I’ve been doing this for 40 plus years and don’t even know what I’m doing watching someone else’ laying bricks at 9 at night but you’re doing a great job and probably teaching plenty of new comers the right way of doing things and seem a decent fella so good man and keep it up mate - and I’m a can’t believe it’s time to go already man 🍀👍
Just wanted to say glad your back posting regular videos again, it's great. Very helpful and good videos as well. Keep up the good work, hope the family and dog are all doing well 🙏❤️🍻🍻
My Gramp was in world 1 and came back and spent the rest of his time as a builder. When concrete blocks came in he didn't like them one bit. I bet he wouldn't like any of that insulation and dpc stuff. Just pure bricklaying was his game. 😊
In Ireland our cavity insulation is tongue and Grove.. minimum 100 mm ... i usually use the cavity full fill with the plastic front on them.. build outside course first.. then push it thight to the outer block as it has 10mm spots on it so air can circulate .... xtratherm cavity fill.. comes in 100 ,125 ,150mm boards
Hi changy , I'm not a bricky but I watch your videos , if ever I could afford to have a house built , I'd want you to build it, because your so conscientious, acurate bricklayer , your work amazes me , thankyou for the great videos you do, 😁
I've watched plenty of bricklayers on UA-cam and nice to see good work and different styles or techniques from you all,but laying bricks myself for 40 years can't believe how many of you hit the level when leveling and plumbing instead of the work.
got to be the 1st changster once 2.00 bells hits i start flagging but not long to go with an hour left what does'nt get done today will be there tommorow lad
In my opinion Chang that insulation has got to be one of the worst building details in the uk! I do privates and there making us use 90mm rigid with a 20mm air gap, you can barely take off your snots! Then if you’re using imperials it’s even worse!😂
Ive been doing are trade for since 16 now 34 and in my younger days i was like wish it would hurry to get to pub 😂, but now not touch alcohol for 7 years am now i wish there was more hours in a day but love my job bricklayering wouldnt change good video changy 🧱👌

What difference does it make if you hit the level or the work ?
@user-rv7ig6yg8k well I would imagine you wouldn't have to buy a level or damage it so often.
Nice work just wandering how are your brothers doing these days
Is it a redrow site
What goes in the gap at the returns. No vertical insluted dpc???
Yeah, it will go in
Changster what shape trowel is the marshalltown you use ? And size ?
My mate cabe used to sell trowels and at slimline building merchants and he can get me one cheap but I don’t know what shape or size to get
