That canyon really is a hidden gem. I've hiked and backpacked there dozens of times. There is actually a bypass route on canyon-right where you can skirt all the pools/falls and get great views of them all the way down. The last pool empties onto a broad white-ish shelf and that water runs off the edge in sort of a curtain-like waterfall. There is an alcove behind the falls that you can stand/sit behind. I've had lunch back there many times. I've even been tempted to camp back there! About 1/2 mile down the canyon is another set of waterfalls that are smaller, but very pretty. That's where the best camping is. It's more easily accessed from a side drainage.
Just east of superior ? Did not know the pinals were that far west of globe. I used to bow hunt coues deer in the pinal mts. south of globe, ( now those are mts.) Beautiful where you were in those canyons with all the water. Its been so long since i have been that way , i cant picture that turn off to the right off route 60. There is not that many paved turn offs that are paved between superior and globe so should be able to find it. Thanks for the hidden gem .
Just wonderful.how we take things for granted.

I didn't think they were that far west either. All the maps I looked at were vague, but the books all said Pinal Mountians. Who knows?
This is in lower devils canyon, not Pinal mountains
And there pools farther up the highway that are easier to get to
