    Low cost of living and low income. The best cities you will find in the countries up north in Europe where you find hig prices but also high salary in you should work for a living. If you go in holiday in low budget og have retired the story is different. Oslo, Helsinki, Stockholm and Copenhagen are the best without a doubt if you work for a living. All cities you will get a salary that will give you the possibility to travel the world. Yoy also get 5 week of paid vaication to go to all the beautiful cities in Europe og the rest of the world. If you work in a grocery store in most of the cities you mention your stuck in that city with the low salary.

    Bro I’m from Porto and let me tell you, it is definitely not a low cost city. Depending on the house or apartment (normally a simple t1 without paint in the fucking walls) it usually costs 500 for a citizen, 1000 for migrants or 4000 for citizens and tourists. Also be careful with what you say in the streets, Porto is becoming the most violent city in Portugal.

    It's sad. I am coming of age, and pursuing a higher than average paying job with the sole objective of traveling to as many citties as possible in the next few years, just to hear everywere that I shouldn't be doing that. I'm sorry I wasn't around in the 70's to travel the world when there weren't as many people around, but I'm not american, I'm South american, and travels are luxury. No one here is going out and about thanks to cheap flights or currency. I'm not planning anything just for social media, or JUST because these destinations are famous, but out of genuine curiosity and interest for their many attractives. So yeah, I feel very sad that at every corner I turn, I hear people saying that my dream shouldn't come to fruition because of issues that are completely out of my hands.

    I have a feeling this video is aimed at Americans and most cities would indeed be unknown to them. Polish cities Gdansk and Wroclaw (pronounced sth like V-rrrro-ts-wa-v or vrot·swaaf) are flooded with tourists. Sth off the beaten path would be Lodz (sorry, another pronunciation nightmare, but worth visiting). It has a bit of a bad reputation so not very touristy but has recently undergone regeneration, on the longest shopping street in Europe where you can admire 19th century architecture, visit film museum (famous film school) etc. Germany has many cities worth visiting (if you want picturesque consider Freiburg near Swiss/French border, on the other side of the country Goerlitz is a true hidden gem), as it's not generally considered a top tourist destination, these places are not as overrun as in France or Italy. Speaking of which: I have recently visited a city of Bourges, and its famous medieval cathedral - it was really quiet and reasonably priced too (3 course meal under 20 euros, sth like 15 euros don't remember exactly - it included a glass of wine ;) Rouen is well worth visiting too, medieval centre, also nice surroundings. Apart for those mistakes I think Airbnb is a real cancer for locals as are franchises like McDonalds, KFC, Starbucks, Hop on Hop off Red Buses and boats designed to make every city like Disney to attracts mostly ignorant americans with pockets full of money...

    Why Sibenik? What can you do there more then few hours as city is super small. Better that you suggest Zadar or Split then

    • @geoinsider
      @geoinsider 7 днів тому

      @romeolajh1602 In my opinion Sibenik is a hidden gem with plenty to offer. In the city, you can visit the Sibenik Town Hall, the Cathedral of St. James, numerous historic churches, the City Museum, the Old Town, and St. Michael's Fortress. It's also a fantastic base for outdoor activities, with nearby attractions like Krka National Park, Banj Beach, Kornati National Park, and Čikola Canyon (and you can even take Game of Thrones tour if you fancy it). It's also an awesome place for day trips, for example, Primosten or Etnoland. Sibenik is definitely worth more than a few hours of your time! But you can disagree with me :)
