I don't think she likes it. She prefaced Episode 1 with what she loved about games like Dragon Age and the way she described Anthem getting into it, seemed like she was apprehensive. So my guess is, she doens't like it. She's not a big combat person which is why she doesn't play Warframe or Destiny 2 - which should be a big red flag. Game looks pretty but with not enough content to keep one invested, it'll die off quick. Albeit, it makes sense that she's not going to outright say "I wont be playing this game." Given the fact of how much effort Bioware and EA have gone to get her to go over this game. There's no sense in biting the hand that feeds you.

I do agree with the importance of enough content though; hopefully there’s enough to keep the game’s intended audience satisfied, because if this game dies off, then that won’t be good for BioWare at all, what with EA looming over their shoulders.
I can't wait to try out the demo this weekend. My wife will try out the free for all demo february 1st...and if she likes it, she will preorder it and we both will be playing it. The first game since Final Fantasy XIV that we've played together.

That being said I do hope they add a level of threat to the aquatic environment or perhaps the peaceful setting is nothing more than a facade hiding a layer that is far more treacherous the farther you search.

@@Jammil2477 That is what they said, but to be honest, I expect it to take the average player a lot longer to obtain them via gameplay than the speed of new items becoming available through sales. We'll see of course.
What if no life is under water yet...at least on surface level? Honestly, I find the lack of a presence unnerving because who knows what could be out there, possibly watching you? Guess we'll have to see in time.
Gameplay looks solid. And the DLC approach is awesome. But you should not say there are no microtransactions. There are, they are only cosmetics and can apparantly be earned through in game currency too. However this doesnt feel like a bioware game. Its definitely not what I was hoping for. I'll probably pass on this, or maybe buy it on a 75% sale to try it. My biggest hope is that they don't drop dragon age for this game too. Fingers crossed.
Very much enjoying your videos reminds me of when I was watching your vids getting hyped for dragon age inquisition also you don't like Nugs, I feel compelled to ask why I'm just curious?
I had a gamebreaking bug during my first playthrough of Dragon Age Origins which prevented a 100% run because of a nug quest. Was not able to get it purely because of one quest in Orzammar. I think that's why I refuse to 100% games nowadays as well lol
Ahhh that makes sense I dont try 100% games myself I only go platinum on ps4 mass effect 2 on insanity is probably the hardest trophy I ever worked for and sadly nowadays I can't handle games on their highest difficulties anymore
Depends on what you're looking for. I ran into too many enemies on the surface that I felt a bit annoyed. Lore wise, I saw a bunch of codex entries and it took a while to pick them up. There's a lot of plants randomly around the place to gather ingredients, too. I didn't show much of the random events that one can pick up as I focused on showing as much of the map as possible, but those events pop up pretty frequently I'd say.
I tried the Demo for 5 hours, had to purchase the game to try it out. After fiddling with the game for while I found it to be awfully uninspiring, everything I saw and did reminded me of other games I already played and the bullet sponges were real, spent 30 minutes fighting the same boss. This could be due to lack of single player optimization as I felt I was meant to be in a squad and not fighting that boss alone, could be my fault for not wanting to do the multiplayer part. The combat in ME: Andromeda was far superior in almost every way if it is at all comparable, characters felt bland with no personality and there was a distinct feeling taking me back to DA: Inquisition, lots of pretty stuff with little substance. Got my money back and will await reviews from trusted reviewers, it´s a game I was really looking forward to and a Demo may not be optimal when it comes to judging the final product.
I heard the demo's difficulty and economy won't be anything like the actual game coming out. So I'm not preordering anything and probably not gonna buy at launch either. It's EA, so it's safe to bet against.
Yeah, I think typical Bioware fans are hoping there will be NPCs out in the open world to interact with and I really don't think there will be. It's not that kind of game. The open world is for shooting and looting.
OK if Bioware doesn't give us the ability to keep a pet like what you just showed at the beginning of the video *I WILL BE UPSET* .... I mean I'll be more upset if they botch the game but in the event it doesnt botch it (pls no jinx) I will be a very upset and emotional Colossus
I can totally understand where are you coming from but just don't keep any hope with this game FROM the perspective you want this game to have 'DEPTH'.
i'm still not seeing a game here. i'm seeing a "live service". creatures and codex entries are nice, but no npcs out in the world? no party members? just me and endless zones with loot and monsters? they're giving you a virtual playground (like any MMO already is) to mess around in, nothing more. just play warframe, at least that's ftp. and of course, through cosmetic microtransactions, they've already built in the incentive for virtual dick measuring via "who's got the coolest new skin". EA doesn't just want 60+ bucks at launch, they want MORE (oh, and don't you also have to be like a PS+ member etc. to be able to even play that game, on console at least? because it doesn't even have a single player that's tacked on, much less an actual story? yeah, no thanks).
maybe do your research and you will know there's an actual campaign, free to play doesn't mean the game is better lol, in fact it took warframe 5 years to become good and in the state you're trying to defend, if i remember correctly warframe was complete dogshit until then so fuck off outta here with your "go play warframe because it's free to play bs" why would we go to a game that has a pure shit toxic community? the fact that you're comparing warframe of all games to another game that isnt even out yet makes you a complete tool.
@@Keigg dude I don't play warframe. I don't like that sort of game. I still feel that ftp games are a better bargain because why pay 60+ bucks PLUS an online club membership for a product I essentially don't even own because it's a "live service" and not a stand alone, finished game. At least with usual dlc I can just not buy the dlc and still play the game the way I like. And offline, too, I might add. Also, I haven't heard anything about a legit campaign. These videos sure haven't been mentioning one a whole lot. And I wouldn't really call destiny style "storytelling" a campaign. It will probably be your AI-buddy telling you to go to X and kill Y to get item Z - but without even an npc face to put to the whole thing. It will probably be about grinding cosmetics (and later for pvp because let's face it, they're going to do pvp at some point in some manner or other). You be hyped if you wanna be hyped but this whole project is just EA holding da4 hostage and fucking up mass effect and I'll probably be bitter about that for the foreseeable future. (Also, if anthem does well, I shudder to think what they're gonna do to da4 - probably an always online multiplayer shooter because lol thedas has guns now somehow. Am I bitter? You bet I am.)
@@erylaria398 isn't that every campaign? go to point a do this go to point b do that, every game has a similar system lol. there is npc's at the fort tartis that push you further through the game. if it has an ending and a final boss it's a story. keep being bitter because of bioware wanting to do a new game that isn't dragon age nor mass effect. there's also an actual trailer for the fucking story you're just too damn lazy to do any sort of research.
@@Keigg People are comparing Anthem to Warframe because WF is the closest comparison to be made that has an active community as we speak. Thus we can get an idea of what Anthem delivers and what deliveries might be new to that type of gameplay genre. You would understand this if you considered yourself a logistical gamer, but with your act of jumping to insults shows you're just being a fan and not thinking objectively. All in all, to each their own. But Anthem just seems boring. It'll be fun for a day or two, running around farming mobs to level up and improve your power levels but just like Destiny 2, I'm expecting it to quickly die off. Bioware is doing something different here but it likely wont pay off as much as they would like.
I'm sorry, but I can't help but be bitter about this game. Everything in Anthem looks just like Mass effect Andromeda, from the environment, to the enemies, and game play. If EA didn't take all the talent from Andromeda and put them on this game, just so they can compete with Destiny, and The Division. Andromeda would have been so good! I wont be playing, but can't wait until Dragon Age 4! Lets cross our fingers that EA doesn't throw Bioware in the trash if this game fails.
To bad EA didn't do that the main bioware team been working on this game since mass effect 3 came out, and way before andromeda even started. EA didn't make or force bioware to make this game, bioware wanted to do something different and so they have every right to make a different game that isn't always the same game they make every time.
as someone who has just started to get into Warframe... I don't really see the need to get anthem any more. I've still got so much left to do in Warframe and theres a whole year of content already Laid out/ teased for it. Anthem seems like paying for something I've pretty much already got for free.
EA GAME CHANGERS are 'payed video solicitation'. (edit : my opinion) 1 : Fully monetized videos (edit : You state you make NO additional revenue from EA, ok... but being part of Game Changers = NO chance of DMCA strikes) 2: (edited) EA paid for a trip to Sweden for you, (Flight +Hotel +Dining) (edited : removed info other bonus perks/payments that EA gice Game Changers in the past. This channel owner states that none of these were applied. ok.) *As a BioWare fan myself, its anti gamer/player when they abandon a NEW release, add p2w, and cancel multiple EXCLUSIVE IP 'just because' EA says so.* Good luck with Anthem. (edited this post to more clear with less innuendo after a reply from the channel owner) (edit2 : youTube is not saving some changes. NO clue why. I'm giving up, hope this one worked)
Diarmuhnd, I literally put everything in the description. Please don't add false claims here. This video is only monetized through *Google Adsense*. There's *NO* additional kickback from EA. $300 in music? They're not an MCN. Never in my experience have other devs like Ubisoft or even CDPR offered influencers something like that. While I wasn't part of the GC program in 2017, I was invited to their events and they only covered food and travel if you lived far. They HAVE to because all the content they show is NDA'd. While we're there, they have us recorded and watched like hawks. We aren't paid to go to these events. Considering some of us take off work to go to these events (not everyone's a full-time content creator), or skip out on streaming/upload schedules for a few days, it ends up being a net loss monetarily. I don't mind whatever you may feel about EA or BW, but at least have the right info before you make these claims. (Edit: a word)
I'm NOT adding 1 single false claim. I'm sorry if you feel that i did. I was avoiding making a 'wall of text'. I simply pointed out what you did say in your description; as well as basic information regarding the rewards offered by being part of EA's Game Changer Program. If they offered you nothing more than the paid trip to Swede then thats what it was 'for you'. (edit, i tried to edit my first post to be more clear) Regardless. Good luck. For fans like you i hope Anthem does NOT disapoint. But for a Bio-Ware fan like me, they've ripped me off 1 too many times. And EA has done that more than twice now.
fumy how some people have already finish the campaign and all they have to say is after this all there is to do is farm on hardest difficulty alot of sponge enemy just to get the best loot over and over for god sake the game not even out and we already know how it going to be a week after it release
Seems like they wanted to make underwater a big part of the game, developed a big part of it, but then realized they don't have the time/money to do the rest and just left it in as a pretty setpiece.
they will probably implement it later down the line and could end up making underwater strongholds and raids which would be awesome if they get around to making underwater combat
I think actual gameplay looks rather fun, but what I saw of the dialogue going on in Tarsis I was really quite taken back. The animations I saw was REALLY unnatural, the characters moving really weirdly when they're talking. It made me take 10 steps back. I'm not so interested in picking this up anymore tbh :(
I'd at least check the demo and see if that's still consistent. Fort Tarsis has gone through a lot of overhauls since they showed off at PAX West. Edit: And the demos are free so EZ heh
Killing Enemies, saving those stuck out in the land, discover objects and crafting materials for gear/weapons, help build up fort tarsis so it becomes more populated ( remember they said it will grow and new areas will open up )
Pretty much. Couple of events to give you a sense of objectives for you and two or three other players (did they say Co-Op is 3 or four total?). But all of the character building and story that helps you engage in the world of Anthem will be sectioned off in a peaceful hub where you will meet players. Poor move IMHO.
Thats because the final product has not been released.. Alot of what we are seeing is sandboxed/closed off areas/very little life..... The demos on jan 25th and feb 1st will also be very limited so we are just test fielding the game to learn gameplay and to stress test the servers.... They said "No Tutorial" and you are thrown into the middle of the game with 1 story mission and free play.... All the rest is locked away... Different terrain mapped areas, etc... The true launch is feb 15th for early access people and feb 22nd for the rest of us...
@@theflamingpotato9651 It's pretty much Warframe meets Destiny 2, lets be honest here. Run a van dam diagram, compare and contrast and you'll see the similarities. We wont know the full list until its launch but the similarities are near uncanny.

@@Jammil2477 That is what they said, but to be honest, I expect it to take the average player a lot longer to obtain them via gameplay than the speed of new items becoming available through sales. We'll see of course.
Nugs? Oh, that makes sense. I thought you said you hated nuns.
Seems like a pretty linear world and no shaper storms? Wow.
What if no life is under water yet...at least on surface level? Honestly, I find the lack of a presence unnerving because who knows what could be out there, possibly watching you? Guess we'll have to see in time.
Well they do have life, but it's non-interactive...fish, mantas and the like.
Off topic but isn’t Ashe just the best? She deserves hugs
baww
absolutely :) She has my hug lol
Gameplay looks solid. And the DLC approach is awesome. But you should not say there are no microtransactions. There are, they are only cosmetics and can apparantly be earned through in game currency too.
However this doesnt feel like a bioware game. Its definitely not what I was hoping for. I'll probably pass on this, or maybe buy it on a 75% sale to try it.
My biggest hope is that they don't drop dragon age for this game too. Fingers crossed.
LIKE !!! I Subscribed !! :'3

And don't forget to join the Bioware Outpost Discord server. 😁
Wow your voice is just beautiful . Please sing to me 😍
It looks a lot like Andromeda game play wise, very hyped for this game
Hit like if you're a colossus main
Some say the world in freerun is empty. How much true is in those words?
Thats what i am afraid off, that the open world will be as dull and uninteractive as in destiny 2
I heard the demo's difficulty and economy won't be anything like the actual game coming out. So I'm not preordering anything and probably not gonna buy at launch either. It's EA, so it's safe to bet against.
My #1 question. Is it a huge empty world?
I wonder if all the footage captured was on pc?
That’s funny. Still curious though if she was playing on pc or console
Yeah, I think typical Bioware fans are hoping there will be NPCs out in the open world to interact with and I really don't think there will be. It's not that kind of game. The open world is for shooting and looting.
I'm not going to watch this so i can play it myself and find out how shit its myself.
Was this a solo gameplay??
OK if Bioware doesn't give us the ability to keep a pet like what you just showed at the beginning of the video *I WILL BE UPSET*
.... I mean I'll be more upset if they botch the game but in the event it doesnt botch it (pls no jinx) I will be a very upset and emotional Colossus
SAME T^T
That backflip the interceptor does to fly will be the sole reason I NEVER enable that javelin... So annoying!
Good one Lady
@@Keigg There's a campaign in 76 too......
62jmc89 Lmao that’s not true at all.
as someone who has just started to get into Warframe... I don't really see the need to get anthem any more. I've still got so much left to do in Warframe and theres a whole year of content already Laid out/ teased for it. Anthem seems like paying for something I've pretty much already got for free.
Enjoy warframe , DE is an amazing company and its a very good game , but having played both I can say that they have very few similarities
EA GAME CHANGERS are 'payed video solicitation'. (edit : my opinion)
1 : Fully monetized videos (edit : You state you make NO additional revenue from EA, ok... but being part of Game Changers = NO chance of DMCA strikes)
2: (edited) EA paid for a trip to Sweden for you, (Flight +Hotel +Dining) (edited : removed info other bonus perks/payments that EA gice Game Changers in the past. This channel owner states that none of these were applied. ok.)
*As a BioWare fan myself, its anti gamer/player when they abandon a NEW release, add p2w, and cancel multiple EXCLUSIVE IP 'just because' EA says so.*
Good luck with Anthem.
(edit, i tried to edit my first post to be more clear)
Regardless.
I’d love to play with you.
@@Ladyinsanity Yeah that's very true, I will do that much :)
The combat in anthem looks almost exactly like the stuff from Andromeda. Seems pretty clear that the game is going to be a half baked rushed flop.
Caa129 Combat in Andromeda was the least of its problems imo, so it can only be a good thing that they’re iterating on it here
Anthem is in development for 6+ years, dooooubt its rushed.
I liked the combat in Andromeda too but the combat in Anthem looks almost EXACTLY like the combat in Andromeda, it just seems lazy.
@@Caa129 if something andromeda was lazy, this game is being developed for much longer.
rushed? they have been working on this game for more then 5 years plus they were working on this before ME: A
So you just running around killing things? Boring.
Pretty much every game right now like what
that's mass effect and dragon age.
As compared to what?
Killing Enemies, saving those stuck out in the land, discover objects and crafting materials for gear/weapons, help build up fort tarsis so it becomes more populated ( remember they said it will grow and new areas will open up )
Pretty much. Couple of events to give you a sense of objectives for you and two or three other players (did they say Co-Op is 3 or four total?). But all of the character building and story that helps you engage in the world of Anthem will be sectioned off in a peaceful hub where you will meet players. Poor move IMHO.
The first creature is the dumbest looking thing ive seen in a game. It has a beak and moth ears it looks terrible.
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
DISLIKE FOR THIS 3:09
Is it just me or does this game look graphically underwhelming and samey
Thats because the final product has not been released.. Alot of what we are seeing is sandboxed/closed off areas/very little life..... The demos on jan 25th and feb 1st will also be very limited so we are just test fielding the game to learn gameplay and to stress test the servers.... They said "No Tutorial" and you are thrown into the middle of the game with 1 story mission and free play.... All the rest is locked away... Different terrain mapped areas, etc... The true launch is feb 15th for early access people and feb 22nd for the rest of us...
It’s just you.
Graphically it looks great. Aesthetically, your Javelin is nimble and its actions are fluid for the smaller specs. The game just seems boring.
@@FatalFist I figured out what was bothering me about the visuals, it's this video
Or you can play warframe
okay?
or you can play this game that’s not warframe
@@omensoffate You'll be saying the same about Anthem in a month or so after launch. XD
@@theflamingpotato9651 It's pretty much Warframe meets Destiny 2, lets be honest here. Run a van dam diagram, compare and contrast and you'll see the similarities. We wont know the full list until its launch but the similarities are near uncanny.
