This is the video we NEEDED. It starts a lot of interesting conversations that NEED to be had. Hopefully mfs are paying attention. There’s no way only 10 players in the world should be able to get “legend” then have to continue to play to maintain Top 10. With all of the bugs and nerfs to jump shots and builds free to play makes sense. People spend hundreds on builds for specific things that get nerfed constantly. It’s time that something changes.

For starters the whole giving out VC to “random” people like see you on the court was suspect. That off top put the majority of people below them. It makes no sense that someone spends over 2000 hours on this game and is no where near top 10 let alone veteran.
Why hide animations behind starter 3 then say you don’t meet the threshold but enjoy this reward anyway???
I enjoy certain things and hate certain things which is why the game should be free with the option to buy seasons.
Base game $70
Season passes $90-$180
Luckily I don’t buy anything

With purchase of the game, the 1st build should be free, 🚫 VC involved, all the way up to a 99 overall! While still earning VC, for future builds, accessories, or game modes, so that $💰$, doesn't alienate those who can't afford it.
2k doesn’t have competition. Not happening when they put it on gamepass eventually

Yes this is the truth it most likely will never be the case. Maybe cause the single player (my career) is tied to the multiplayer. If they had mp free then you'd have to buy the game to grind the player? Otherwise I feel like you'd be stuck with the "templates" so no technically could never be "free to play"
It'll never be f2p as long as guys like myself exist. The last 2k I bought was 22. In the single player type. Only MyCareer or MyLeague. They'll probably never get a dime out of me.

It should also go away from the VC dependent progression system and go to a skill points based system. VC should strictly be VC and be spent on other items. Like skill boosts, Gatorade, and Cosmetics. While builds are strictly only able to be progressed by playing with that build. (No pay to progress) This is the way 2K needs to go if it wants to survive long term. As for the rest of the game. They should focus on changing the build system and the way AI are programmed.
Animations- They need to add different animations back into the game. Street ball animations need to make a return. If you play a lot of park you should get rewarded with park animations. If you play a lot more organized ball (NBA, Rec, Pro-am) you get rewarded with more professional or “Elite dribble styles”
AI- Ai programming isn’t programmed to mimic IRL players or NBA players anymore. Just play against the AI in my league or play now and you’ll see what I mean. But for those who don’t want to. You’ll find multiple instances where the AI is severely lacking in actually running plays. They stand still until the shot clock runs out. They stand still waiting time. You beat an NBA player who is defending you then they suddenly get a speed boost to block or contest your shot. They get sped up to contest your shot when you know for a fact they don’t run that fast. Any and all aspects of AI in this supposed “Next gen” 2k game feels severely undercooked and lacking for a company that’s making millions of dollars.
Wrap up- If they wish for 2K to stay a good game quit the money hungry tactics, change the way the AI is programmed, Add the street ball animations back and rewards for playing those game modes respectively. But the most important thing in my personal and humble opinion. CHANGE THE WAY PROGRESSION WORKS! Paying for builds shouldn’t be ok at all. It needs to be a skill points based system and needs to be reasonable in length. Something like 48-65 hours of play time to max out a build in my opinion is great as it isn’t too fast that people get bored playing the game but isn’t too slow (Like the last 2 years) where you feel burnt out by the time you hit 85 overall.
Even if it was free they still tax you on the vc just to have fun playing a game with randoms that sell you 😂

Everyone is trying to think outside the box but it’s actually pretty simple..
Reward players who grind by giving MORE vc per game, especially MyCareer.. this way, the free2play players have a chance and the pay 2 win players are still happy. The advantage of the pay2win players is that they are able to reach 99 faster, which is fair since they are paying extra, but once everyone is capped at 99 it’s fair game, just make the road to 99 actually achievable for the free2play players in a reasonable time frame. Reward the mycareer grinders especially, facing AI’s all day really take its toll on you😅
Never will happen when you got players with a 30% win percentage and spent $500 on 6 diff players 🤷♂

Should be free to play.
-Shouldn’t cost $100 to upgrade a player to 90 overall.
-Should be more focused on career (like 2k16) in terms of grinding badges.
-Attributes should be explained in detail in terms of their function. Not a brief sentence that doesn’t clarify it’s use.
-Pre-template builds worked well a few years ago imo and I would like to see it return due to the balance it causes within the game.
-Different player build names. Not the same name for a build made 20 different ways.
-Make 2kTV worth watching again
-Better rewards for daily spins. I have all the watches and basketballs at this point. Give us vc or boosts, not worthless accessories.
-MAKE THE COMMUNITY A PRIORITY, not profits.
-Unlimited builds to be made so you don’t have to delete a build to make room for another.
-Ability to test a build out with maxed badges and custom animations before spending the money on it, or allow for vc to be reimbursed when deleting a build (maybe like half of what was spent on the build)
-We have been more than patient with 2k and it’s time to make a game that is fun to play, and doesn’t require hundreds of dollars just to play.
Its not gonna be F2P because you fail to realize 2k isnt just Mycareer online. Lol other game modes exist in 2k. Plus, you technically dont have to spend money after you bought the game. The community just chooses too buy VC.
Idk why people don’t understand this. Yes mycareer online is the most popular game mode, but it’s not the only game mode. There’s plenty of people who play 2K and never play mycareer.

This is my opinion.
- 2k should be free to play (like you said)
- we should have free templates for each positions at 85 or 90 overall and then we have to PLAY to make the build better reaching 99 overall and upgrading badges.
- VC can still be in the game just to make the journey to 99 overall a little easier but just a little bit, so the game doesn’t turn into pay to win.
- There should be a practice facility where we can test the animations/builds before we decide to play with a certain template.
- Season Pass should stay but this time put accessories that can be used in all playing modes not only park and also take myteam items out of park/rec/pro-am season pass.
- Since we are getting free templates at 85-90 overall. Badges should be more effective and the process to upgrade them should also be harder. That way people will play the game more so their build can unleash its maximum potential.
- And last but not least. Good rewards for those who spent money on the game, but even better rewards for those who play the game a lot and accomplish some type of task or mission.
If feel like this is why games like GTA and Apex are really popular. Because if you play a lot you get a reward, but they also have a pay system for those who can’t play a lot. So at the end everyone is happy.
So what about the other game modes like Myera, online play.

@@cartiaekreacts 🤣🤣. Playing all types of games gives you an idea of what is good or bad. The problem with the current 2k right now is that they are not adapting to the new system/era of video games. Even FIFA (soccer game) noticed that people stopped playing their games because it was turning into pay to win. 2k needs to understand that they can still make their bag at the same time they give us a smooth gameplay experience

You're only thinking of MyPlayer online. 2k won't make it F2P because justifiable the base game (like all sports games) includes a franchise mode, ultimate team mode, a career mode, and regular quick play. 2k will probably make the game free if they only focused on Mycareer, but they definitely won't do that because they will lose out on money from those who play the other modes, but doesn't play Mycareer. 2k can't keep ignoring other modes because those percentage of fans are needed.

Bad idea imo because Me and a lot of players are still willing to pay for the game we just want them to limit micro transactions and make a game that is actually good. 2k17 was great because you could spend 75k Vc or not spend vc at all and grind your player to 90+ in a realistic amount of time

This is all good but I WANT A CUSTOME BUILDER. I like to play with the builder I like the idea of having a lights out shooting center that can do everything I can adjust my game on the fly. That is what’s fun to me. I love to make a build that people don’t expect
That last part with the badges and special groups sounds really cool i love that idea
Bring back road to 99 grind like 2k19. Not everybody can't be a 99. Plus it felt special being a 99 on 19. The 99 logo would flash under you while you are hooping it felt like you put in the work to get there. My opinion.
Imo the only way road to 99 should come back is if we can be a real 99 ovr, not MC 99 ovr, which is actually in the low to mid 80s in every other mode.

If 2k is free to play that would be dope but it would still be pay to play because of the boost & Gatorade packs people would buy.

Starting off a 99 is insane. There would be no grind. 80 is cool but most of what you said is valid. I love what you said about the emblems/affiliations. Great idea and once you get that emblem you unlock better animations. I.E. you do a lot of floater say 1,000 and unlock the “Float God” emblem plus elite floaters animations and if you dont do floaters then you left out… I love it 💯
If it was free to play there would be no need for a new title every year. Just add on like the others. That would be more cost effective in my opinion
They should just bring back 2k17 rep system with park badges back like it was back then. It gave you motivation to keep grinding for something. OG clothes from 2k16 should be back and also give us a fire Proam arena 3v3 to play on. Rec should be like before that you can play with any clothes you want or with mascots. Nba2k should Remastered 2k15 parks or give us different parks each season not just the same one all year long.
If we do the templates everyone will pick the lock build, locks are always broken every year and plus more exposed to zen activity, I see what you’re saying but idk if it’s a good thing. 2k just needs competition like NBA live or something like that, to improve their game
You making good points. Instead of NBA being free I’d rather buy the game and start as an 80 overall and just work my way up from there until 99. Just like how EAFC/FIFA does it. I’m not even bothered about the micro transactions in NBA if you wanna do that then do that but make the starting overall reasonable

In my opinion I feel like the builder is too strict if you make your player in as a NBA player he’s only gonna be a 80 something overall.
I’d also like to see if they’d be willing to give you the option to have your player go beyond their max potential. Maybe through mycareer, might get ppl to play the game mode they spend all their time on
Maybe also change the meta every season so that way the game stays revenant, like the dunk meter this year needed rework yet they never got to it.

I only think that makes sense if they separate the park & my team components. Truthfully my league is very robust & they add interesting features every yr. The greatest series is also something that takes a lot to develop and is another great piece of single player content. Another developer could make those components along with the W & black top and sell it for $59.99. If it's f2p they'll stop developing that aspect. I think you like most are focusing on the part of 2k that's most important to you...the park. I agree with you fully it should be, I just also believe the other components shouldn't be included. Park is truly multiplayer and disgustingly monetized. It should be f2p. Still, you can't ignore my league content creators that make money off that aspect or just ppl that play myleague that still want 2k to invest in it.

I 100 percent agree here’s a few ideas 1 when you load up pick your build second screen you pick your animations third screen you pick badges ( each badge gains progress as you use it like 2k19 for example)(base, bronze, silver, gold, hof, and legendary.) 5 legendary’s in one category to get the a title DRIBBLE GOD, LOCKDOWN, SHARPSHOOTER, SLASHER, and so on. After you get so 3/5 you can unlock Demi god builds to be rewarded with all the time you have put in
I like the idea of having FTP and it's a new season. So instead of 9 seasons, 2k could do quarters? So season 25, 1st quarter (each quarter could last 8-10 weeks). Maybe include an overtime season (after the 4 quarters) where VC and/or things are 2x. The template builds are great.
The ONLY way I play 2K25 is if it is FREE!!!!! I'm done!!! They f'ed us this year with this bullsh^t game!!!
They probably ain't going to free but remember when 2k basketball and football was $20, when they was at war with ea sports. That's when the nfl and nba games stop trying to compete. EA started it by getting exclusive rights to the nfl. Then 2K followed by buying exclusive rights to the nba. That price of the exclusive rights cost alot. Untill nobody has exclusive rights and there is competition for 2k is the only way this could happen
If NBA Live does this with even at least a 5%-15% improvement on gameplay, especially with how 2K has been, I’m jumping ✌🏼😎

Fr tho! We could just download the new rosters and if you want to play MyCareer (campaign mode for other games) you can purchase and download the dlc for it. I would love that. And the few of us that play MyCareer wouldn’t mind paying for that portion of the game.
I think they need to raise the game between the free version and the purchase version. Like COD does: allow the free version to My career minos the offline NBA portion.
And the rest of the game (all other game modes) to be behind a paywall.
The biggest problem with 2k, is that is not one of those games that a new player would want to pick up. There's currently too much money at stake to even try it.

It already cost like 50-100 to be competitive in park and city. Way more in my team. The only reason I played this year is because it was free.
one more thing is needed to make a big difference as well. They need to make 2 teirs for the my career experience, one for players that includes competitive park and rec and one completely only for my career no park or rec so you can build your superstart the way you want with the kind of stats you personallly want to enjoy the game with. You should be able to make a wemby build that can only play career games and still have the my career experience. They can keep the build system for the competitive pay to play style and have a completely different build system for my career only players that has no extra cost attached to it.

The dribbling? you can solve can solve that every season with updates every season give my career a new story every update and after X amount of seasons your build retires and you create a new one putting them in the hof it gives people more chances to try out new builds and you can spend the vc you earned on a new character 2k can still get money from the season passes and vc from new players add a online my career mode so you can play against ur friends teams with them on the roster
