Mayor Hogsett & Chief Bailey on DOJ Study

Earlier today, the United States Department of Justice and the National Policing Institute announced a partnership with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department to conduct an outside review of officer involved shootings from 2023. This in-depth and independent analysis will look to identify any patterns or factors that could provide insight into last year’s uptick in these incidents with the goal of improving safety for both our officers and our community.
