanted to make beef stew and I can’t remember the last time I had it but I loved it. I really like this recipe…nothing overwhelming about it at all! Looks delicious!
I made a beef stew once when we first got married (30 years ago) and it was SO dry that I've never attempted it again. THIS looks fabulous. I might have to make that attempt one more time!
@@kaesmomFitz😅 Yea, this is my concern! It helps following a video vs a printed recipe. I can cook chicken, turkey & fish with eyes closed but when I have beef, it’s usually because I’m at a restaurant. I’ve recently gotten pretty good at searing steaks though! 😊
I can't wait to make your Recipe I'm not much of a cook my mom used to do all the cooking🙏🏻 I'm definitely going to try this out it looks delicious!! You really make cooking fun and your hilarious. THANK YOU 🙌🏻
❤ yes I'm impressed this looks incredible! I really appreciate you rinsing the mushrooms, i never understood why they say do not clean them? Beer tenderizes meat, I love it in beans too! You cook with so much love. ❤
This is my first time watching your video. And I'm already overly impressed.Cleaning is essential and you are the first person.I've seen clean the sink before proceeding now back to the video
Good morning Camirra 🤗 You betta bathe e’rythang sis unless you have your own farm…but still bathe it. All of this recalling going on A F T E R somebody got sick or died 😮. Like you, chuck roast is mos def the move for a good ol pot of Beef Stew 😋. I love those big ol meaty mushrooms you’re putting in there too. I make stews & soups at the end of the Summer and freeze them. Right on time for those Winter months.
the price of chuck roast and literally everything is off the chart. funny i went to Food lion to get a chuck. it was $7lb. realized it was only $7.48 at whole foods up the street but WAY better quality. opted for the WF one for a $1.50 price differnce. its crazy when food lion and WF are almost the same price.
WHAAAT??? Chuck roast in Michigan is over $9 a pound..... I wait till the stores have their bogo free on chuck or English roast then I go all Kamakazi in that place. Best be getting your a$$ outta my path to that meat counter cuz you're gonna get yourself run down I tell ya...😂😂😂
I don't put mushrooms in mine, hubby hates them. I also put a little baking soda in the flour. Helps to tenderize the meat ( courtesy of America's test kitchen). I also add about 1/2 c. red wine if I have any. No big. I put mine in oven for 1 to 1 1/2 hours. Check it half way through and stIr. Add a little bit of water or stock if too thick. Either stove or oven, it's just as good.
Idk why but the small clip of you washing the sink with no audio had me cracking up 🤣🤣🤣🤣 It gave “see what we do in this black house”. No direct cleaning in the sink and still cleaning directly after
And so true about nicely browning the beef. Adds so much flavour as well as a little crisp to the tenderness that comes from the stew
IT TURNED OUT BEAUTIFULLY...YUM YUM ❤❤
I made this and it turned out just how it looks in the video and it was absolutely delicious.

Maybe, it’s where you live. It’s on sale here for $5.00/lb, but normally $7.00/lb
Chuck roast USED to be the cheap meat. Crazy.
Live in southern CA can find it at least once or twice a month for 4.99 a lb or 5.99 lb.
