George was a great songwriter & had many hits when he went solo. Some of my favorite Beatles' songs were written by George ("Taxman", "Within You Without You", "While My Guitar Gently Weeps", "Here Comes the Sun" & "Something"). Also love when he was part of the supergroup "The Traveling Wilburys" with Jeff Lynne, Roy Orbison, Bob Dylan & Tom Petty. Very talented man who left us too soon. At least we have the legacy of his music.
I read recently that when George Harrison passed, he had his chosen holy man by his side and at his moment of passing, his wife reported the room brightened and he literally glowed.
My Wife ( Girlfriend at the time ) were driving into Yosemite at Sunrise just as Here Comes the Sun came on the radio. Pretty sure George sealed the deal on our marriage. We got married in Yosemite under Lembert Dome.
I remember being 4 yrs old when the Beatles made there first appearance on the Ed Sullivan show. Our parents let us all sit in a group on the floor. We were so excited. I asked my mom if she would get me there album And she did. My parents were very into to all kinds of music. Which was unhurd of in 63. But they were so open to it. Such good memories. Luv u Stan.
An injustice as far as I’m concerned. What the heck is “subconscious plagiarism?” You’re either aware that you’re plagiarizing or not. His intent was to do a song somewhat like the “Oh Happy Day” as sung by the Edwin Hawkins Singers. According to George’s first wife, the lawsuit was unnerving to George and he wouldn’t let the radio be played during that time because he was worried about anything like the “He’s So Fine” debacle happening again. BTW I owned that song back in the day and superficially, there’s a resemblance but I never once connected either song because they are so completely different lyrically.
Lord can mean any God or Prophet, so he wasn't looking to divide. Whatever your religion, the words can still apply.
Every time I hear my sweet lord it is like the first time. It never gets old to me.
My favorite Beatle. So grounded.

And this is why they broke up. They grew up in different ways.
George got sued over. This. Song. They said plagerism of he's so fine from the sixties. And he lost the case 😲
