I recently saw an example of this in the university club. of a team-leader who didn't share the same fight and goal with the other members he just tell them what to do and they accomplish it and keeps the plans for himself .. recently a lot of the core members got out of the club just because of this

I had this quality among other ones and was a successful manager for several years.But a coworker who was a male and actually was competing me, started reporting our internal strategies to CEO. It led to replacing me with him and I quitted right away.

If you would have to chose between a quite low-profile job in a multinational corporation with a big name, and higher position with more interesting tasks but at a much smaller company, what would you consider while making the choice?
