    I really love this lesson. It is so timely cuz this week, Sr Espenido, an SDA police officer in the Philippines is being accused of being a drug personalities by some evil enemies who hated his accomplishments in Drug busting big time personalities. Druglords tried to kill him but they were the ones killed during drug busting operations.
    Now, this week, they tried to discredit him and like Daniel, they falsely accused him. But our president, like Darius, does not believe the accusations.
    It is so interesting how God's immanence can be seen in his life. The analogy is striking.
    Please pray with us, for this man of God.
    God bless.

    Ms Jill Daniel didn't take his life into his own hands by praying to God, but rather put his life in God's hands as was his custom each and every day. He put it in those precious palms that have our names written on them see Is. 49:16 and Is . 43:1.
    Older People in God's service never get to retire. They are tempted and tried continuously right to the end. Did Daniel , Moses , or even Jesus get to really live in peace according to today's standards? Those who love God are constantly being assailed from infancy on.
    We can never let our guard down 1 Peter 5:8 and Matt. 24:43. I would actually be concerned if a day went by when nobody attacked me or my faith in God. But these trials are how we know we're still on the right path. Praise God for the trials because they build patience James 1:3 and Romans5:4 .

    Jealousy and envy are not the same. The commandment against covetousness is a commandment against envy.

    • @Heavensoon7
      @Heavensoon7 4 роки тому +2

      You're actually right :they are not the same. Jealousy is wanting to keep what you already have, whereas envy is a desire for someone else's possessions. God is jealous for us (see Exodus 34:14 ),and everything about Him is good. We often use the wrong word because we don't really know the meanings or Society changes the meanings .The other leaders were envious of Daniel. But even a good thing can be used the wrong way. The rich young ruler, for example, was jealous for his possessions which God asked him to share with the poor . Unlike God who owns everything, we must remember that we would have nothing without Him. Our possessions are not our own . We cannot take them with us when we die. God gives to see what we will do with his blessings.

      @@Heavensoon7 unfortunately the distinction has largely been lost. God says he is a jealous God. The love, respect and faithfulness due to Him is not to be shared with 'other gods'. In the same way we can be justifiably jealous when the marital bond is threatened by undue attention from an outside party, who are seeking to break that bond.
      Envy is wrong in every respect. What God chooses to bless others with is His, and only His business. I am to be thankful for what He entrusts me with, and not examine and become envious over what He has given to others. He knows best what I can deal with and warns that the love of money (and by definition what it can buy us) is the root of all evil.

      I'm sorry l don't see an enormous diference between jealousy and envy,although envy is a feeling longing aroused by someone and jealous is feeling or being jealous.
      For me whoever has jealous has envy.
      3ABN is reason when they say starts in the heart(Pastor John ), because you can't see if someone has envy or jealousy.

    How is jealousy the root of breaking the 5th commandment?

    • @Heavensoon7
      @Heavensoon7 4 роки тому +4

      Well , if you've broken one you've broken them all. So what is the definition of jealousy? By definition it is wanting to keep what you have , or the fear of something being taken away from you. A Jealous spouse fears loss of affection by their mate. We belong to God and he is jealous for us because he doesn't want Satan to take us away from him. Ex.20:5 Also , there is Exodus 34:14 "for thou shall worship no other God for the Lord whose name is Jealous, he's a jealous God:" Do we not call Him Father? By the adoption of sons , by Christ's blood we were bought with a price , but not forced to love Him . It's like an adopted child they can love their new parents or not. He loved us enough to give us free will. So even though generally speaking we think of the fifth commandment as being our parents that we are supposed to respect some of us do not have parents , except for God , and he has bought us with a high price. Just as I always say we are never alone. You could take this a step further ,since he called himself by the name Jealous in Exodus 34:14 . If you don't honor God you are taking his name in vain. If you don't honor your earthly parents you are taking his name in vain. And if you covet things of this earth you reject God by making those items your God. Also the fourth commandment doesn't just say that we're supposed to keep Sabbath it says we're supposed to work for everything we get , six days a week in fact. This all shows how all the commandments are connected. The rich young ruler, thought he was keeping them all but really was keeping none of them. He felt no true sympathy for the poor and didn't trust God to take care of his needs. Obviously he didn't realize that God had given him all that he had. So coveting to some degree is a lack of thankfulness. How many times do we forget to say prayer before we eat? Hopefully never, but after this discussion hopefully the next time we won't.

    Amin. It seems very complicated, but no one explains God's mission to the Babylonians. God mission to proclaim that the Babel people worship the living God. God does not let a nation perish without being given a chance, because He is merciful and He is justly fair. That's actually God uses Daniel.

    Does the SDA believe in 587 or 607 Babylonian victory?

    • @Heavensoon7
      @Heavensoon7 4 роки тому +1

      Historically speaking 588 BC /BCE and a return to Jerusalem by decree of Cyrus in 536 Bc ( page 53 Daniel and the revelations 1897 ed. )Daniel was part of the first carrying away of captives in 606 as stated in Daniel 1:1 the third year of Jehorakim. Johorakin Ruled about 11 years plus or minus a month or two in either direction, then Jehoiachin rules for three months and 10 days, next Zedekiah ruled 11 years. Adds up to about 20 years total plus 50 from 588 till Cyrus 's decree . Anything less than 70 years and they would not have known when Christ would come. The Bible states man would think to change times and laws. Daniel 7:25.Well , the scholar world has changed it from 588 to 586 which would make Christ not the Messiah . Changing the date disproves Biblical prophecy and Christianity. Plus it makes the earth look younger than 6000 years .(That 6000 years here on earth belief and then 1000 in heaven was held by most protestant denominations before evolution came into the picture in the late 1800s . :Reference Dr Paul Caram author of approximately 12 religious manuals including Foundations of the Faith)(references 1897 edition of Daniel and the Revelation by Uriah Smith Page 25 for the 606 and 588 dates.). My reference for the 6000 years on earth and the 1000 years in heaven is the Bible :here are the verses that prove it: Genesis 2:17, 2peter3:8 Exodus 20:8-10,and Revelation 20;3. In Revelation20 :3 what prophecy is being fulfilled? That would be the thousand years in heaven. When did God make that promise? Isaiah 46:10. And Amos3:7. Earth's 6000 year week is another proof that God created it in the first place. And if you still don't believe that 6000 here on earth and 1000 in heaven answer this: "how does the devil know he has but a short time to work?"Revelations12:12 could it be that he was there when God created everything on this earth and he knows when the 6000 years will be up? And if you're still not convinced see Genesis6:3at the time of the flood man was given 120 years and then the Lord was done striving with him. God says the End will be as in the days of Noah. Matthew 24:37 . The Jews count their time in jubilees or 50 year increments. 120 x50 = 6000. He's not going to strive with man forever, He is patiently waiting to bring it to a final end .see Nahum 1:7-13 The most important question is : Are we ready for Jesus to return? God says For the elect's sake he will cut the time short see Matthew 24:22.

      It was the Devil the old serpent who fabricated accusations against Daniel as Daniel suffered and humiliated Daniel's faithfulness was firm. Sadly today the same behavior and characteristics of the Devil exists. Because God is faithful, Almighty and omnipresent has always shuts the Devil's mouth.

    • @Heavensoon7
      @Heavensoon7 4 роки тому +1

      constellationpegasus where did you get 1914 out of that?Those that set the pillars of the Adventist faith taught 588 for the Babylonian fall and 606 for the first carrying away and 536 Cyrus's decree to return to Jerusalem. This is what many of us still believe, otherwise the 1844 message wouldn't be correct. If you seek knowledge go back to the Bible . Read 2 Kings 25:8 it states that it was in Nebuchadnezzar's 19th year of reign that he came and destroyed Jerusalem. Second Kings 25 also says in the ninth year of the reign of King Zedekiah Nebuchadnezzar came and pitched and built forts roundabout the city and the city was besieged till the 11th year of King Zedekiah. Where did the discrepancy of the dates Comes into play ? Archaeologist found the Babylonian records and changed the date. Did they really prove something different? No. Calendars have changed over time ,that's the discrepancy in the year that Christ was born because Rome was using the Julius calendar and the Jews were using the Jewish calendar , we today use the Gregorian calendar. Anyway without getting too complicated the Jews started counting their years from the first time of their captivity and said that it was the 19 th year . So , if you pushed it you might get 587 because a month's difference here or there but you could never get 586. Babylonians say that Nebuchadnezzar reigned for 43 years , but Jews say he reigned for 45 because of co-regencies which the Jews counted as actual ruling. You can believe what you want, but I believe the Bible above archaeology any day.

    • @Heavensoon7
      @Heavensoon7 4 роки тому +1

      Additionally, it's always good to get a first hand account ,a primary source of what happens. Looking at Jeremiah 52 verse 31 to 34 (which are the very last words of that book) it says that in the 37th year of the captivity Evil Marduk ,king of Babylon ,in his first year brought jehoiachin out of prison. According to the Jewish encyclopedia evil Marduk ruled only one year from 560-561. This confirms the 588 date.
