To me it was more the situation Russo was living in, not the looks. You see all the soldiers having Problems getting back into life mentally and financially and then there‘s Russo with a company and his relationship with Madani. It doesn’t make sense he could have done all that himself unless he was able to live with everything they did, which he is because he‘s kind of evil.

Wow nice insight, I hadn't even caught that.
Although I knew about the comicversion of Jigsaw, the way they interlaced the scenes of 'Uncle Bill' and the fact he was responsible for the death of 'em was just an amazing way to have him feel really evil without having him do crazy sadistic shit.

This! The ptsd and struggles are such big part of the season. And then in walks Billy with all success and zero problems.

His normalcy and how he "relates" to the other people seems legit but not deep at all. He definitely gives the psychopath vibes.

I knew nothing about The Punisher, but I watched it because my son bugged me for years to watch it! Glad I finally did because I loved it! As soon as I saw how good looking and successful Russo was, I immediately thought he was a bad guy! I was spot on! 😂😂😂

Oh boy as soon as I saw the thumbnail i was instantly like recoiling NO I DONT WANT IT. Because I know already. Lol my reaction when I first saw THAT scene was the same as Frank's. Just like ??!!? WAIT WHAT
Jon acted the fuck out of that scene. Little fun fact. When that scene was being set up, he had told the stunt coordinator or director I forgot who, to make his wrist straps tighter and tighter to really get into the scene and mind set. Hes a beast.

Even without the comic book knowledge about his character I automatically don't trust any character Ben Barnes plays because he's way, way too good at that subtle sinister vibe lurking just under the surface. :D

The whole mental fatigue, ptsd, depression aspect was done well in the show imo. Rare subject, often done wrong and easy to get wrong. But I think it added alot to the story and really adds depth to the characters by showing how they all cope with things. Similar issues but so many ways to live and deal with it.

By the way - I don't know if this has been mentioned - but the title The Judas Goat, refers to how slaughterhouses would keep a live goat at the property and use it when they had nervous cattle arrive. The cattle would see the relaxed goat being led into a building and feel more confident about entering a completely alien environment.

Love your videos man. Just want to throw something out at you. Not sure if you were ever into comic books but it's neat hearing you talk about a lot of the shots you like most from a film maker perspective and when I was watching what I saw was them using the camera to mimic comic book panels. A lot of those like over head shots of the close ups of the white eye are to me a straight tip of the hat to the artists from the comic books and how they framed panels.

Yo James loving your run on this show and trust me it keeps getting better, seeing you highlighted some of the things about mental issues being portrayed, i recalled you being into gaming as well.
maybe you're already familiar with the game but if you are not.
*Hellblade:Senua's Sacrifice* is one of the most impressive creations i have yet seen as far as portraying mental illness through a lens we can understand directly as a viewer. i would love to see you do a review or lets play on that game seeing having an eye for cinematography can these days be applied to Game's as it can be to series or movies.

great acting by Jigsaw. He has his hands (amongst other parts) in just about all sides. The telling a is little like Snowfall on FX. The main character who is basically distributing crack into the city is backed by a cia operative who is an undercover drug dealer. So morale and true intentions parallel with both parties.
