What do you think? Is there a circus in my future?? 😅 I loved collaborating with Aura for this video! Check it out at my link:

Watching from Kashmir
Maintenance personnel. There are never enough riggers or maintenance people for anything, trust me. These are the people I go to school with. Your epoxy skills would be a godsend for fixing high-strength props and structures.
I think your recent change to personal lifestyle choices was solid. Can't remember the last time we saw you this happy, engaged and just living life.
Unfortunately, even in a circus you need to pay all these bills.
It is not as glamorous as it seems. Engineering, flying planes, building and launching rockets is far more fun!
Nice to see Xyla talking about her adult problems and then going to relax herself, the vibe is on point
bro ur on every vid lol. cant say u have bad taste tho
@@Sandux930 lol same. just came from an OperatorDrewski video where @Heisenberg had top comment
xyla gives me so much joy i cant even express
As someone who left a career in nursing 6 years ago to become a fire & circus performer, I FULLY back this choice 110% LMAO
Glad your feeling better and have fun flowing!!
I for one commend your transition from nurse to patient
Now you've got job security!
Being an adult is way overrated. I'm 62, and sometimes need to slap myself (mentally) to remind me that the kid is still in there and wants to be let out.
Stop hitting yourself & let him out. I'm 70 next week.
You and Simone have this superpower of turning any random theme into something smart and entertaining.
xyla gives me so much joy i cant even express
@@pvic6959 true superpower!
And Laura Kampf
Gosh that was damn impressive.
And it has to be admitted that 'adding fire to things that are not normally supposed to be on fire' really *does* cover a large portion of your skillset.
Lets just take a moment here to acknowledge that the opening of this, is just Xyla goofing around on the beach, enjoying life to the fullest.
Makes me glad to see her have fun!
Also, those are certainly more marketable skills than my puny juggling skills.
I love videos that take goofing off to the next level.
okay who would TOTALLY love to see a Xyla + Thea Ulrich circus?
Actually... if one could collect together the various nomadic Van Life channels, I bet one could hob cobble together a functional circus
I found your channel because of Tom Scott's "Lateral". I need to make sure to send him a thank you.
As an old carpenter who's had the joy of teaching a lot of young women (usually high school and college students involved in theatre) that, yes, they can *absolutely* master the power tools and build things "just like the boys", it's so wonderful to see you being an inspiration to young women (and men). (Okay... that was a long sentence. 😛)
My father first gave me a pile of cut-offs, a hammer, and a coffee can full of random nails about 50 years ago. I started getting serious about carpentry about 40 years ago. Every time I watch one of your videos, I learn something new, and am stunned by your skills.
Thank you.
To see your video about your recent struggles, and then to see your face light up at the end of the video is priceless. Funny how lifes timing is spot on, since today the coroner returned my daughters earrings, and my day went from dark to light thanks to you. Rock On Xyla !
sorry for your loss friend ❤
Been there. Take some time for yourself first. This is the best way to stay strong for you and your loved ones.
Be indulgent. Get some stuff done if you feel so. Spot the signs of depression so you don't mix it with sadness
@@KaitlinGaspar thank you
Good to see you smiling.
Normal UA-camrs: Don't try this at home!
Xyla: Make sure you pad the handles!
You quickly put a big smile on my face straight away, and it's good to see you smiling in such a relaxed and genuine way, too.
Phenomenal result, too! Do you have an infinite repertoire of hidden talents?
xyla gives me so much joy i cant even express
@@pvic6959 okay but do you really need to spam the same comment over and over?
@@conorstewart2214 my joy can not be contained!!!
(but did I? i remember trying to comment but it looked like it wasnt going through lol. guess it did)
@@pvic6959 you did it in multiple comment threads, that isn’t it just not going through, that is you actively commenting it multiple times.
This is strangely hypnotic. The fire helps. It's a mix between art and pyromania. Loved it, and will probably watch it again.
As a fellow pilot and fire performer, this is amazing! Happy to see you take the plunge into the fire arts. Hope the balance on your new prop was great!
There are dozens of us!
why did the mentions of pilot and balance make me start thinking about wing-walking as a career option? Guessing it'd be easier to get bookings as a fire performer though.
The beach scenes were stunning. Your talents never cease to amaze me. Simply beautiful.
It is so wonderful to once again see that enthusiasm and downright over-the-top silliness you exhibit when you do a build. My wife and I were both feeling your pain and frustration, Xyla. As wretched as those moments are, it’s a tremendous victory when you don’t give up and pull through. If anything, you are much stronger. Always surround yourself with friends and family. You are never alone. Thanks for taking this admiring fan along on your journey.
I love any type of "fire juggling". The sound of the fire as you move it around is so mesmerizing.
The fire spinning community will be glad to have you! And if Cirque doesn't work out, you could easily go into prop making. You've already figured out most of the tricks of working with kevlar wick. If you wanna get really fancy, you can fold over the last wrap of wick and hide the fastener so there is no metal exposed (hard to explain in text, you'll figure it out).
I joined the circus for a bit… had to pay bills, and tax and rent for a place that got wet in the rain… loved it!
Your fire sticks are very nice, fire is magic and people who can juggle it (not me…) are simply cool!
This is gonna sound really dramatic. I've been struggling with ME/CFS I think, undiagnosed, and got COVID a few weeks ago for the first time. I am a few days into finally treating it, and you made me smile for the firs time in a dark couple of weeks. The "thwarted belonging" part of the condition was kicking in full effect, I was at my lowest ever. Anyhow, the reason I smiled was because you're figuring out to make yourself happy at a young age, and that makes me so happy for you. Keep doing you Xyla!
If you are undiagnosed then you really should go to a doctor and get the diagnoses confirmed, you might get more support or potentially treatment if you are actually diagnosed. Also most disability claims require a diagnoses.
Also what if it isn’t that but something else? It is important to get it actually checked out and diagnosed.
So glad you are back and seem to be doing much better!
That beach scene was absolutely mesmerizing! Great job on building the devil sticks and even better job performing with them at the end! Also shout out to the video editor who did a great job on that montage at the end and all the scene transitions juxtaposing the original devil sticks scenes and the fire devil sticks scenes. Beautiful work!
Best intro ever haha 😄 Turned my day around. Glad to see you doing better Xyla!
I feel like Devil Sticks is the most absurd name ever, like someone saw someone doing it and said, "OH no! what is that magic, take them devil sticks away from me!"
After a rough day at the office - anxiety and hard work making that commute home seem like *a chariot ride through Hades itself,*
And then,
This.
Bless you, Xyla. That was the chill that I needed.
That was awesome, Xyla!
Wow! What an incredible performance there at the end. Gobsmacked to say the least. Well done!
So delightful seeing you creating and having buckets of fun doing it!
This was such a fun video🤩😍 I loved how your face lit up with joy while you were totally immersed in doin' it✨
Literally every part of this was so much more impressive than I thought it would be. That was incredible!
So glad you are back
Yay!
Great to see a video again!
Mind blown once again. You are amazing, Xyla. Keep being awesome
Fire spinning does in fact improve your chances of getting into circus! But it also hurts your chances of getting good renters insurance. You win some, you loose some.
After the other video (which shall not be named) scaring the crap out of many of us, I think we're all relieved to see you having fun and working through it. I think I speak for us all when I say that I would absolutely love to see more videos like this, of you having fun and being more like your normal self.
Didn't know how much I needed that till it was. Thanks for sharing
After your video a few weeks ago, it's so encouraging to see you doing better! You're a huge inspiration to me as a father to pass that inspiration on to my little girl!
I loved seeing this. I'm having a rough time rn and if Xyla can be depressed and still do cool stuff, I can too.
Great job on the video Xyla! Thanks for making it.
That whole fire-sunset montage was FIRE!! I had just the widest grin on my face the whole time, you look so happy enjoying the work you created and the thing you can do. Go Xyla!
Glad to see you back and having fun.
That first transition from the firesticks to the daytime blew my mind. This was awesome! Aanndd may have reminded me to double check that I filed my taxes.
Yay, she's smiling again :) glad to see you better from your previous headspace. Keep on shining bright, Xyla! Hope the IRS was chill this April
You rocks ! This look amazing. So happy to see you back !
Glad to see you're feeling better and having fun; awesome that you try things that are out of your comfort zone and have fun doing so! Your smile is infectious 😊🤗
Delighted to see you back and having fun. Especially after what you have had to deal with health wise.
You quickly became one of my favorite youtubers; I'm a maker of things myself and Enjoy watching other makers but I can relate because I did stage magic for years (A really really long time ago) and know just how rewarding performing arts can feel when they flow. I look forward to seeing more!
Way to bounce back Xyla! Love the renewed energy!!!
Glad to see you back in full swing. I hope this means you're doing much better now.
It's good to see you're feeling better
The smiles though! Such a great vibe! Screw adulting!
Great to see you back, this video was fantastic. The fire was especially beautiful.
As someone who used to juggle fire while standing on the back of a galloping horse in the circus for a living, I can confirm that building a cedar strip canoe is way harder and way more practical of a skill
The conclusion of this video is so happy and soothing 😊
Wonderfully uplifting. Thank you once again for making the day special!
I'm glad you found your essence to make what you wanted and to show what you are able to do. thanks for sharing.
What fun! Hope you're doing OK Xyla. Good to see you enjoying yourself.
Love your content AND your personal sharing allowed me to care about you as a person, not just as an entertainer.
Fantastic job, Xyla!💜
Well done Xyla. Nice to see you're doing better.
Xyla, you have the most incredible curiosity and willingness to learn! Even tho I’m almost 40… I want to be more like you when I grow up!! 😂
Please never stop your inquisitiveness and never stop smiling! You rock! ❤
You're so freaking cool Xyla! Love it!
Glad to see you back
Hope this means your improving.
Again we see you we hear you.
every video of yours is truly always the highlight of my day
You are a true multipotential! So many skills! This channel is truly a source of inspiration.
You are stunning on the beach 🥰🤩 Your smiling makes me smile. Thanks Xyla💕
This was a fantastic video Xyla! THIS, This is why you should continue making great videos. Each video is a work of art!
That measure once cut twice shirt is brilliant. Great video!
Glad to see you in better spirits
This looks like so much fun! Adding fire just seems to make things better (unless it’s something that shouldn’t be on fire of course). Thanks for sharing such a great video! 💚
Oh Xyla, that was so beautiful!
I'm impressed you survived. ♥
It looked like you had great fun shooting this video. I hope your feeling more yourself and this was as fun as it looked.
Excellent video! Lovely to see you smiling & having so much fun! 🙂
I love this!! Seeing one of my female science role models also enjoying a flow art is sO COOL. You should definitely do more flow! Fire, LED, whatever, you're great at it and you have the spirit!
good to see you with a big smile
as its hard to oversee, i love playing with fire myself. great work!
We love what you do. Whatever that is. You are the focus, the center of Xyla action. Which is right and good.
Hi Xyla, I'm gonna be 67 later this year and I still haven't really figured out how to adult yet. So you go gurl! Do whatever you wanna do! You seriously rock!
Devilsticks and juggling in general can be very meditative, taken me through some rough patches in life. Good to see you enjoing yourself 😄. Glad I saw this, going to patch up my old sticks and go out and play in the springsun 😁
OMG I love this so much. Your having so much fun 😄
It's so good to have you back making fun and interesting content and great to see that beautiful smile of yours again. Keep up the great work, from one of your many fans🌹
I don't live by the beach, but going to the beach once a year for a bonfire and smores, and maybe a night swim is one of my favorite things. Thanks for that memory Xyla! Also, I'm glad to see you're feeling, at least a bit, better. Its not always up and up, and fortunately, it isn't always down and down. Good luck, and my your Up's be more than your downs.
So cool! Such good shots of your stick work and loved the back and forth with the daytime shots against the sun.
Great video, thank you!
You do have mad skills. That edited-up very nicely!
You are so inspiring Xyla! Great to see you looking so well :)
This project was super neat and fun
That was really nice. Thanks 🙏
Yo, this is wildly impressive! Very cool to watch!
Very cool. You never cease to impress.
that kicks ass! how has this not been a thing before?
YEEEEEEAAAAAAAHHHHHH! YOU GO GURL! 💚
Wow Xyla! SO COOL!!!!
That was beautiful xyla
My favorite videos! Keep being crazy (in a good way), we all need that!
It's true, fire makes every project 42% better. This was so fun! Circus bound! Thanks for sharing!
What a great time! Wonderful.
My skill is "Adding fire to things that don't need fire." I think this will always go well in a job interview. I must try it some day.
Great Job!
