Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan (13 October 1948 - 16 August 1997) was a Pakistani musician, primarily a singer of Qawwali, the devotional music of the Sufis. Widely considered one of the greatest voices ever recorded, he possessed an extraordinary range of vocal abilities and could perform at a high level of intensity for several hours. Extending the 600-year old Qawwali tradition of his family, Khan is widely credited with introducing Qawwali music to international audiences. He is popularly known as "Shahenshah-e-Qawwali", meaning "The King of Qawwali". Born in Faisalabad, Khan had his first public performance at the age of 16, at his father's chelum. He became the head of the family qawwali party in 1971. He was signed by Oriental Star Agencies, Birmingham, England. He engaged in collaborations and experiments with Western artists, becoming a well-known world music artist. He toured extensively, performing in over 40 countries

A “wadah shikan” is one who breaks promises, dreams and hopes, shows you a glimpse of a beautiful world, and then takes it away, leaving only a longing that cannot be bridged or forgotten. It is like being caught between two worlds.
To see a glimpse of the Beauty behind the veil of the world is enough. The one who has seen may complain “Ae Wadah Shikan” but it’s okay. There is no going back. There is no way back to the world before the glimpse. Once seen it cannot be unseen. Once grace is given it cannot be withdrawn.

People: What does it mean?
Me: Its something unexplainable. Once you start feeting peace and joy in his music, you don't need anything else to listen.
People: He is sad and slow.
Me: He is the most versatile singer of this globe. Ge has made many things for all the moods. Religeous, sad, joyous, calming, motivational, energetic you name the mood snd I'll tell you his masterpieces you got to listen.
People: But its still hard.
Me: Nope he isn't hard you just need that temperament. Once you'll become his fan it will all be changed.
People: What is so special about him?
Me: Everything but let me list down the ones which i like the most
1. The tunes and symphonies which he made, I wonder how someone can even think of them, his musical imagination is simply out of this world.
2. You like a song, its super hit of the time, yet you get bored of it and it dies in matter of months. His on the other hand are evergreen dosen't matter how many times you play them, alternatively or on repeat you get the same taste which you had once you listened it for the first time. This is his super speciality it never gets old
3. His rythem, he starts low goes to the peak and ends low again. He drops you from where he picked you. No one else has his rhythm
4. Every line is carefully picked and has a beauty not just in delievery but in meaning
5. He was very humble
People: We are unable to understand his fans also
Me: Not just he is special his fans are special also. Its like a family no race no color no religion nusrat fans are just nusrat fans and they feel proud to be introduced as NUSRAT FANS. We respect everyone else's music but we cant compare him with anyone else he is simply not COMPARABLE.
