After living in 6 cities in the UK because of work reasons my favourite is Bristol. Torquay is lovely but you need to be able to deal with the hordes of selfish and entitled tourists for 6 months of the year. Horrible
Thanks for your insight! I've always been curious about what it's like to live in different UK cities. Bristol sounds wonderful. I can see how dealing with tourists in Torquay could be frustrating. It's great to hear your perspective on both places!
@@geoinsider as far as cities go, Bristol is definitely my favourite. It's big enough to offer city life and all the convenience that goes with that - education, culture, university, theatre, etc but small enough not to have big city problems. Great climate and beautiful areas within a quick drive into the country.
@@michaelflinn7784 @michaelflinn7784, Bristol really does sound like it has the best of both worlds The proximity to beautiful countryside is definitely a bonus too ❤️
“Famous for the historic battle of Hastings”? Nope. Try Battle instead and ask yourself why William the conqueror built an Abbey there? Hastings has struggled for decades with deprivation and some recent regeneration gives hope for the future. It must be one of the cheapest places to live in the south east.
Torquay? You must be joking. Its not a city anyway, so please check your facts. Plymouth should be up there - but transport links are poor, other than that - good.
You have to try really hard to put St Albans as the worst place in the UK. Maybe the video creator had a bad experience with a rogue seagull or something?
@@Tismeok The ranking is based on various data points, but I totally get that everyone has their own preferences. There's no 'one size fits all' when it comes to the best place to live
@@MOLYN867 Looking through the lens of data, research, and personal preferences! Each place has its own charm depending on what you're looking for. What’s your take on the best places in the UK?
Sheffield is no4 in UK? Hahahahhahahahahhahahahah😂😂😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 The complete opposite of safe, and next to zero employment unless you like min nat wage jobs and zero hours contracts.
I'm sorry to hear about your experiences, but it's important to recognize that individual experiences can differ. Data suggests otherwise, showing positive aspects of Sheffield. Thanks for sharing your perspective though!
Last year I traveled around the UK and my favorite was Inverness, Scotland. I also loved Belfast which I was pleased to see on the list.
Hi @paulyfortissimo! Thanks for sharing your travel experiences.
Inverness is truly a gem, and it's great to hear you enjoyed Belfast too ❤️
Yes, if you can afford Henley-on-Thames, which is a celebrity haven. Well, we can all dream
Do you really recommend for a family of 4
very nice

Hi from Hastings! It is indeed a fantastic place. Shame you didn't include any street-level views.

Just seen a recent video, stating St Albans as the worst place in England to live

@@geoinsider you should look at ONS crime stats, you will see Sheffield is not a safe city
Edin"bra", not Edin"burg" please!
Thank you for pointing that out! It's important to pronounce it correctly. Edin"bra" it is!
GET TO BLACKPOOL NOT BELFAST THANKS 🙏👍
Thanks for the suggestion! What do you love about Blackpool that makes it stand out over Belfast?
