This version really lets you hear the lead vocal much better than the LP version, even though it's the same take.. I've always loved this vocal by Mick, he nails it all the way through, and really cuts loose at the end. One of the best songs they EVER did. Don't you wish Mick Taylor had stayed with them longer though? Thanks for the posting.
I love Ronnie also, but Mick Taylor just gave them a better sound, just two different player's and Ronnie and Mick T. jam together at solo gig's they are very good friend's.....
Better bass, much more piano, vocals sound about the same to me. Sounds like Jagger oversaw the original mix and protected his vocals at the expense of some other stuff.
Brother, it slightly being off on this one makes it. Actually, I think it in tune and on pitch, I think its just the open G tuning gives it different tonal qualities.
Absolutely smokes the album version--Nicky Hopkins is God!
Here Nicky Hopkins rockin at his best!! Sounds so good!!
Open up the Throttle Mick !
This was the first version I heard. I have the original 45. It beats the LP version by far. Thanks for the upload - now I won't wear out my vinyl!
Ya, the back ground singers add a lot.

@@freakbennett2263 - Easy, fB - maybe jm2010 is a liberal.
You mean never a better one than Mick Taylor. Unhappily Keith and Ron were already in "couple".
Flip B side mono 45 single of "Happy".
Well I happen to have a great deal of admiration and respect for Ronnie Wood if I may say so.
DITTO !😎!
Why did they bury Nicky on the album mix
