Eraserhead is 100% a dad to class 1a. He wants what is best for them, allows them to grow at important moments, disapproves of them being reckless and protects them physically and emotionally. During the sports festival there is someone heckling Bakugo and Uraraka and despite usually being quiet he tells that person to go home and they are not worthy of being a hero.
And he keeps getting more!! XD He's up to 22 kids now! He can act like a harda** all he wants and spout off about being "rational" but this man was straight up going to fight a certain someone who's ridiculously powerful with nothing but a KNIFE to keep his kids safe! Dadzawa is a tag for a reason. And, he's also Daddy. Very much so. 🥵
I'll say this: unlike most dads on this list, _at least_ Endeavor is trying to better himself. I'm not defending his past actions, I'm just saying you gotta give him credit for actually putting in the effort to be a better person.

He made sure to leave absolutely everything ready for his son to succeed (leaving the 3rd Hokage in charge of his child, making sure his last name was not carried to protect him against his enemies, the most freaking powerful seal for half, not all, of the kyuubi's chakra trusting his son will be able to handle it, and even made sure put 2 freaking safeguards to help him if the seal broke and for whenever he was ready to take control of the kyuubi's Chakra). He also left the legacy of a hero who inspired his son, even if Naruto didn't know it at the time. You probably haven't watched it either, but he was a lot more present in Naruto's life throughout the years than most Anime dads, dead or alive.

Secondly, Naruto's life was miserable and the Hokage and Jiraiya (who Minato left Naruto under) neglected the hell out of him. If Iruka wasn't there, Naruto probably would've became a villain. I never said he was a horrible dad but there's only so much you can do when you're dead. Because of that, he's not a great father imo

Kushina died because she was already weakened from childbirth and getting the fox ripped out of her was a death sentence at that point. She used the last of her strength to use the Uzumaki chains to hold the fox in place while Minato used soul reaper jutsu to seal the fox.
My favourite anime dad is Nagisa's dad from Clannad. I mean that in an "inspiring dad" way rather than a "daddy" way though. His speech about being a parent stuck with me and I respect him a lot for that.
Good anime dad example: Joutarou Aragaki from Taisou Zamurai. Trying his best to restore his failing gymnastic career but also being the best he can be as a single father. He cries over the realization he neglected his daughter due to work, takes her out to ninja theme parks and overall very caring for her well being. 10/10 good dad, very chill and wholesome series.
Saw endeavor on the thumbnail, if u read the manga you’d know he wasn’t really abusive or like beating shoto he just trained him to his limits and sent his mom away when he thought she was crazy and endangering him
The only redeeming part for Endeavor as a father is he is actually making an effort to be a good father and(manga spoiler) He does actually care about his kids because when Touya was getting hurt because he couldn't handle his quirk, Endeavor wanted and tried to make him stop training to be the number one hero. So he does actually care about his kids.
To be fair to Hiashi he was stated to be working overseas to provide for his family which is common in Japan, likely doing so in America and Horikoshi has said he’d put Hiashi in the plot soon (although that was two years ago so Horikoshi has clearly has a diffrent soon than normal people)
He doesn't stand out, but I think Madoka's dad was a decent one. Light's dad in Death Note was quite good, to his detriment. Ichigo's dad, Isshin Kurosaki in Bleach is more mid tier fatherhood wise. Not TECHNICALLY a father but he functions as one to so many of those kids. And I mean...them tentacles tho >.> Sorry, I made it weird. I feel like Joseph Joestar was at a bit of a disadvantage on the daddy looks since we never actually see him at daddy age per se. We go from young Joe straight to grandpa Joe (and then to senile Joe). Maybe if you were shown young Joseph and grandpa Joe and imagined the in between? As far as actual fatherhood quality, C is probably right. He was pretty solid for Jotaro's family, but complete trash for Josuke's family...his side piece family that he literally never saw til he was senile Joe.

I know, right? Vegeta starts out as a complete jerk, but then becomes the dad Goku should have been the entire time. They also don't throw Krillen a bone. The guy might not be killing it in the looks department, but you can tell he cares deeply about his family.

Kakushi Gotou Sensei from Kakushigoto was really great father, in another father focused anime like sweetness and lightning (even if the whole anime leaves you with that impending sense of dread at the end of every episode).

Or Sakura's dad from Card Captor Sakura? They're both very supportive of their children and actually two of the few anime dads that aren't dead from the start or left at a very early age. Mamoru also has some style at least in Crystal.
