Classic Dior look, updated youthful and fresh. Love the versatility of the beautiful, floaty and feminine, day to evening dresses. Also some great sporty, wearable pieces while maintaining Dior's signature elegance. Love the little touches of Asian influence. Smart collection!
We have to realise that these babies sell themselves, not in western but eastern. Most Chinese (MOST not all) don't know how to appreciate fashion, but the BRAND, the PRICE.... maybe that's why no matter how we criticise MGC, the brand is still growing.
Reading some of the comments and I just don’t know what to make of it. I thought this show was really beautiful and I loved the collection. I guess I’m not a fashion snob. I loved seeing more classic lines and a strong femininity than I’ve seen in a lot of shows. I don’t understand the over the top HUGE swathes of fabrics that are called collections. Oh well, loved this showed.
I think there were some nice looks hidden on farm - the straw yellow and blue are nice colors and so were a few of the silk flowy dresses.
I love this collection it might not be what we are used to see in Dior but this collection is fresh, young and fun. It’s very Safari chick.

Luxurious sustainable collection. Beautiful presentation of appliqués, embroidery and raffia. Love the hats and kudos for donating the forest (set design) around the city after the show ❤️
Michael Hatcher - you’re very on point..EXCEPT..those hideous hats. So ugly. They look like scarecrow hats. Not good at all. Nothing chic about it. But this collection in general was very cohesive, elegant, fresh and timeless.

It's great to see vertical stripes after so many years of horizontal stripes in fashion... I liked the dresses at 6:28... & 10:30 probably the only garments in this collection I would consider wearing myself... So sad to see such a great Fashion House deteriorate to such a low level. The best thing about this show is the decoration of the venue... I absolutely love the trees! The clothes... not so much...
Maybe Dior is really selling clothing right now, that’s why they continue with this trash, Maria G, doesn’t have the fault for being a bad designer, the ones that really want her are those executives that only cares for earning more money, sometimes we forget that this is a multimillion business and not a world of love for art that makes us dream and feel inspired...

Since when has a Paris couture show been merely a venue for unsaleable unwearable "art"? Leave that mission for museums, galleries and over the top stage productions.
Like it or not, fashion is a business and awareness of the bottom line must be somewhere in the designer's head for his or her creations to be in the realm of reality and have some absolute relevance yet still be intelligently inspired. The fashion geniuses of yesteryear clearly understood that and they appreciated that their credibility and their sustainability depended on it.
Couture/fashion presentations should never sink to being just run amuk spectacles solely for entertainment purposes. It's both irresponsible and counterproductive. Art and fashion while related, are separate disciplines...or should be.
Yes,Maria Grazia Dior is selling incredibly well! They reported that right now,under Maria G they’re selling more than ever before. Especially in Couture. Their couture client base is growing rapidly. As someone else earlier stated,at the end of the day fashion is a business and these clothes have to sell

I love a lot of these dresses and skirts. And I wear skirts quite a lot. Not everyone wants fitted dresses and skirts.
This is my favorite fashion show of spring/ summer 2020. They were all pretty crazy this year. Fendis music was wild this year

Dior still on a roll. The sheer dress prints are stunning. The leading designers are going in such diverse directions, it's refreshing to see. The relaxed informality of the collection is as wonderful as it is refreshing.
this show feels like a fever dream
I’m really surprised on all the negative comments in here. It seems more based on hating Maria Grazia than actually the collection itself. This was good, especially for her. Very cohesive, timeless, and elegant. Although too wearable for what Dior used to be, still manage to elevate the fabrics and finishes to a level that haven’t seen Dior do in a while. It was simple, well fitted, fresh, and somehow still with a touch of modern.
When 1 of the Biggest and most expensive Fashion Houses produces a fashion show, where you can recreate all pieces on your sewing machine at Home :/ SAD but hey Spend your coin for That Name!!! 'cause you're not getting much else...can't bear to watch the entire show

Christian Dior is the most prestigious Couture house in the world. Maria Disgrazia has access to some of the most talented ppl in the world to help her design a great collection, and this is what she comes up with?

This was a splendid offering from Dior. People often forget that RTW should be considered as individual pieces rather than an entire look styled for the runway. The reference to the original muse of Christian Dior was spot on as she too was quite the lady of the garden, as well as a practical woman. This translates well to the viability of the pieces that were shown here, not only are they timeless, but practical, comfortable and beautiful in that they truly fit into the demands of today's woman. As much as many of the designers have focused in the aesthetic of the collections presented, Dior has truly managed to keep a firm grounding of what translates into an economically sound vision for the retail buyer, marketing as well as client. This is why Dior will continue to be one of the few brands who's main profit will be sustainable for the actual clothing. Many other brands fail to do this and rely mostly on accessories to sustain their overheads...is that then not the opposite of the objective of being a CLOTHING brand?...Well done Maria Grazia Chiuri...keep it up! people will hate on you not because you lack talent or qualification but simply because you are not whom their ideals of what they want for Dior are. You are an incredibly talented woman with true insight into what a woman wants and would buy on a REALISTIC level! WELL DONE and bellissima!
Lol Maria Disgrazia literally copied the worst looks of Valentino, the worst prints she could possibly find from past Etro collections, added her sheer thingies bullshit that she usually does, blended them together, and this is the result. Smh
I use to wonder why such clothing lines were so expensive. Now I know how much effort and time is put into such designs. Down to the finer details. Charge your creativity as much as it should. Your time and effort is valuable and it deserves its recognition. Fashion and art do go hand in hand.

This reminded me of some cheap Little House on the Prairie Kmart and Walmart specials. What happened to Dior. Dior's designs were elegant, classy, tailored and feminine....I'm at a lost for words. Why do these designers take over a house and just torch it to the ground.

Maria Grazia, I just adore where your mind went for this collection. I absolutely loved every piece, the styling, the charming set, the models... It was perfection from the very first second. I will own one of these pieces when they finally arrive in the Paris shops❤️‼️❤️
Very feminine, romantic and reminds me the books of Charlotte Bronte. Don't understand bad comments. Dior has always been a brand for ladys, luckily it is so again.

I dont know why so many haters for Maria. Every designer has their own individual aesthetic. I know many ones, including me, love Dior under the direction of Galliano. Why? Cause it's dramatic, theatrical. But his clothes are good for exhibition, not commercial features. Raf just too odd for Dior, maybe he was the worst choice for Dior. Remember how he ruined the house with his boring and plain taste. That's why he is forced to quit from both Dior and Calvin Klein. The maiden under the vision of Maria, is pretty, young. She looks like younger sister of Monsieur Dior. I know many ones here not even touch to a Dior dress designed by Maria. The clothes, yes, fragile and nicely done. She still sticks to the Dior heritage, but she has her own taste and she knows the best for the brand.
