I've been listening to this since it first came out but I actually used it to fall asleep to just last night. Hits completely different, was like hearing it for the first time again. This is a truly beautiful sound. If you aren't listening closely it sounds like its just one tone but you realise that there are subtle variations to it which make it so effective. The main sound fluctuates a little here and there and then there's a second sound which comes in every now and then, but the two aren't perfectly synchronised, they only line up in the same way every now and then, and the time between those moments is long enough to make it feel like it isn't looping at all, but that every moment of the sound is very slightly unique. That may not actually be what's happening but it's what it sounds like to me. Will fall asleep to this again.
;) yep. You know, even before I knew what dark ambient was, I always liked the eerie music they had in some movies, or the dark intros to metal tunes. It's one of those genres I was a fan of before I even properly heard it.
Sleeping with headphones on and having this thing playing can cause some cool nightmares. Had one where I was in some pine woods and all trees had speakers in them which were just playing this. I kept breaking them but the music wouldn't stop. Somehow it terrified me in my sleep and I woke up in cold sweat. It was dope.
I feel like anxious people listen to this kind of music more often. Especially people with childhood traumas, at least that's my and my friends experience. To me this unprecised, ever present fear is just so familiar that when it's captured in a calm manner by such music I feel simply at home - plus, willlingly putting yourself in this anxious state (by listening to this type of music) envokes a sense of control, and that's what makes it feel so good - and paradoxically, peaceful.
Rhys S. I think that's exactly it. I have high functioning anxiety and lived the first two decades of my life without knowing it. I've always been drawn to things that are conventionally scary, disturbing and unusual. It's hard to place a finger on it, but I feel stuff like this is more representative of myself. This wasn't the first beach he had woken on, but most certainly the most interesting, there was a sound, it seemed to come from everywhere, a low hum that ebbed and flowed with the crashing waves, with every footstep. It took him a while, the beach wasn't all there was, plenty of mountains and desolate plains to wander. The planet was hollow, it's surface crystalline, with every movement came a sound, a low hum that resonated through his bare feet. This was a peaceful place. He lay back down upon the amethyst sand and closed his eyes, until he faded back.
I’ve read many other comments talking about this too, but I really don’t understand why I enjoy listening to this and other dark ambient music so much. There’s a sense of calmness that I get when I listen but I am unsure why.
This image reminds of a time when my aunt took me and my brothers out of town for a trip. We went to this small town to see the fair and go on the rides, but after everything closed down, we all went to this very long beach late at night just messing around, grappling and stuff like that. After we all got tired we just sat there looking out onto the water. It was a full moon, so we could still see very well but the lake seemed endless as it faded into darkness. Was very peaceful, all of us there but not speaking a single word. Just adrmiring the view.

Your choice is a choice of pure human being. Coz we came from nowhere. And shall go to nowhere. Nowhere sounds like this music i think. And more many people think so too :) Happy new year bro
This plunges me in a world that is perfect to my vibes, my tastes, my likes and loves. So chilling, thrilling, relaxing and just so hypnotizing. For some reason I think of SAW, cause when I think dark and horror things, the first thing on my mind is that. I feel my gothic soul relax when I hear this, I feel calm. Oh how weird it is to love the dark stuff, it truly does relax my mind, as for the atmosphere is just so perfect to me…. And the one true thing my heart goes wild over during this is Jigsaw/John Kramer, imagining this music playing as him and I are hiding away in his hideout. What a vibe to feel, a fantasy only I will truly understand.
As I listen more and more it brings out my childhood of binge watching SAW, and other horror related things. But SAW had the biggest impact on me and this music brings out all the vibes it gave me all those years and truly solidifies the fact that there is nothing in this universe that could ever make me feel the way SAW makes me feel🧩❤️🔥🩸🖤❤️
@@DoomSlayersPrincess What was it like for you seeing the first SAW for the first time? I was 11, unsupervised and had heatd about it. Completely blew my mind and I still love it. So unique!
In the past I have tried to listen to calm, peaceful sleep music, and it doesn't work for me. I need dark ambient. I'm seven minutes in, and not sure if this is dark enough, but will try it. Thanks in advance for the upload.
At first I could only sleep to thunderstorm, then instrumental Christmas music, then someone talking in a groggy voice for 8hrs. Then this. What is wrong with .e
Simply beautiful - the art of good REM sleep, perfected. The sound pervades entirely into my unconsciousness (if such a word exists - which it does not) and releases the soul (if such a thing exists).
Whenever I come back to this specific video I always think about being on the ocean terrain of the background image that's used for it. Watching the ocean waves collapse over each other, completely unbothered. I still dream to be isolated in such a perfect environment.
This sound makes me feel safe, I don’t know how. It matches with the sounds of my home i guess. The traffic sounds+animals+people+machinery being used in the morning+the fan+the religious stuff going on in the TV+voices from the field nearby.
Had a dream last night that I was an archaeologist, harvesting fossils on some far away planet called "Semulturian" which was very similar to Mars--a very comforting orange color, like twilight, and a lot of sand, from what I remember. Some friendly, half human thing with a small elephant trunk where his nose should be was at my side helping me excavate. As I produced a small fossil and brushed it off with a small dust brush, he informed me that I had indeed discovered a "broccian" which are like brachiopods we have here on earth.I smiled. He smiled and nodded. And then I went back to work. And then I woke up. Lol. I have very bizarre, lucid dreams. Never drug induced either. This music reminded me of the comforting sound that surrounded me in that dream and on that planet for some reason. And this is my first time hearing this song. Strange how that happens.
Higher frequency - higher mental thinking, meaning closer to material reality. Lower frequency - closer to dreams and energy that created us. Zero is nothing and everything, it is the only one.
What if the creator of this is hypnotizing us to turn into soldiers whenever a word is pronounced. An army of tech nerds. My gf said, I kept repeating, "Im going to take over the world, The world is mine, Im king of the world, Come forward my children, Nonconformists and outlanders will parish" in my sleep when Im listening to this. What's so unusual about that? Totally kidding. Hahahaha! I slept like a baby. Like 👍. Good night my children. 😏
It's probably on my Bandcamp somewhere. I've made too many songs to remember what they're called and I never keep records of what is what, except what is uploaded to Bandcamp. Complete chaos.

Your choice is a choice of pure human being. Coz we came from nowhere. And shall go to nowhere. Nowhere sounds like this music i think. And more many people think so too :) Happy new year bro
Thank you for this masterpiece
I'm not sure if this is music for sleep or the music you can hear when you're actually sleeping, in your deepest dreams.
Very cool and dark tone! Keep them coming! As an electronic dance music producer myself, I always love your dark ambient drones.
I can't explain what about this makes me so deeply sedated. Makes me sleep so deep
Thank you so much, this helps me sleep uninterrupted throughout the night.
This has a really warm feeling if the cold is making You sleep!
this gave me horrifying, vivid, and surreal thoughts. will be good for art, but wasn't so good for bedtime.
i apologize. my lawyers apologize. my shareholders apologize.
@@IronCthulhuApocalypse you are amazing
Perfect mood for writing.
I 'm found finally all my thinks and feelings from time when I was kind greetings from Poland
I've been listening to this every night so i might as well leave a comment when i do
Night 1
Night 2
Night 3
Night 4
Night 5
At first I could only sleep to thunderstorm, then instrumental Christmas music, then someone talking in a groggy voice for 8hrs. Then this. What is wrong with .e
this one is my favorite. i love your work. it's insanely good. keep it up. 👍
That image is beyond gorgeous.
Great for meditation...
Simply beautiful - the art of good REM sleep, perfected. The sound pervades entirely into my unconsciousness (if such a word exists - which it does not) and releases the soul (if such a thing exists).
Just found your channel a little bit ago. Really enjoying it I listen to it while I read a lot.
Cool. Welcome
Love this saving it in my favorites thank you for sharing
This helps out easing my heart palpations with stress thanks
THE GREAT GOD OF DARK AMBIENT HAS ARISE AWESOME
Whenever I come back to this specific video I always think about being on the ocean terrain of the background image that's used for it.
Watching the ocean waves collapse over each other, completely unbothered. I still dream to be isolated in such a perfect environment.
I tried it, and i slept like a baby. Thanks 😁👍
You can just imagine Yourself standing where the moon is, glowing down on You, with Your eyes closed.
This gives Me a calm state of mind!
Damn you right thank you
i agree.... feel free to check my stuff out

Very well, as I will! 😊
"Shhh. No screams. Only dreams."
Dream of despair
ahhhhhhhhhhhhh
I just had a thought: „When you surround yourself with darkness, there is a lot of potential to see light“ maybe we prefer darkness because of this.
Your music helps put me to sleep ICA.
This sound makes me feel safe, I don’t know how. It matches with the sounds of my home i guess. The traffic sounds+animals+people+machinery being used in the morning+the fan+the religious stuff going on in the TV+voices from the field nearby.
This sound gave me very lucid dreams, thank you!
Great Job 👍 👌 👍 on this video. 👏. Lovin' It.
Oh yeah, this in combination with my “sleep medicine” will probably give me some great weird dreams :D
Higher frequency - higher mental thinking, meaning closer to material reality. Lower frequency - closer to dreams and energy that created us. Zero is nothing and everything, it is the only one.
Sounds like inside of airplane or my air conditioning. I like it! Is relaxing
favorite sleep music 💤
I xan't wake up but this i had to know going back jeffg thanx
What if the creator of this is hypnotizing us to turn into soldiers whenever a word is pronounced. An army of tech nerds. My gf said, I kept repeating, "Im going to take over the world, The world is mine, Im king of the world, Come forward my children, Nonconformists and outlanders will parish" in my sleep when Im listening to this. What's so unusual about that? Totally kidding. Hahahaha! I slept like a baby. Like 👍. Good night my children. 😏
This is Captivating 😎✌️
I have proper lucid dreams to this but honestly get the best night sleep
Definitely had a crazy nightmare listening to this. Something to do with the Phoenix Lights and an alien lurking in the shadows of my house.
Hmm sounds weird
A 10 min version of this great eargasm ?
It's probably on my Bandcamp somewhere. I've made too many songs to remember what they're called and I never keep records of what is what, except what is uploaded to Bandcamp. Complete chaos.
