Double sided tape is a great way to snug your wire against the cabinet corners when running it. No staples required as long as the wire is straight and smooth
Great video...but I think I missed a step. I didn't see how the wires were provided power and how the wires connected to the switch. I can imagine how it was done but wanted to see how you accomplished supplying power through the switch. Thanks Stud Pack.
not sure if anyone mentioned or not, but could have mounted the brackets to the blocking without having the blocking mounted to the cabinet. Put the lightbar on the clips and then screw the mounting blocks to the cabinet. Great job either way! Wished lived near you to hire you for a house remodel.
You can burry a UL lister cord assembly in a wall. But once you cut the end off its no longer a listed assembly. Lamp cord is not an approved wiring method.
Thanks for this super informative video. I would like to use that product in my kitchen remodel, but I have not been able to source it locally. Did you say the brand is E-LITE? If you could point me where to pick this product up, I would deeply appreciate it. Keep making the very useful videos, and thank you for sharing your knowledge, Mike
Thanks for the great videos! May I suggest you setup an Amazon store and link the products you use. I'm planning on purchasing Elite under cabinet lighting and other products you use because of your videos.
So, hindsight...drilled and put in lighting before you installed that molding...Love remodels. Because no kitchen is ever the same... You did a pro job. Looks good.
I know this is a separate subject... but I have a 9 ft ceiling and was curious to know how far out from the cabinets do you guys place your recessed wafer lighting.
I love the fixture. My present undercab 120v fluorescent lights are hard wired. Will electrical code allow you to run 120v cable through all the cabinet walls?
Romex is not approved to run through cabinets. I ran the factory supplied power cord for the lights thru the cabinets (much like a dishwasher cord or microwave cord is routed thru cabinets to plug them in). We took great care to protect them from physical harm - my greatest concern. Thanks CPT!
Great vid! Step by step was key, side note, you could use clear or white silicone to secure that wire in the cabinet, jus apply a bead of silicone and secure it with blue painter's tape for 24hr than remove to reveal a clean look 🤙
@@StudPack thanks! I'm renovating my kitchen and I have all low voltage upper and lower lights currently. I'm looking for an LED plug and play conversion
Nice catch Jah Mar. The wiring from each of the three sets of cabinets went directly up into the attic where they were all connected to the switch leg. I didn't go from one cabinet to the other.
I hope you can reply. I am interested in these lights. I can find them but it is suggested to check with factory for dimmer compatibility. I get no response from Elite email and website is limited on info.
I use Lutron Diva CL dimmers for LEDs. Never had a problem. The instructions for most fixtures have a dimmer compatibility section. Thx and best of luck Arthur 👍👊
@@StudPack ok there is all sort of model of elite lighting myself and others here that have ask. is what brand i would like to know what model lighting did you use'
Love seeing a Father/Son Team!! Good stuff.
It's encouraging to see young people value, respect, and become engaged in trades, especially when it's reflected as pride in one's parents.
Great team guys, father and son working together.

I love that backsplash is so much fun. I loved the video
Best video I’ve seen for under cabinets lighting
Beautiful kitchen, love the backsplash and the lighting , you two are perfectionists !!
Thanks Laura Lee !!
Perfectionist? I guess you missed the part where the old man ruined the cabinet with the drill chuck! LOL
Does anyone know the backsplash details?
Those really add a lot of light! 💖

Yes. Do you happen to know which lights these are?
@@formulah1 I ended up using Home Depot's Commercial Electric, 16 ft. LED Tunable White Tape Light Kit- Under Cabinet Light
Daaaaaannngggggg - Joe dirt.

Thanks JW!!!
Looks great. Good step by step
Great job guys
Looks great
What make and mode of light fixture did you use?
Nice video man…. Where you get that back splash
Does your 2-3 hour install time include wiring the lights to the dimmer switch?
I know this is a separate subject... but I have a 9 ft ceiling and was curious to know how far out from the cabinets do you guys place your recessed wafer lighting.
I see you wired in the attic for power but able to show how they are all off the one dimmer switch?

Hey fellas, can you give me some info on the range hood you have in that kitchen????
Is that your house? Where did you buy the cabinets from? I'm thinking about "Cabinets To Go".
Ok so just plug any under cabinet lighting into any outlet?
Super legit brotha!!!
I noticed that you put brackets on the bottom of the wall cabinets may I ask why
I know this is off topic, but where did you get the backsplash tiles? Gorgeous
ProSource. Glazzio Tile item # PCA-629, Picassa Series, color Paloma Taupe

That's a great idea for the wire!
I've been looking for something like this, but where do you buy these??
What would I look for as a fair price to do this install?
Fair price for this install?
I am going to assume there is low voltage transformer somewhere in this install.
Are the lights connected to 120v source or a low voltage transformer?
These connect to 120V
@@StudPack thanks! I'm renovating my kitchen and I have all low voltage upper and lower lights currently. I'm looking for an LED plug and play conversion
👍👍
Where can i purchase these LED's?
Where is that ? In the US or Canada ? I have just asked our builder to give us an outlet in the cabinet but they said it’s against the building cose
US 👍
We install outlets in cabinets, pantrys, and drawers every day. Only code is they have to be gfi or gfci protected.
What drill brand name are you using.
But how are they all controlled by the one dimmable switch?
They’re all connected together in a junction box in the attic
Do u have a link to where I can purchase these lights?
Unless i missed it how did you get the wire to the other side of the window to the cabinet
Nice catch Jah Mar. The wiring from each of the three sets of cabinets went directly up into the attic where they were all connected to the switch leg. I didn't go from one cabinet to the other.
No link to lights?
Hey guys, can you tell me the brand and model of the range hood? Thanks!
Email us and I’ll try to get it
Studpack225@gmail.com
just curious if anyone has info on the range hood.....
How did you wire them to the same switch?
They all connect in a junction box in the attic 👊
Wow. Paul was thin back then 😂❤
I would’ve just cut A square on the lip to make it fit flush

@@StudPack thank you or relpying on an older posting.
How many hours did it take?
We did these on a Saturday evening Paul. 2-3 hours probably👍
Are these 120v and what brand are they ???
Elite LED Lighting, yes 120V
What brand are these? Where can I purchase them?
These are from Elite LED Lighting, you should be able to buy them from any box store!
@@StudPack ok they have all kind of model of elite lighting what model did you use lovbe to get some
Pls include link to those lights
Why not finish backsplash up to cabinet looks unfinished
So what do you do when you’ve got a 2 story house and can’t run wires through the attic 😂
So what does it cost for a electrician to install these?
Don't like to get into costs (varies all over the country) but figure $100/hour for electricians.
Low voltage is better and looks nicer
What brand and where to buy
These are "Elite LED Lightning" Lights and you can buy them from any big box store or even online!

This is a travesty of such nice cabinets. Hire proper builders.
