I aspire to be like you one day Josh, I’ve loved tech for so long, I have 7 phones right now which include my phone and some old phones that my aunts have to me since they stopped using them after like high school. This was super inspiring man :) I’m 13 rn and I have the same dream you did. Thx for entertaining us Josh, happy New Years!
Great video Josh, thanks for showing that the regular guys like us can make it like you did and do what you love. Happy new year bro. Congrats on everything (love the puppy btw)

Consider adding Channel Memberships in the future. Might provide a little extra revenue stream and provide some perks to those that wish to support your channel further. Happy New Year Josh. Thanks for the entertaining content.

That story was honestly touching for me as someone dealing with the hatred of college and everything. I really don't know what to do with my life, but I'm glad you have found what you want to do. Either way, I love how you ranked the 5C so high. The 5C was my first real smartphone. Because of this, it was probably my favorite phone ever. I loved using it a lot and still have it. I also liked my 6S, but I had so many issues with Apple's software at the time and it make me switch to Android. Also, my original 6S's backlight broke due to being in a pool for 10 seconds. Pretty ironic though that whenever I use a 6S now that it almost feels faster than my current Galaxy S8 and it gets current software updates while my S8 doesn't. I love my S8 though for introducing me to using random apps on my phone, and that's why I want to stick to Android at least for now even though I love the smoothness of iPhones. iOS has honestly gotten better since my 6S days. My iPad Pro shows me that.

So proud of how far you've come Josh! Been here since 2018, wow it's been 3 years?! It's been amazing seeing how far you've come not only with your channel, but also with everything you talked about at the end of the video. Can't wait to see what amazing things you're gonna get done in the future but let's hope 2021 is a great year for everyone! Keep it up man
I hear a big difference of opinion from people with the XS line who got the XS Max. It felt like a big improvement on the regular X, awesome battery and a nice big display. The regular XS in comparison was probably one of the smallest upgrades ever between generations
I've been using a iPhone 4s for almost 9 years now that I got in freshman year of high school. Never had a reason to upgrade until now and I plan on making the very freak move of getting the s21 ultra next month when it releases. This'll be fun. Also happy new year!
1. LG G5 2. Google Pixel 3 3. Apple iPhone SE (2016) 4. Apple iPhone 12 mini 5. Essential Phone 6. HTC One M8 7. Google Nexus 5 8. Xiaomi Mi 3 9. Apple iPhone 4S 10. BlackBerry Bold 9900 I've also owned the BlackBerry Bold 9000, iPhone 4 & 5, Palm Pixi Plus, HTC One M7, first Pixel, Galaxy S7 edge, iPhone 7, and LG V20. I probably owned like 40+ phones and about 35 are smartphones. My first smartphone was the Nokia N82 and then iPhone 2G. Nobody likes the G5 but it's the best all-around phone. It's #1 because of removable battery, microSD, and IR blaster.
My phones: LG KG225 - This phone was used for a week before I found my dad's old Samsung Monte with a touch screen. The KG225 is a small flip phone with a low quality camera. Samsung Monte S5620 - I used it for a long time, it had basic functionality but a web browser was built in, so I was happy with it. I lost it eventually and got a Nokia Lumia 520. Nokia Lumia 520 - My first phone with an app store, running Windows Phone 8. It was good at first, then got slow, then I cracked my camera lens. HTC Desire C - My first Android phone. The specs were lots worse than my previous Lumia 520, but Windows Phone was getting unreliable. Alcatel Pixi 4 4"- After a long time with my Desire c, I wanted to get better battery with a decent android version. The Pixi 4 4" had Android 6.0.0 rather than Android 4.0.2. I kept it until 2019 when the screen was shattered and I got a Galaxy A10. Samsung Galaxy A10 - This was a huge upgrade from my Pixi 4, with 32GB of storage instead of 4GB. It had Android 9.0 when Android 10 had came out, but I didn't mind as I got an update for Android 10 in June. I kept it until the end of 2020. Samsung Galaxy A21s - This is my current phone, I only bought it on 28th December. It's the phone I'm using to type on.
Wait hold on you’re only 20? I never suspected that we would be the same age. It’s very impressive hearing about your accomplishments and achieving your dream at such a young age. Congrats on getting this far! Can’t wait to see where this takes you!

Me who had from my born to now (13 years) fourteenth phones: Sony Ericson arc s, samsung galaxy s4 mini (black), Nokia something idk, another Nokia which idk, Samsung galaxy A5 2015, Sony Xperia SP, Samsung galaxy s4 mini (white), Lenovo vibe s1 lite, Samsung galaxy s7 edge, huawei P9 lite, Huawei P30 lite, Samsung Galaxy A50 (2019), iPhone 11 (now)
I can’t ever imagine being that successful any on UA-cam! You’ve got this and I’m sure that you have a bright and amazing future. just a curiosity, will you ever do a Q and A lifestream at some point?
According to my friends, "upgrading" from an 11 Pro to a 12 is considered downgrading, because of smaller battery, one less camera, and smaller size But I consider this as a big win (upgrade) because it has a new chipset, a new design, a screen and a phone size that I can still consider it to be large, and it is amazing.
just hearing how you talk about how much of an improvement in battery life from the XS to the 11 Pro is making me excited to upgrade this September, likely to the 12S if that's what they call it. The current battery life I have is pretty poor, if I use my phone a lot, I'll wake up at 11 and need to charge around 3 or 4, being around 20% at that time. My battery health is down to 80% and my FaceID doesn't work.
I got my first cell phone at 13 in 2011. It was flip phone. It had an FM radio that I listened to all the time. I miss having an FM radio in my pocket.
Same bro my old black berry which I had from when I was 10 to 15 was always a wonderful device thanks to its radio and until i got my first handheld game console and first console in general a new 3ds xl that radio plus its pre installed games would get me thru long car trips at the moment I have a Samsung galaxy j7 crown there 2017 budget phone but I'm planning on getting a iphone se soon
@@aidanhelfrich4887 I got my 3DS in July of 2012. I don’t play it much anymore. I have different radios I listen to when traveling. I have the iPhone 7.
Same feels we have towards the iPhone X when I first held it it was just s so surreal, the premium design, oled screen amazed me at the time, honestly wouldn’t have let it go if not for the battery..so also upgraded to the 11 Pro and truly the battery, camera & the unique midnight green color variant really made me love it. I just feel content with this phone right now & would only update if this breaks down or somethin’ or if Apple truly comes out with another groundbeaking update.
I own a few phones over the years 1. 2005 nokia tracfrone which i remember playing the ball game 2. I had a flip phone with a walking talking 3. Another flip phone 4. tracfone phone touch screen when i started high school in 2009 5. I upgrade to Samsung Galaxy s6 in 2015 which lasted me for so long such a great phone 6. Thinq phone last year 7. Now iphone 12
I’m similar to you in that I didn’t get an activated SIM until October 2018, despite getting my first iPhone (4) in for Christmas 2012 when I was 11. Once that iPhone was getting long in the tooth I also got the iPod touch 6th gen in September 2016, and that iPod still sees use today, so I really got my money’s worth out of that, even though it’s impressive performance was later bested by my 6s I got in December 2017.
All of my phones I have had from first to newest are: Nokia 5310, Nokia N96, Nokia N8, Nokia Lumia 920, Samsung Galaxy S3, Huawei Honor 8, Sony Xperia XA, Huawei Y6 2018, Nokia 7.2, Sony Xperia XZs, Samsung Galaxy A21s and my newest Apple iPhone 12 pro max. I have had many different phones and liked all of them. I have a big phone collection also nowadays. About 20+ phones. Nokia bricks and smartphones, Samsung smartphones and feature phones, rare Nokia models like E7(only 100000 built), and some other smartphones like Huawei Mate 10 Pro and my old Sony XZs. I have also iPhone 4 in my collection, but it wasnt mine. My favorite phone from the collection is the Nokia E7 or my most used phone Nokia Lumia 920(used it still after had other phones and stopped using it when WP support stopped.
My list: (best to worst) 1. iPhone 12 (christmas 2020), brought me back to apple and I like it a lot. Battery life is miles better than the pixel 3 and overall experience dosen't leave me missing android, especially with iOS 14 having the customization i want. 2. Google Pixel 3 (2018), great phone, would still be using it if i hadnt gotten an iPhone 12 as a gift 3. Huawei P8 Lite 2017, was a good phone to replace the samsung, still a budget device but i had fun using it and it survived a 7 meter fall onto concrete 4. iPod Touch 6th gen (2015), was my first ever device, had lots of fun jailbreaking it 5. Samsung Galaxy J3 2016 (Late 2016), was actually decent for its very low price. I used it for a while and installed custom roms on it to expand it's life 6. LG K4 (2016), horrible and broke after 4 months I have an iPhone 4S too that i used briefly (it was my mum's phone for a while) which i have since downgraded to iOS 6. It dosen't fit on the list but its still a great looking phone and especially after downgrading, performance isnt even that bad all these years later
My very first smartphone that I remember having was the Kyocera KWC 2135 with Alltel that I remember getting shortly after my 18th birthday and highschool graduation in May of 2002. That phone I remember using until early 2006 which after that, I mainly just had a phone and internet plan with a cable company until 2010. Hit some hard times of unemployment in the early 2010s, then in 2014, I got the 1st gen Motorola Moto G with Boost Mobile. Then with that same carrier, I then got the ZTE elite in late 2015. Then got the ZTE max xl in early 2017, then got the Samsung Galaxy S8 in early 2018 and I used that until late 2018 when Hurricane Michael came. I then decided to switch to AT&T because it has much better coverage than Boost Mobile, even when I'm on a trip to Mexico. So I then had the Xiaomi Mi A2 in late 2018. Then finally in July of 2020, I got the Samsung Galaxy S10 plus which is what I use now as my primary smartphone. I know its been a little while since I was 20 years old, I turned 20 years old on May 11th, 2004. I don't think anyone had any iphones in 2004. Off and on, I tried using an iPhone as a smartphone like the 5s and the first iPhone SE and I feel like I like Android better maybe because seems more user friendly and customizable, but I guess thats just my personal preference even though I do still use a 2nd gen iPod touch from 2008 sometimes for listening to music. Well have a happy 2021 New Year.
My first smartphone was a Lg L20 Frozen Edition (that is when I was a little boy), then I sold it to my cousin and got a Samsung Galaxy J7 from my dad (now he's an iPhone lover) which then broke, so I got a new Galaxy J7 from my uncle but this time a J7 Prime which I used for a long time until It "broke" (the screen that is, it still works) and now the newly formed Samsung fanatic bought an A21s and I'm using it to write this comment 🙃
I remember the very last time that I went to a community college was in September of 2004 which then I was struggling to pass technical writing so I also dropped out and mainly focused on working and surviving. I did graduate highschool in May of 2002 and I think the only iPhone out at that time was the original 5GB iPod. BTW, what was your favorite smartphone in 2004?
Rating the smartphones / tablets I owned. Best to Worst. Galaxy S20 FE (9/10) Phone I currently using. Currently the best android device i've use and fingerprint sensor is just really good. Galaxy S4 (9/10) My first smartphone and it was media powerhouse. Galaxy S6 (7/10) First upgrade and no sd card support marks it down a bit and also battery life was not great. Performance was really good. Galaxy S8 (6/10) Hand me down, with a dyeing screen and battery. Also the back glass was failing off. Tablet Selection Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 (9/10) A great mid end tablet, with good official support and a great custom rom scene. It did everything well and screen was great for the time. Nvidia Tegra K1 (7/10) What a great device and specs on paper that can beat most of the low to mid range devices. Too bad the final update and hardware issues due to heat and age made the experience slow and killed muiltasking. Cruz T301 (3/10) This android tablet sucked from day one and since it had a mips cpu, app support was non existed. Device also ran slow, web browsing sucked, and video playback wasn't great. Screen was terrible. Honorable mention IPod touch 2nd Generation (7/10) Got it for free, when someone left it in the rental car with no personal information, so couldn't find the owner. Great device despite being slow and used during the end of iPhone 4 era.
Great videos I love that you have all of your music in your videos in a manner that it is Easley to find I can’t stand hunting for music I heard and loved on a UA-cam video. Appreciated
I had seven phones in the last 5 years, so that's an extreme I guess, but that's mostly for three cheap phones breaking in a year in 2017. Here you buy phones yourself, you generally don't buy it with your contract.
Great video hoss. My fiancé has an iPhone X and I have an iPhone XS. We still love them. Just great devices. I still have an iPhone 6 for beater music use and still love it too. May upgrade the XS to an iPhone 13 pro max if it gets 120HZ and is port-less. Thanks again for the video.

Btw OLED actually saves battery life, it doesn’t drain it.
Hey Josh, happy new year! Really liked your style of making videos even back then
Oh hi zach love your vids
I had the Wildfire as MY first smartphone too. I ‘upgraded’ to a Galaxy Ace (which wasn’t an upgrade) and regretted it fast. It was a great phone.
HTC - 1/5
iPhone 5/5
Happy new year, awesome video!
“Choose a job you love, and you will never have to work a day in your life...” Confucius - wishing you more success in the New Year 2021 & thank you for your solid advice on used iPhones, Mr. Josh.

Been enjoying the content, dude. Keep it real 👍
I can’t ever imagine being that successful any on UA-cam! You’ve got this and I’m sure that you have a bright and amazing future. just a curiosity, will you ever do a Q and A lifestream at some point?
Wow, I have never been so early to a 91 Tech video!
You deserve a million sub by end of 2021!!! Great content Josh!!! Looking for more this year
According to my friends, "upgrading" from an 11 Pro to a 12 is considered downgrading, because of smaller battery, one less camera, and smaller size
But I consider this as a big win (upgrade) because it has a new chipset, a new design, a screen and a phone size that I can still consider it to be large, and it is amazing.
For now it is a downgrade, but maybe later on, itll be better...
Happy new year josh, thanks for all the great content!!
just hearing how you talk about how much of an improvement in battery life from the XS to the 11 Pro is making me excited to upgrade this September, likely to the 12S if that's what they call it. The current battery life I have is pretty poor, if I use my phone a lot, I'll wake up at 11 and need to charge around 3 or 4, being around 20% at that time. My battery health is down to 80% and my FaceID doesn't work.
Thanks for the great content josh! Wish you a happy new year 🥳
Love from srilanka ❤️🙌
My First Smartphone, was in the Year 2000, and it was a Nokia smartphone too, from Kmart, and that Nokia Smartphone I had from 2000 to 2003.
I own a few phones over the years
1. 2005 nokia tracfrone which i remember playing the ball game
2. I had a flip phone with a walking talking
3. Another flip phone
4. tracfone phone touch screen when i started high school in 2009
5. I upgrade to Samsung Galaxy s6 in 2015 which lasted me for so long such a great phone
6. Thinq phone last year
Josh, I love your videos a lot. I hope you have a great 2021!
Worst phone I have ever had was the Nokia lumia 530 it was so painful to use
Love your vids, Bro!!!!!!!!! KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!! You’ve helped get me through 2020!!
I miss my doxies so bad she passed way 2 years ago , beautiful pup you have there
Funny story, I used to have a Dachshund, her name was Molly. She was pretty old when she passed, but she had a lot of spunk!!
We definitely would love to see Cola in another video! She’s the cutest.
You are one of the main UA-camrs that I trust for smartphone information I really wouldn’t go to many other places
Such an inspiring video!! Keep up the good work. You are shining !!!
A lot of people I knew had an iPhone 4. I used a 3GS. My current is 6S. Don’t know when I’ll upgrade. I can’t stop using 3D Touch on my 6S.
My list: (best to worst)
1. iPhone 12 (christmas 2020), brought me back to apple and I like it a lot. Battery life is miles better than the pixel 3 and overall experience dosen't leave me missing android, especially with iOS 14 having the customization i want.
2. Google Pixel 3 (2018), great phone, would still be using it if i hadnt gotten an iPhone 12 as a gift
3. Huawei P8 Lite 2017, was a good phone to replace the samsung, still a budget device but i had fun using it and it survived a 7 meter fall onto concrete
4. iPod Touch 6th gen (2015), was my first ever device, had lots of fun jailbreaking it
5. Samsung Galaxy J3 2016 (Late 2016), was actually decent for its very low price. I used it for a while and installed custom roms on it to expand it's life
6. LG K4 (2016), horrible and broke after 4 months
I have an iPhone 4S too that i used briefly (it was my mum's phone for a while) which i have since downgraded to iOS 6. It dosen't fit on the list but its still a great looking phone and especially after downgrading, performance isnt even that bad all these years later
Happy new year Mr. 91 tech😃👋🏾🎇 Great video keep up the good work for 2021!!👍🏽god bless
Great video Josh, keep it up man
2021 over here! Happy New Year!
My mom had the iPhone 5c and she LOVED it. Not saying that my mom doesn’t like her 6s but she loves the smaller phone.
Happy New Year
Happy New Year bro. Love your content. God bless you
My very first smartphone that I remember having was the Kyocera KWC 2135 with Alltel that I remember getting shortly after my 18th birthday and highschool graduation in May of 2002.
Happy New year - love your videos👍
Happy New year
I’ve only used iPhone 6,7,XR,and 12pro max.I’m 26 years old and didn’t get a phone until I was 20 lol!XR felt like such a big upgrade when I got it
You go king! Im so glad 4 you!
Happy new year josh i love your video
Thanks for the interesting phone content. Hope you have a great 2021 =)
Happy new year Josh!
bro, have a happy new year
Going from a second hand iphone 8+ with a shattered back and mediocre battery life to an iphone 12 pro max was probably the biggest upgrade for me
Oh boi I think I can make a good topper. iPhone 4s that I got 6 months after release to a galaxy s21 ultra.
great video omg! also i love cola so much, what a lovely friend
Tablet Selection
Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 (9/10) A great mid end tablet, with good official support and a great custom rom scene.
Honorable mention
IPod touch 2nd Generation (7/10) Got it for free, when someone left it in the rental car with no personal information, so couldn't find the owner. Great device despite being slow and used during the end of iPhone 4 era.
Happy New year everyone 🎉🎉🎉
2021 Will be only about positive News for everyone enjoye guy's.
HELLO COLAAAA really inspiring story josh on how you started youtube!
Happy new year josh!
My route, firefly 2010,iPhone 3GS, 2012 no phone until 2014, htc one s, Alcatel one touch, Nokia 650, 2016 s7 edge, 2018 s8+, 2020 iPhone 12 Pro.
Great video hoss. My fiancé has an iPhone X and I have an iPhone XS. We still love them. Just great devices. I still have an iPhone 6 for beater music use and still love it too. May upgrade the XS to an iPhone 13 pro max if it gets 120HZ and is port-less. Thanks again for the video.
if you think about it, having abou 220k subscrubers means that all those people enjoyed your video.
