Its a blessing to own anything RL. As a girl that grew up and graduated High School mid 80's in Texas, I remember the feeling of that new piece. I felt speacial. You can take the girl out of RL, but you can't take the RL out of a Texas girl.
No one in Portland wears Polo. I walk the streets here most every day. The only Ralph Lauren products you'll see people wear here would be clothing with the Polo bear occasionally, very rarely though. Levis, Columbia, Adidas, Vans, Nike, The North Face, Eddie Bauer, Patagonia, J.Crew, LL Bean, Carharrt, Cotopaxi, Fjällräven, Mountain Hard Wear, Kühl and mall brands are much more common and worn by locals.
Every single big company needs a skateboard team because it's a money grab. It's cheesy as hell. What about rollerblading/roller skating, scooters, BMX, etc? Polo has always been very douchey and overpriced clothes. The hoodie sells for $248, sweater for $698. What everyday teenager can afford that??? The only benefit is to the Element and Polo brands as it elevates their attractiveness since the products cost a lot. Would love to know where the products are made, probably not even in America, yet Polo is supposed to be an "American heritage" sort of brand.
