The org im part of managed to steal an operational idris from xenothreat and had it for around 10 hours and ended up attacking the xenothreat idris with our own.
I can't wait for the dynamic server meshing to come. Or static but manually set to cover event area or something like that. The event seems too much for the server to handle along side rest of the stanton.
@@Astro_Mani Yeah I guess that's the Star Citizen experience in a nutshell. Bad performance, slowly gets better, and they adds things and it's back to bad performances. And we need to live with that until release (I hope).
I think this is the kind of gameplay people want for the day-to-day, not special events that potentially churn the server to a halt. Can't wait for this type of stuff to be happening constantly in the verse!

Personally found the event to be a bit of a letdown so far. Can't complete it cos everyone is hell bent on stealing the Idris rather than destroying it. Getting the armour was nice but just once I'd like to actrually finish it. Not to mention a few bugs where I go from a completely intact fighter to destroyed and floating in space and not able to move with tractor beam or suit thrusters. Congrats on a great video and well done on almost 5k subs Mani
I know the AI will improve a lot when the game releases, but maybe stealing capital ships from npcs will be something viable if you have a prepared group, and that's exciting haha

What a joke of a game. AI can't even respond and it's just EZ mode bullshit. CIG needs to seriously unfuck the game because this is a joke. Is it cool to be on an Idris? Kinda, but it's also a slap in the face to anyone that owns one. Still doesn't make up for FPS missions being worse than even a simple Unreal or Unity template game a 10 year old can slap together. $700,000,000 and this is all the NPCs can do.

It's a good thing those NPC's weren't more responsive. Very entertaining to watch.

I like that the Idris makes for a good fps level, without being awful ship interior design like the starfarer.

How do you get the Idris to stop moving so you can board it?
Many ways. But I think the best way is to get lucky. Seems to be easiest. You can kill the pilot of the Idris with missiles.
Fun...should have picked up some grenades from the fallen guys. plus, you can switch weapons quickly from the new loot menu.

it completes when people board it and kill the leader, its actually easier than full killing it

We took one over yesterday where the ai were pretty active. It was fun.

How did you manage to board it overall. The only time I was able to board it was while it was stuck at an asteroid never got in the normal way.
