I was with EE on the 900/110Mbps package. Wasn’t able to upgrade to the busiest home bundle 1.6gig when my contract expired. Thankfully I have an altnet ISP in my area called Zzoomm. For £54.95 I get 2gig up and down. I also use the TP Link BE9300 that is WiFi 7 ready.
Thank you for your feedback. It's great when you have these smaller ISP's in your area as you can usually access faster speeds. The TP Link would be ok until 2.5 Gbps which is the limit of it's ethernet ports.
Do you Think that Wi-Fi. Connection will be Better, Than Wi-Fi Five I have Concrete Walls usually. I Use Powerline with and Old Deko Model. I Wonder if This is someone better, without any Power line
Hiya mate I’m based in s wales I’ve just ordered these funny enough. So basically what you said in the video I can replace the hub with the new mesh ones?
That is correct. EE permits you to use your own router, but support is only provided for the supplied equipment. The settings can be found at ee.co.uk/help/broadband/getting-started/using-and-configuring-a-third-party-router
do I simply plug it directly to the BT openreach connection point thingy, bypassing my ISP router, to get the full speed? If so what is the maximum speed of that point
Yes, you plug in an ethernet cable from the router into the BT openreach ONT on the wall. The app should detect the type of connection you are using as PPPoE and as you for a username and password. For EE you can get these settings at ee.co.uk/help/broadband/getting-started/using-and-configuring-a-third-party-router
I currently with EE and in my area they are installing full fibre i was wondering if 900 mbps or 1.6gbs would be best for me as 3 people are in the house which is the best for me?
I think for most households, 900 Mbit and even 500 Mbit would be more than enough. If you regularly download large files and need then quickly, for example if you edit videos or deal with large databases, and can make use of this high speeds, then the faster connections are better.
Bro why do you have a kid on your thumbnails I think that might be the reason UA-cam isn't recommended your videos your videos are good just use the product as a thumbnail
Hi - thanks for your feedback. He is not a kid - he is aged over 20 and is our IT person. Hopefully we can get him involved in the videos at some time.
@studioidris Sorry I'm not trying to be clever it's just that your target audience is over 25. Google algorithms don't see it like, he's your IT guy. Your videos are really good and your channel needs to grow. You need better thumbnails.
That is correct, as the TP-Link Deco does not have a telephone line connector. However, some older ONTs (the BT Openreach modem) have a telephone connection on the ONT rather than the hub.

Nice video. How close to the routers have to be when connected wirelessly to maintain a reliable mesh connection?
Thanks

Great video thank you for uploading !

If you have multiple Deko Routers, wenn The Connection between the should Use Wi-Fi seven Right

@@studioidris I play VR on pc and need to stream it and also download games so I guess would you think 900mbps would be enough?
I always wondered, who is the person on the thumbnail?
That's Idris, who helps with the photos and hardware 😀

one word of warning this router doesn't suport the bt digital voice, you will need to use the EE/BT hub

Reading from an AI script by the sounds of it.
Get starlink I get 250 gbs
Over price junk, you can purchase enterprise grade products for less.
