if you plan to go SWCC or SEAL I highly recommend one semester or summer at a community college, right after high school. take Arabic 101 or Spanish 101/102, take an EMT course, Intermediate or Advanced swimming, get your math & computer skills straight. Take a basic handgun/rifle safety course somewhere if you can. Then go in. You'll thrive. All learning will benefit you, it's an environment of constant learning and adaptation.
Hey everyone lets stop arguing over who is better, you realize the usa has all these different units for different reasons yes training can be harder depending on what group ur in but we all fight for the same cause, rangers, delta, swcc, seals, devgru, who ever... we are all badassbe
SWCC is something new..when I was at NAB Coronado they didn't exist as SWCC... Yes there were the PBRs...we used the M37..MK-79..the 1911s the M-16...and pedestal mount 50cal..5 of them..They did not consider us as special warfare which perplexed me...
yeah. go to your nearest recruiting station. they'll get you in the navy and you can do your qualification test as well. i'm still training for the PFT. Good luck to you.
Let me set something straight. and no im not in the military yet hopefully next year but anyways any spec op or special forces unit are GREAT at what they do. Rangers are amazing seals + SWCC are amazing and so on. If you can make it to a spec ops unit consider yourself the best of the best
I dont care where your from, but what i would like to see is a SEAL trained operator, just passed and got his seal trident, do a different countries Tier 1 training course, like SEALS go to Australia and do the SASR selection and visa versa, just would be so great to see as a upload and how they handle it?
@Sailordude05 Yeah every SF company has 1 HALO/HAHO A team and 1 Scuba/ Combat Driver team. They have to go though SF combat divers school and then into various other divers school, including some phases of SEAL school. Other A-teams and Rangers can get certified in the Combat Divers course but aren't in SF A-team scuba teams.
@burtonpro13 Rangers and Army Special Forces guys can go to SCUBA/Diving school too. My buddy is an Army 18X and they're sending him to SCUBA training right after SF selection.
@ReptileDV Generally speaking, if you pass BUD/s you have what it takes to be a SEAL. You aren't a true SEAL until you pass all the training couple years later.
@Trips25octo I'm a candidate ship 20110119, my pst instructor tells me its 22 weeks total. But I saw you said its 14 and 18. So 32 weeks now? Just curious. USN Hooyah
@ReptileDV after bud/s you still have to pass phase two training which is all survival, e&e, hand to hand combat, cqc, and if you pass that then you are a SEAL.
@NickGiannik Hawaiianbro speaks the truth. More so, I've NEVER in my entire ENLISTED term in the Navy, heard a Petty Officer referred to as an Officer. Saying 'officer' is not vague at all. Whenever we say 'officer' we mean Warrant or O-1 and up. E-7 and above are referred to as Chiefs, and E-4 through E-6 are petty officer, or we just call them by their rate, i.e. GM2, IT3, FC1, etc. You spoke to a recruiter, good on you, but you don't know everything yet.
I am currently fixing tl go to the navy and thw swccs is in the navy of course but you have the option u do more classifed higher octane military tasks than the seals theirs more to the swccs its just like the seals in a way but there more to it and the swccs is a type of navy seal
Dont exaggerate SWCC do great work but they do less then the seals just a few little examples: They wont dive or use mini subs they wont do underwater demolition or direct action missions (except in support roles) and they don't do nearly as much weapons training as the seals (they do train a lot but not as much ...) they dont do rappelling training and barely any CQB Some of them might do a little para training but not as much as the seals They dont go through mountain warfare training They wont operate in all seal AOs like mountain or desert terrain So to sum it up SWCC are good guys , very well trained , but they are not close to navy seals in operational capability or training they do a lot and they deserve credit for it but they are not seals
no they dont thats not how they work thats not their job SWCC are the guys on the boats they can do groumd patrols along a river a sea but they do not engage deep in country they do not do the underwater demolition courses they do not do as much CQC They also dont do dive courses (or few of them do) and only a small fraction of them go to jump school They are NOT used as a reconnaissance force and they are not used as assault teams i've got plenty of more examples They are GREAT guys , they train well but there is a reason there is a difference between swcc and seals and there is a reason why they have less strict standards to get into swcc (they are still hard enough) for instance your vision can be impaired to a level the seals will not accept you but swcc will (still has to be good enough) in the tryouts to even get into training they need to run in shorts and running shoes while the seals run in combat boots and fatigues (its actually in one of the videos about swcc)
@mikeyadigone thats why seals is the hardest so in the world to be? and the navy teaches the diver and eod rate in all branches. navy has the best spec ops
Do you know the exact mission of RIVRON? I've been looking to get a little more info on RIVRON since I was looking to go to the Naval Academy, but I don't know the requirements and all that good stuff. Can you (or anyone) shed a little light on me? It'd be greatly appreciated.
@offroaddude333 take every learning opportunity you can get but just realize that you have to be open-minded and relearn things from different angles. What I'm talking about is very basic stuff. Most of the guys bring in all sorts of skills from outside. Many grew up in the woods with a gun or whatever and that can help. Of course some did not and that's fine also but don't turn down any chances to learn. Esp. if you can pick up some language skills- it's hard to get that done once you're in.
Is it true that SWCC isn't seen as Special Operations or do I have it wrong? This is an honest question as I remember reading somewhere that they aren't really seen as Special Operations.
well from the name you can understand what they are special warfare combatant-craft crewmen they are considered special operators for specific equipment their entire training revolves around their specialized equipment (special boats they use) they are used to extract or insert seals into hostile areas as well as give a supporting role to different special operations units they do get a lot of physical training and weapons training because they are expected to be able to cover extracting units as well as carry wounded back to the boats they are not on the same level as the seals though they dont get the broad range of training seals and other special forces get like mountain training or diving for instance but yea they are considered special operators
(just don't take basic courses and go into the military thinking you're done learning or you already know everything- they'll be all over you if they smell that attitude. But it can help you to have some good basic skills.)
im about to enlist anybody have any advise on training for swcc, anything to talk to the recruiters about, what to do and not to do? any advice is appriciated thanks
they can be moved to a lot of AOs by ship or by aircraft , they can operate on rivers ,lakes and seas (they can be parachuted in with their boat by a C130 or be carried in by a Chinook) so they can operate anywhere , provided there is water there
@eminempkr then PROBATIONARY PERIOD where if you do anything stupid or fail any courses or get low marks on evals, you're going back to the fleet. Don't drink and drive, folks.
what is SWIG ? did you mean Swick ? no , if you join the navy seals and actually pass training you become a navy seal if you want SWCC (swick) you can go there directly with a contract for swick They require a less strenuous physical test to get in to SWCC but its still not easy
@mikegarciausn hmm, new to me lol thats cool, before i left i knew they were changing the system a little adding more things to it...Deff a fun school to be in aslong as you dont get hurt and just push through the pain.
i just got a 95 AFQT score on my ASVAB, and a GT score of 138, so I was actually considering this as a possibility. Though, i should probably select a job that will have a more widespread civilian career field when i get out. I'm thinking that's probably going to be Space Systems Operations in the Air Force.
I'm 18 and in the same situation you are dude. I'm a DEPper with a SWCC contract rolling out in June. You can go ahead and cut that shit out. We aren't worthy of respect yet,we're just teenagers. I don't need a self righteous boy at my back, I need a good all around team player. Don't tell him off, just leave him alone, he's not worth our time.
@Rangerleadtheway44 So tell me what you know about special warfare. You an expert? Yall train hard in the rangers? You can't judge the physical requirements for a program that is 14 weeks long based off youtube video's. And if the Ranger video's you see on here are showing you anything worth watching, The Department of the Army needs to revise the amount of information it's leaking about a supposed "special warfare" outfit. Assuming of course that Ranger school is worth keeping secret.
You can brag about how cool the Army can be but realize it wasn't the army who killed Bin Laden. Sure they were with the SEALs as support but they weren't the ones who put a round in Osama. Also, Delta is mainly for the Army, not the Navy. For the Navy, it would be DEVGRU. Navy is not where the real combat is? Then what do you call an amphibious ship able to deploy Marine (Spec Ops or conventional) units? Or a destroyer/submarine firing missiles, nukes even? Really think hard before you debate.
The group that put osama down was no ordinary group it was a six man operation One of the most highly trained squads and only the most prepped and highly trained men make the cut its a whole different ballgame when it comes to elite squads that make those kinda operations such as killing foreign terroist kingpins
@mikeyadigone Mikey if you were or are in the military you really dont know your ass from your elbow. No disrespect, but some of the Special Operations Groups in the Navy are some of the best in the world. SEAL's SWCC's DEVRU ect are rediculously elite groups of spec ops in the world. I am not in the Navy, I am in the Army, I will say this there are a few elite groups in the Army that are highy trained as Special Operators and are the benchmark of the SPEC OPS community.

Take a basic handgun/rifle safety course somewhere if you can. Then go in. You'll thrive. All learning will benefit you, it's an environment of constant learning and adaptation.
Also I’d recommend learning the basics of seamanship, rules of the road, buoys, lights and signal flags/markers.
VERY good advice!
these guys are so freaking awesome.
Swimming, swimming, swimming, and after that a bit more swimming.
~
Arhk Xi And after that? swimming with the .50 cal
I love swimming a 500 for me is easy
No, it's swimming, running, pt, then more swimming and running.
Hey everyone lets stop arguing over who is better, you realize the usa has all these different units for different reasons yes training can be harder depending on what group ur in but we all fight for the same cause, rangers, delta, swcc, seals, devgru, who ever... we are all badassbe
Very well put!
My father was brown water navy in Vietnam and now my son is going to be a river rat
My dad was on the frist mkv soc det
I shot a 50 cal on my first ship, back in '86. I think I shot my wad at the same time.
Most of the images you see from the training tank (pool) and obstacle course are of BCT class 60-2.
For those you couldn't qualify SEAL you got SWCC!!!!!
Said by an obese man most likely
Let me set something straight. and no im not in the military yet hopefully next year but anyways any spec op or special forces unit are GREAT at what they do. Rangers are amazing seals + SWCC are amazing and so on. If you can make it to a spec ops unit consider yourself the best of the best
jason murphy hi how are you now are in military ?
How’d it go dude
Weblos are the special operators of the Cub Scouts.
Should've tried out during my enlistment, 1997-2006 swcc was new outfit
Me too, was in the corp infantry but this is my style
Never new about this job when I went in the Army as a Scout back in 1996. This is some tough Ass training! A big kick in the Dick!
HooYah SEALS and SWCC Boat Teams!!🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🦅🗽🗡️⚔️🔫💀
Interesting, thanks for sharing! 👍
@smithzc40 dude... can i get some advice from you bro?
I dont care where your from, but what i would like to see is a SEAL trained operator, just passed and got his seal trident, do a different countries Tier 1 training course, like SEALS go to Australia and do the SASR selection and visa versa, just would be so great to see as a upload and how they handle it?
Do you still have to go through basic navy bootcamp to start training for SWCC?
+Pollen 998 Yes.
Everyone needs to pass basic training before getting into any special operation as such
Awsome job yesterday, thanks.
Even, though you can't be a CO in SWCC (Unless you pass BUD/S and become a SEAL) , as a Warrant Officer you can retire with some great benefits.
@DevinWhiteman yea its 14 weeks of BCT now and 18 weeks of CQT and its a kick to the nuts the entire time but its fun
Thanks for the information
SWCC is tougher than the Rangers.
@componet thanks man, how far out did u start training before you enlisted. cause i dont wanna fail my first couple pst's
@burtonpro13 Rangers and Army Special Forces guys can go to SCUBA/Diving school too. My buddy is an Army 18X and they're sending him to SCUBA training right after SF selection.
Does anyone know what band/song is playing at 0:19?
stranded -ant farm
@ReptileDV Generally speaking, if you pass BUD/s you have what it takes to be a SEAL. You aren't a true SEAL until you pass all the training couple years later.
I wanna do this when I'm older but my parents want me to be an officer, and this is enlisted only. So would I just have to do SEALs or what??
@Trips25octo I'm a candidate ship 20110119, my pst instructor tells me its 22 weeks total. But I saw you said its 14 and 18. So 32 weeks now? Just curious.
USN Hooyah
@Trips25octo are you a SB guy?
@SmokeyCough SWCC are also on boats the whole time while seals are land and sea but im still proud to join swcc
@Trips25octo is it alright if i PM you a few questions?
@ReptileDV after bud/s you still have to pass phase two training which is all survival, e&e, hand to hand combat, cqc, and if you pass that then you are a SEAL.
@componet thanks I should be enlisting sometime in the next three weeks
@NickGiannik Hawaiianbro speaks the truth. More so, I've NEVER in my entire ENLISTED term in the Navy, heard a Petty Officer referred to as an Officer. Saying 'officer' is not vague at all. Dont exaggerate

just a few little examples:
They wont dive or use mini subs

and they don't do nearly as much weapons training as the seals (they do train a lot but not as much ...)
they dont do rappelling training and barely any CQB
Some of them might do a little para training but not as much as the seals

So to sum it up
SWCC are good guys , very well trained , but they are not close to navy seals in operational capability or training

They also dont do dive courses (or few of them do)
and only a small fraction of them go to jump school
They are NOT used as a reconnaissance force
and they are not used as assault teams
i've got plenty of more examples
They are GREAT guys , they train well but there is a reason there is a difference between swcc and seals
and there is a reason why they have less strict standards to get into swcc (they are still hard enough)
for instance your vision can be impaired to a level the seals will not accept you but swcc will (still has to be good enough)
in the tryouts to even get into training
they need to run in shorts and running shoes while the seals run in combat boots and fatigues (its actually in one of the videos about swcc)
pacific range definitely not a type of Navy SEAL
Wow this comment is pure autism lol
@mikeyadigone thats why seals is the hardest so in the world to be? and the navy teaches the diver and eod rate in all branches. navy has the best spec ops
@Rangerleadtheway44 I was refering to CQT.....

RIVRON is not SWCC just in case you thought it was (this is a SWCC video after all )
E-5 to E-9 are considered as NCO's (non commissioned officers) but still are enlisted, they just hold more responsibility
@TikiBillaBong1 Retainer cords that keep their weapons from getting lost.
@offroaddude333 take every learning opportunity you can get but just realize that you have to be open-minded and relearn things from different angles. What I'm talking about is very basic stuff. about how long does it mecome to compete training to be a swcc? not counting navy basictraining
At 2:18 what are the cords hanging off their 9mm pistols?
its an expandble Line that tethers the gun on your person so you never lose it.
To become a navy seal do you just have to pass buds training?
Is it true that SWCC isn't seen as Special Operations or do I have it wrong? This is an honest question as I remember reading somewhere that they aren't really seen as Special Operations.

@mikeyadigone whats right?
@drummerguy195 No not in the Navy. Only shotgun and pistol.
what is the song?
Ahhhh Coronado~
@williemetoyer1 branch? its navy
does anyone know about the academeic tests liek what are they on and stuff?
If I try this and wash out am I going to have to clean toilets or push a mop
@Rangerleadtheway44 u have the right attitude for the training. but it's far from easy. it's 5 to 10 times harder than ranger training
You Can Be A Civilian, And Join Swcc, But you Have to Get Ready For All the Hard Training !
Wish they had Officer positions for SWCC. It looks like something badass and challenging to do, but I want to use my degree.
"SWCC" Officers are usually Navy SEALs, since SWCC doesn't have their own officer corps.
so who are they under
im about to enlist anybody have any advise on training for swcc, anything to talk to the recruiters about, what to do and not to do? any advice is appriciated thanks
No wonder Master Chief was so good......he was in the Navy!
@ReptileDV Your looking at 2 years of training after BUD/S then you are a SEAL
so do i ask a recruiter about joining or how do i do it
jarhead4635 i am talking to my recruiter about it today. A bit nervous
Anyone know the background song?
+Pollen 998 Its by a rock band called Alien Ant Farm
+Zenduba Halimana thanks man
Nope - Alice In Chains - Rooster
what does he mean they can operate anywhere
they can be moved to a lot of AOs by ship or by aircraft , they can operate on rivers ,lakes and seas
(they can be parachuted in with their boat by a C130 or be carried in by a Chinook) so they can operate anywhere , provided there is water there

what is SWIG ?
did you mean Swick ?

They require a less strenuous physical test to get in to SWCC but its still not easy
@@pele220 Swick? You mean SWICC?
@NguyenUSNR ...For the swimming I highly recomend the stew smith dvd! It got me swimming 8:20's for the 500 in a very short time and i'm 210lbs
@mikegarciausn hmm, new to me lol thats cool, before i left i knew they were changing the system a little adding more things to it...Deff a fun school to be in aslong as you dont get hurt and just push through the pain.
I was talking with my friend about the Navy and I mentioned the rank 'Master Chief Petty Officer of the Navy' and he said, "From Halo?" 0_0
Do SWCCs ever get of the boats and acctullly
@airsoftkombat see you there aha....im signing next week when my recruiter gets back
i just got a 95 AFQT score on my ASVAB, and a GT score of 138, so I was actually considering this as a possibility. Though, i should probably select a job that will have a more widespread civilian career field when i get out. I'm thinking that's probably going to be Space Systems Operations in the Air Force.
Gory Guy of Glory good for you. But really no one else cares.
@freakenboy808 thanks
@HansenBruce Uh, I know, that's exactly what I said. Did you read my comment? I'm a Navy veteran.
@Batmanchevy4x4 go to SEALSWCC.com and then click on SEAL/SWCC mentors and find one in your area..it also lists phone numbers I think.
@ReptileDV yes
Cool
these are some bad dudes...
i leave for training in july i believe..
jordan rank how did it go ! Please reply!
jason aponte this was 7 years ago lol
I'm 18 and in the same situation you are dude. I'm a DEPper with a SWCC contract rolling out in June. You can go ahead and cut that shit out. We aren't worthy of respect yet,we're just teenagers. I don't need a self righteous boy at my back, I need a good all around team player. Don't tell him off, just leave him alone, he's not worth our time.
Thanks for the help, so you have to do that to be a seal
Lol its been 8 years but I hope you realize that this isn't seal training this is swcc. Seal training is far worse
Seal Team. Everyone knows. Sarcs. No one knows. But videos are made.
There is a team prob. no video, no name, no one knows. GOOD. Keep it that way.
@marleynrs8 yea thats fine
@Rangerleadtheway44 Good luck. And I don't mean that as an insult.
SWCC yea
That's why I said "We aren't worthy of respect yet,we're just teenagers." Did you miss that line? No offense bro.
@Realtomahawk07 Thanks =D
1:30 OMG, they have to PEE TEA?!
that is the physical,.......what about doing one's own psychological life timeline, that identifies bottled up emotional trauma, to resolve it.
@Jim24G keep your head down ahahah
This "Who is better argument" is pointless we Americans are all on the same team so get along
Nice fox hound
