I’m about a month into ROP and love it. I just came off a long powerbuilding cycle so I’m happy to give squats a break. Just goblet squats for my warmups and cycling/jogging on my variety days. Legs feel great.
@@DanJohnStrengthCoach Luka from Hardstyle Kettlebell did a video on this recently. Instead of adding rugs to the ladder, you stay with 1-3 and keep adding ladders every session until you reach 60 reps. Then repeat the same with ladders of 1-4 and eventually with 1-5. Once you reach 60 reps with 1-5 you progress to a heavier bell. Snatches are done every session in timeless S&S fashion, starting with 20x5 and working up to 10x10, then add weight
It's fantastic until you get to the 70 lb./32 kg and then getting nicked up becomes the problem. 150 clean and presses in a day with that weight and higher is a LOT of volume. At that point, take the variety days off, walk and stretch.

That's basically what most people do, honestly
What are your thoughts on the Jurassic variation for a long term approach?
I don't know what this is. Sorry.

That is a good idea. Mike Brown told me the same thing about ten years ago, basically.
@@DanJohnStrengthCoach Awesome, thanks!
I guess you have a website i can get hold of this 5 day programme?
The information is literally two inches above your question...

I did some really extended work with ROP and I did find that, ultimately, the variety days were just easy stuff, too.
