Never bathe baby in a big room. The ambient air is very cold. Your baby has very little 'brown fat' and very little ability to keep itself warm. Baby loses most heat from the top of their head. Before you ever put baby in the tub, you should keep baby dressed or wrapped naked in a warm towel from the dryer and wash babys head FIRST!!! You can take this time to also wash babys face and neck at this time. After you wash the head, face and neck dry babys head, neck and face thoroughly and very well. Place a warm hat on babys head. NOW.......... YOU CAN BATHE the body of your baby, Keep the hat on baby so the heat loss is minimal. The beautiful thing about babys are they do not get super dirty. QUICK, warm bath is essential so heat loss is minimal. I always have warm towels in the dryer, ready to go and when I am ready, I have someone go and get the warm towels for my baby! The baby loves this.
I've seen people put a wet warm washcloth over the baby's belly while washing the other areas to keep baby warm since they aren't yet submerged in bath water. Just a little trick!
When you have several kids what time is best to give them a bath ? Do they go one after another or bath together and make a huge mess ? ( mine have a shared bathroom)
Ya know I was hearing what you were saying and I was busy and I thought I was really impressed about how thorough you were being. And I thought wow that baby is being so good through all that. Then I looked at the screen and realized it was a plastic child. I don't understand why you people do this. It is so UNREALISTIC. Real babies are going to be squirming constantly, and most of the time screaming and this gives new parents a totally unreal idea of how bathing a newborn is really going to be.
I don't agree with using ur hands to wash baby face cotton balls will work an most pll put a warm rag on the baby belly an put a portable heater close by to keep the area warm
Sarah Kolb I don't know about CloudMom but I couldn't possibly see the point in having two different colored tubs just because the babies are different genders. Waste of money!
Why do you have to keep one hand on your baby if you are using a little portable plastic baby tub and you're right there? Probably a stupid question sorry
Madzia Bieszczad yes of course but by the time I filmed this video, my baby girl was too old to demo an infant bath! Also, it is very hard to do a baby bath demo b/c they tend to get upset and cry-- but I did my best! Thanks so much for watching!! xoxo M

Hi could you please tell me where you bought this tub from? It seems quite comfortable.
You should really clean from top to bottom, nurses always go by wash from clean to dirty save the hair for last beacuse it will make them cold fast
Thanks! Great info.

Do you have a different tub for your boys
do you mean baby tub? at this point, my boys take showers pretty much, sometimes a bath, and my girls the same, but they all have the same bathroom!
