11:00 This mural amuses me. Everyone is in their "default post time skip outfits" except for Nami. I guess they had a problem with her bikini top haha. I also noticed Jimbe is covering most of Franky's speedo.
I know that is probably asking for too much, but I wish they decorated the Jurassic Park area and the Feast Restaurant with the Topi Roppo (Since they are all characters that can turn into Dinosaurs). Maybe they could have even made it like one of Queen's clubs and had Apoo in the middle with a DJ table. Also, the Straw Hat on the T-Rex also would have been a great touch, (like you said).
I remember it being Wano Kuni themed last year, so they might have been around then. I was taking a break from the One Piece fandom then, so I didn't go in so I don't know for sure.
I was thinking it was meant to be like Little Garden but I think the Toni Roppo would have been cooler.

Yay, I'd been hoping USJ would do another One Piece event so you could cover it! That merch store is my DREAM since there isn't a lot in the States besides figures, but considering I'd spend... way too much money in there that's probably a good thing 😅
Yeah, it’s confusing. It’s probably a licensing thing. I know FUNimation holds the license for North America, but you’ll find their merch in the MIB gift shop at USF, and in the Japanese pavilion gift shop at EPCOT, all with the FUNimation logo. I guess neither park does anything behind this due to the properties not being as big as they are in Japan. You’d just think Universal would just ship that stuff over to the domestic parks since it’s already made. But due to licensing reasons, I guess they can’t sell the merch here without FUNimation getting a cut.
I hope they do something for the LA when it comes out

i went to Universal studio's in Japan Missed the premiere i saw the poster while i was there my Mind was blown My family and i had a blast both in Disney and universal studios
They put one piece and Jurassic park together woah, one of my favorite movies along with one of my favorite shows I would die for that!
Does anyone know why Zorro, Sanji and Luffy were so heavily focused on in the merch area instead of the whole crew?

I know I'm late, but Sanji is my favorite character and I just want everything with him on it. Law is another fave so seeing the little plushie of him was awesome!!! I wish I could order some of the stuff.
Was just at Universal Japan in the beginning of September. We were keen to get a Luffy hat but they were all sold out and it wasn't restocked the next day. It's crazy how quickly the popular merch sold out, couldn't find alot of Zoro or Luffy merch but alot of Sanji stuff was left over. 😅
Not sure how much merch will be left by October. I'd like to think they'd restock it a bit more as it's unfortunate for people who come at the end of the season.

I think the "American" thing for Franky is because Oda listed him as being from America if the series was set in real life. He's supposed to like "American" Food like Cheeseburgers and Cola. I would assume the Franky's Chicken is supposed to make you think it's how they would think of distinctly "American" food?

I enjoyed seeing the one piece merchandise and all of the decor that universal japan had set up, but it stood out to me that you said luffy as it looks, rather than how it is pronounced, which is loofy. I guess nothing else can be done at this point, but I just thought I'd let you know.

I am so jealous! our parks pale in comparison! while we in Florida do have Epic Universe coming in a few years with Nintendo World, I highly doubt we'll get anything near as cool as the special events that USJ gets.

I really wish that universal Japan would build some rides based on anime and manga sailor moon would be a great dark ride. One piece would make a great water ride, and a attack on Titan hyper coaster would also be great

Anyone in the park is able to buy the merchandise. There may be a line but you can simply line up.
