yes he pretty much does all the work that I would try to do , looking at 17lands GIH WR, etc and he presents it all in a really easy to watch format. great content this piece here.
I just trophied tonight with BG, and I think it's got some gameplay as a sacrifice/value deck, although black's doing a **lot** of the heavy lifting. The way I see it, you want: Fodder, Sac outlets and graveyard value/recursion, all of this is in black. Green can help out with Elvish Regrower, Felling Blow, Wary Thespian and Treetop Snarespinner. Fodder: At common you have Infestation Sage and Burglar Rats as great options. Uncommon gives us Infernal Vessel and the much worse (but I still think sometimes has a place) Reassembling Skeleton. Rare gives us the excellent Nine Lives Familiar. Honourable mention to Wary Thespian as a green common for giving a small amount of value as sac fodder. Sac outlets: Common gives us Eaten Alive and Hungry Ghoul as great options. Uncommon Vampire Gourmand is excellent, Arbiter of Woe can top our curve. Value/recursion is where green can come into play a little more, but black still shines: Billowing Shriekmass, Gutless Plunderer and Wary Thespian can help fill the yard (I think a deck with enough of these sorts of effects can justify a Reassembling Skeleton). Elvish Regrower, Vampire Soulcaller, Revenge of the Rats, Abyssal Havester and Zul Ashur (assuming you have Hungry Ghoul) can get value from things being in our yard. Wary Thespian is a decent role-player, it sort of helps fill the yard, sort of generates value if sacrificed, is a good creature for felling blow/bite down, trades off well on the defensive and can sneak through a big chunk of damage if given the chance. Treetop Snarespinner is also great with felling blow/bite down, it lets rats and insect tokens turn into actual threats **and** it can hold back big boards of flyers. Medium flyers are a big problem for black at common, Infestation Sage's token can trade for a Healers Hawk/faerie token, but Vampire Soulcaller can't block. Hungry Ghoul can get big and uses felling blow/bite down well, Vampire Nighthawk is obviously great with them.
I just heard a streamer tell me "rec sage is a good card" (in Bo1) .I'm thinking "really" and i look at stats - 48% GIH WR. LLanowar elves - quite a low GIH WR but the ALSA of elves is way too low.
I have seen elenda turn into a 10/10 quite a few times. It happens naturally that you get to 30 life when you are attacking with a 5/5 lifelink menacer. It has yet to matter that my 5/5 lifelink menacer that had several good attacks became a 10/10 though.
Mine was "as much as I hate it, I need a win con in this format". Which is basically the same. Also just wondering - what % of humanity understands your nick...
@@Sierkovitz Wanted to say, This piece of content here, if i had to choose just ONE piece of content , to learn this format, this is it. actually regretting how much time i've spent trying to learn format before i watched this. my thing is I wait for any new set to hit quick draft before i get into drafting it and i use the time before that to learn the format.
I'll stop playing magic when Llanowar elves isn't powerful enough to be a top common in draft. There's a reason why wotc didn't print this card for so long, it warps formats around it.

A treasure trove of useful information! Thanks for all the work you put in, so we can all be better Magic players.

Keep up the good work.
I've drafted BR and RW the most early on. I think UB (the looting threshold bird is so good) and WU are really powerful when they come together.

Is there enough data to say where monogreen specifically falls relative to the color pairs?
Ugh why would you want to do that do? Mono the worst color.. yea you can check color data but theres prob not enough to be relevant
@@inacio2007 There is something about MonoG - it will come together once in a while and Blanchwood Armor is a neat bonus for being in that lane.
