She encourages parents to recognize their limits of control & influence, and learn how to trust God with their adult child’s future. I encourage all mothers to not be afraid to completely let go and sign off duty as a mom of adult children. You can keeo praying for them but you dont need to keeo doing for them, planning for them, thinking for them, trying to save them from their own mistakes and definitely not put up with false entitlement and lack of gratitude. Find your own life and enjoy being liberated from being mom. Create your life that is seperate from being a mother. You can decide if its an emergency and you need to step in but let them figure out life without mom for awhile.

You must not be a mother saying what you did.
A mother can not sign off duty, her duties might take different expression, but definitely does not end as long as one have children on this earth.
We have the example of Mary the mother of Jesus, she was His mother until the moment Christ on the cross knowing that He will die, assigned to her a different son in the person of John the apostle and she still continued the duty as mother with John, and John the duties of son to her.
So, once one has become mother, she is mother till the end of her life, if not for her own children in case they passed, for others.
Motherhood is a calling, it never ends in this life and this can't change.
Very hard to do but I see this is necessary because our adult children stop being open to any advice. As a homeschool mom, it’s very difficult to just stop passing on advice and instructions especially when you see they are making foolish choices. This season of having adult children is the most difficult indeed! Praying daily for my precious children.
Please pray for my 4 adult children who are stuck in drug addiction and mental health issues and my 13 grandkids who are severely effected by it.

I worryfor my eldest Grandaughter who thinks it's only a story. I pray day and night constantly. I plead the blood of Jesus over her plus my youngest gd and indeed for my whole family
My daughter is 28 years old and she has inherited my depression and severe anxiety issues and right now she is dealing with heartbreak ...her spouse of 7 years is cheating on her and has told her she has 2 weeks to get her own place and then her 18 year old cat Is about to die any day now and she is scaring me because she is talking about how she just wants to die and as a mother this just crushes my heart and soul...I feel like this is something I can't fix ...I can't make her spouse love her and I can't save her beloved pet from passing away as well as many other issues that are going on in her life so now I feel all I can do is pray and be there for her...I have not been able to sleep lately because I'm wrecked with worry about her but i know she will get through this hard time in her life...

This is so hard! I worry about my young parent children! My youngest daughter 25, ALWAYS needs me! Shes my "baby". But her mental, spiritual, financial woes are stressing me completely out! Yes I too was an enabler & couldn't stop from internalizing all of the stress & drama! It absolutely nearly killed me physically, mentally, & emotionally! Please Parents & Guardians don't let this happen to your life. It definitely shortens your lifespan & you're Quality of life 💯+ (sadly speaking the truth from my own life)😘. Prayers for you all❣️

I needed this as I struggle with two adult daughters and my granddaughter. It’s not just teens. I tried to raise them the best I knew at that time. I lay here in tears and so depressed just not knowing what to do and how to deal with the problems we have. I have no family to talk to about this for guidance except my older sister who is sick herself and doesn’t need my problems. All I know what to do at this point is pray.

@thischosenlife : I have 5, yes 5, daughters . It has been excruciatingly hard this last 12 years . I pray alot and have to remind myself that even cities where Jesus performed many miracles and amazing works they still would not repent. We cannot force it . But continue to pray . I hope we both see our kids turn to the Lord . What a happy day that be !

Thankful God led me here. My adult son is lost. Just found out yesterday that he was moving across the country today. He is making bad decisions. I'm praying for my prodigal son to come back to me. My adult son and I have always been very close. He and his wife had 4 children, with whom I spent a lot of time. I loved them so much. And they loved me. My husband and I went out for lunch alternating every Friday. Then they had a fifth child! I was delighted!! My beloved daughter and her husband and children lived in California. For reasons yet unclear to us my son’s wife (who, we loved, but had concerns about her) decided that we were no longer allowed to see our grandchildren. The baby girl is almost 5 years old and doesn’t know that I am her Grandmother. We have prayed, as have many friends who love us. My son loves us, but he is controlled by the woman he married. Attempts at reconciliation fail. I don’t know what to do with the pain!
Oh this breaks my mama and grandmama’s heart. I pray for a breakthrough! These children need their grandparents and you need them! I’m so sorry.

My girls are 40 and 37 both married to wonderful but unbelieving men. - and have both drifted away from God. My youngest has now decided not to talk to me and it’s been a very painful time even though I have apologised for perceived wrong doing, written to her and love her unconditionally. I’m in a good place now as I’ve surrendered them both to His grace and kindness but I’m a peacemaker, but am now stepping away as the accusation was affecting me.....
I understand, and am in a similar situation where my two adult girls are not speaking to me. I am also in a much better place myself, and have decided to step away because repeated attempts for a relationship have not been returned.

I struggled did much to gain my daughter back for very long time. finally after too much pain I had to let go. its been years. but my daughter is reaching out to me now and told me the night before my recent birthday that yes it was hard for both of us a a single parent familybut I gave her good memories even nun with financial hardship. didn't think is hear test until maybe? my deathbed. in not dying so I thank God for years of praying that my daughter is now coming to me! prayer is the key. boy it hurts very deeply waiting for an answer. that we night not see until heaven! it has brought some healing for both of us

This is so hard, I pray that they turn and cling to God and your relationships are renewed. Just 2 days ago my adult daughter expressed rage towards me for what she perceived as wrongdoings by me. Even though I apologized she still lashed out I say for her own personality issues that she doesn’t recognize. It’s very hard not to be seen for who you really are by someone you love.
My daughter always dumps me too..it hurts because i need that bond but shes got better things to do and people to see

I know my grandparents prayed for me and my siblings. Knowing they went to church and we're strict holy rollers. They prayed for a thousand generations of children and not just their own children. They loved us before we were thought of. Jeremiah 29:11. All of scripture is our guidance.

I've been praying for God's help for my adult son for years and years. He struggles with life in many ways. He's been suicidal often. I placed him in God's hands. Nothing has changed. If anything, he is worse . I'm losing my faith.

Thank you for your story. We know in our heart that God is always there to listen to our prayer, but sometimes it needs some like your story to reminded us that the Lord is listening. I have children young and adult the more they get older the more the worries I have because they are out of reach. I have to remind myself just pray and put it in God hands that he will shape them,because he loves them even more than we do. I like to pray for all who are lost will find the way back to the Lord. That's also include all my children. May God always be by their sides to walk with them each day of their life.

The problem is that my child has one, and the poor decisions that have been made are detrimental to the child as well as herself. That's the most difficult part.

She will not talk to me, bc, she was brainwashed against me from three families and the court system too! She attends College and has a car! She works part time, which, I am proud of her for!😊 But, I am worried about her soul and our relationship, reunification!😢 There has been so much interference from other people that I feel there is no hope for us! My 21yr daughter is pregnant, living with a 26 yr man who won’t work. My daughter works two jobs and they aren’t making it. I can’t get through to her, so I have surrounded her to the Lord. And I have cut off the money unless she moves home, he is not included. It’s so painful. Thanks for the interview.

I just saw this video. And saw your comment. My daughter is 21 moved out got an apartment with someone who doesn't even work. He cheats on her takes her car to meet other females. She had ne take her to a hotel lasniggt he was at she saw the location on her car.but then she got mad at me because I lost my cool with him. She ends up leaving with him. Now she is mad at me. Back I November I had to take her to her car when he wss cheating. I don't know what to do.
@@susieparham3501 it’s painful. My daughter ended up getting pregnant and married. They now live with me, and I support them and their beautiful baby. They have one yr. He is now working, however she still babies him, and does everything for him. It’s still difficult but I’m trying to give it to the Lord and doing what I can as unto him. Have had some tough days. But I’m at peace the more time I spend with the Lord. Hang in there and don’t give up. ❤️

The greatest lessons for parents are taught through our children. Closest to my heart are my children so nothing brings me to the Father for strength and guidance like seeking His leadership for them. I can not parent without a yielded life to the one who created all of us..

If u search for that and join I believe they try and fix you up with a prayer partner, or a small group and you pray for each other’s children. I lost my my mom at age 9. New mom didn't like us four kids. I had 3 children with an abusive ex. I gave them my all. My ex even tried to turn them against me. I love them so much, now their wives are taking them away from me. Just seems so wrong and not fair.
