Although I don't have the money to buy Ralph Lauren's outfits (except for my sunglasses), his collections are an inspiration for the way I dress since many years... And always a success.
You will have the money one day!
I bought fabrics from the NY fashion district (& etc) through a mail order club for many years. Then used RL patterns from Vogue to make my million dollar outfits. Fortunately, I was a very good seamstress and had the best clothes. Consequently, I was invited to the best places by the best ppl.
All those days are long gone now, but memories are still sweet and I still love RL designs!❤

This video just conjures up all the emotions of admiration for a fashion legend, who has managed in a singular brand to capture the entire brand that is America. All of our hopes, dreams, and aspirations are expressed within this lifestyle brand. I will be forever grateful to Mr. Lauren and his shining example of what is possible, when a young boy from the inner streets of New York, dares to insert himself into a dream and make it a reality.
There were just as many models as there were guests, truly classic and timeless collection. The models were of every skin tone and ethnicity which made it so wonderful to watch . The little boys playing around was so cute. My favorite designer hands down.

So well done, the whole thing. I loved that the children were included. He has come from having very little to this and raised a decent family and picked the right wife as well. Classy is a word you don't here much anymore but it certainly applies here.

Ralph Lauren has always been my favorite, ever since I was little youngin looking through W Magazine- back when it was a newspaper, picking out my favorite ads...He just always seems to celebrate the natural classic beauty whatever that may be: a woman, a car, a dog, a cabin, a man, a city, a holiday etc,.I am not saying there are just one type in any of these categories either; there are so many different natural beauties that have been celebrated by RL, that is the beauty of what Ive seen in his brand, to me. He did always seem to want all the models though to look very natural, I honestly never remember an un-natural look in any of his runway looks. Huge Talent!!!!! Huge Accomplishment as Well!!!

EXCELLENT FAMILY ORIENTED SHOW! 👏👏👏 I appreciate that I was not forced to think about anything queer. KUDOS AND CONGRATS TO Master styler and tailor, MR. RALPH LAUREN! 🎉 Your couture for your fall/winter 2019 collection outshined anything anyone was wearing who was LUCKY enough to get a seat for the show. I saw many faces in the audience who looked pretentious to me. Some of them even looked downright unhappy too.☹️ There is no doubt it that this gorgeously designed and muted tone color choice is a sentimental retrospective that salutes our 1940s wartime Americana. The addition of the child models was a brilliant idea. It was also interesting to learn that the clothes that your models wore would be marked down by 75%, and then whatever doesn’t sell will be donated to charity. Apparently Burberry’s TORCHES 🔥 the clothes that their runway models wear after the show. The camera work and the music selection were both great. I was happy inside and I cried when I watched this video.
In closing I just want to tell you Mr. Lauren that you are a class act. I commend you on your 50 years of fashion forward thinking and creativity. You certainly know the heartbeat and rhythm of America. Thank you for your representation of all Americans. I hope that you have a wonderful Thanksgiving, Merry Christmas, and a Happy New Year! 🦃🎄🎁🥂

The kid from the Bronx who graduated from De Witt Clinton H.S. class of '57 and started out schlepping ties door to door. The outpouring of love and affection was an incredible display. A person does not spend a lifetime in the cut throat schmatta business and fifty years later receive an ovation like that! There was real love there. It was palpable!
