There are many naysayers here. This is craft art, and as the old adage goes, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. The wood is a beautiful color and I certainly can't do what he does so I think it looks wonderful.
😮❤ I love this piece. It is beautiful the color of the wood. I don’t know where you guys are or where you are, but where I live, we don’t have trees that look like that when you cut them down that color you know I wish we did. It’s just beautiful.😊😊
I was once told by someone who was not a woodturner that I should put my wedding ring on a necklace when I turn, because the little pot I put it in got buried under shavings. He also wondered why I put my 3 foot long hair up in a bun. Some people have no common sense.
@chrisberry9017 maybe the person writing that was also a wood turner. I agree with him, especially when the block is being roughed down into shape. You need to keep the blade down, holding it against the judder, or it will get yanked out of your hand and god only knows where it will end up. Putting that much pressure on the thumb is a shortcut to arthritis in that joint. Sure, use that grip for fine work, but not when it's trying to jump out of your hand.
For all you naysayers, let's see some film of your masterpieces! What's that,, you don't have any? Yeah, that's what I thought!! Sorry, but that needed to be said. I'll shut up now. PS. nice work!
I'm not into these types. The skill is in the hollowing and these don't bother. They just drill a hole. What's the point? It's basically a vase shaped candle stick.
I agree, as a wood turner myself, I can appreciate someone who isn’t as experienced learning the craft, but it does sometimes hurt to see such a beautiful piece of wood not reaching its full potential. At least get the sides of this piece even ya know? Still a nice vase that anyone would love to have in their home.

Oh my god. The amount of finish sprayed on that! Look at the runs on it. 100% ruined. And the flat sides??
Another stunning vase. Beautiful.

Everyone has their own opinion but it surely makes a great piece of work if that’s what he wanted beautiful work
👍👍👍
Very nice. Very unique. What kind of wood. Thanks.
Very beautiful wood. I would like to know what kind of wood this is. Ignore all the naysayers, keep turning.
gỗ vải
wood fabric thank you
This is Acacia wood
the intermediate results shot would be nice...show what it looks like every few minutes?
Oh look, another vase!
Were you expecting a car?
You way over did the finish with massive runs. Sand it back down and go litter on the urethane or whatever you used.
Wearing gloves on rotating machinery, good way to lose a finger

Nice.
I’ve seen a lot of wood turning
Stunning! Beautiful!
What is the type of wood please? It's unique! The spraying to make it glossy is great!
gỗ vải
This is a piece of Acacia tree
Might I suggest watching a few videos on wood turning? I’ll just begin by saying that amount of finish will only turn yellow and/or flat over time. 😢
Your wrong!! I would love a beautiful piece like that. I feel it’s real craftsmanship.
کاش نوع چوب را نیز معرفی فرمائید.❤
Hand should be on top the tool against the bar

All these armchair experts! How did we manage without you!

This needs work. Beautiful wood but the shape and lack of craftsmanship ruined this nice block of wood 😞
Show us how you did it better then. Or, if you don’t have something nice to say, don’t say anything at all.

It’s not uneven…it’s abstract. Artists pissing on other people’s art…I’ll never get it. I think it looks great, friend.

So you devolved to paying for things and become one of those people who knows the price of everything and the value of nothing.
You need to stop so we can see the work you do and see wear you are at in stages.
0117 i bet, if you try, you can hold the tool more stoopidly
thank you friend
