Louise Hay's book "You Can Heal Your Life" was my first metaphysical book. In January 1989 I was diagnosed with a spinal disease that was to put me in a wheelchair for the rest of my life. After reading the book, I found a Shaman that did a healing and I'm still walking at 82. She taught me that whatever physical ailment I had, there was and emotional attachment that I needed to deal with.

I always used "psychological" instead of "emotional" and recognized every time it feels wrong to me and my client because it is a loaded term.

My parents had a set income, there was never extra money. Ever. Now, I own my own business and know what it's like to be able to pay for things with no worry. I don't blow a ton of cash on stupid stuff, I just don't have that worry like I used to... I reset my thinking and it's a much nicer way to live :)

Amen to this! I suppose parents believe they are teaching the correct things BUT mine were extremely negative and "glass always empty" kind of people. I was raised like Chicken Little as they were fearful people like "the sky was falling" all the time! I am grateful I found The Law of Attraction and broke free of the mindset of lack rather then unlimited abundance. Thank You Universe for things always working out for me for the greater good of all.
It's even more blatant how parents can unknowingly pass on beliefs that can cripple generations to come if one doesn't stop it... I have learned to tap out when my mum starts her rants about how bad this life is, how her struggles just never end etc etc... it took a while, and I didn't want to be rude... so I just look at her and listen whilst appreciating her and what she has done for us.
I have followed Louise Hay since being introduced to her in the mid 1980s - her writings and words (videos) changed my life. I still do her affirmations and use her book, "You Can Heal Your Life" to this day.
I love this lady ...even though it's been just a month of listening to her but she changed my life from the core and gave me a clarity about myself ....thank u Louise ....i also want to be like you ❤❤❤❤❤

I am sitting here feeling sad that my colleagues at work all go out to lunch but l don’t get invited. I’m not an unfriendly or boring person by any definition. I am very polite and self aware when to talk and when not to. I’m just older than them but I have so much to offer no matter the convo/topic. It’s hurtful that they are inconsiderate. I would never do that to anyone, I’d at least ask if they would like to join. Clique groups at work create a bad culture imho. since I moved to this new state, during pandemic, I have had a hard time making friends. I have a great job in high tech field and have many hobbies but no friends to share much with. My childhood best friends all live in far away countries. How to attract new friends I can relate to? I’m not interested in friends that are competitive, jealous. Gossiping etc

Law of attraction and law of allowing are two of thousands of laws of the universe.
Law of karma is another. Not everyone gets everything they want in every lifetime. Everyone is poor in one incarnation, everyone is rich in one incarnation, everyone is famous in one incarnation, etc.
That’s how we learn and grow and expand. You can change portions of your life with your thoughts and actions and intentions but if your incarnation is to clear off karma then you might not necessarily become the multi-millionaire and all that law of attraction proponents offer. Life on the 3rd dimensional plane is simple yet complex. But all the laws of the Universe are always in play.
This has resonated for me on many levels. I always feel poor because I haven’t generated my own high income but my life is beautiful and abundant because of family circumstances. I need to start fully appreciating the blessings instead of feeling angst that it came to me not because of my own work but circumstantially

My ex was the most realistic and pessimistic person I’ve ever met. He hated that I was ‘spoiled’ in a sense that I got what I wanted without working and being as stressed as he was. When I left him, he found my blog about ‘money honey’, mocked it and even used it against me!
After that I attracted so many cycles where I always, always run out of money. Because I felt guilty.
It took a lot of work for me to go back to my innocent childlike trust in the universe, and I still struggle from time to time. But it is true, self love is the key to having everything we want out of life.
