Thank you so much brothers! That was so humbling. Thanks for the share and very supportive comments. Hope to meet you guys in the future. Epic videos by the way 👊🏽😤🤘🏽
I found this song on Reddit like 6 days after it premiered and I was blown away. I force all my friends to go watch it and everyone loves it. I was surprised it took so long for reaction channels to get to it, but more are showing up and more will come. Such a great song! Keep up the amazing work!
Yo this song has made me the most interested Ive ever been in Samoan culture. My dad is half German and didnt want any of us boys to learn the language or the culture growing up, and me being into metal only made me feel more distanced to it being that metal is seen as "white" people music. But yeah, Not until I heard of Shepherds Reign ay 🤘🤙
These 2 palagis bobbing their heads to Polynesian metal brings my heart immense joy. Being a metalhead/musician that is an Islander, they give me so much hope that one day I can be where they are.
Polynesian culture and metal clash really well. I hope to see more Polynesian metal in the near future, especially on the same caliber as Alien Weaponry and Shepherds Reign.
I loved the synchronized head banging in this reaction video. Thank you for this! Polynesians are very proud of this!! This is actually a Samoan chant.
Thanks for supporting our New Zealand music guys. I know it was curiosity that brought you to us but props for the review. It's no surprise that you would see the parallels between these guys and AW - we Polynesians are related so our various ethnicities often get confused because of the similarities. To give you a bit of insight - this song is a reinterpretation of the Siva Tau, the war dance that the Samoan Rugby team perform before every game. YT search "Siva Tau" and you'll get what I mean.
This band is amazing, best part is that they are very humble and respond to their fans and not just some PR web manager. I got to ask them a few question lastnight and they responded very quickly. They said They are very honored by all their fans and are happy that people have been making it so popular.
I’ve been addicted to this song for the past month or so. It’s my #1 go to for getting pumped up before the gym, during my workout, and while I’m skateboarding. Dope ass song
fuck yes! These guys were given a shout out by Alien Weaponry and I checked them out and really enjoyed this song in particular. so glad you guys finally got a chance to review this song. I like how hard in it goes and then the break down is just so good.
That was cool. Great Rhythm👍 AW and this Band resemble in their style. Some kind of tribal metal/core theme. Thank you for presenting this. First time i listen to them.
If you like this one, you should check out either “Legend”, or “Concrete Walls”. Either one is badass. Actually, you should just check out their whole album. It is awesome! 🤘🏻🤘🏻
The song Le Manu is pronounced as lear-mah-noo. Polynesian vowels are pronounced similar to how Italians pronounce their vowels. For example A-are, E-ear, I-ee, O-or, U-ew. You also mentioned the song Kai Tangata by Alien Weaponry. Kai rhymes with eye and Tangata is pronounced as tongue-are-tah.
Samoa. Ready to fight the battle Each year your parents Make it possible The Beast is coming! Great ! I appreciate your shot in the dark, made me discover with you this band. Really interesting music what the Rock makes. Should check out further this band. As mentioned before, check out Dutch band God Dethroned. Last week they released a second song and video of their upcoming album. Also the first single/video is a blast!
I really fucking love the effort these people put into getting the Maori word out there. Personally it isn't my thing, but its super humbling to see them taking it upon themselves to represent their people.
in their debut they have a sound as well as an alternative one with nu nu shades with very well worked ballads in the avenger style svfd but with some serious well melodic rumblings that leave you stunned ... now in their new work they sound different it seems a well polished replica burial or soulfly ...... thanks and greetings from cuba....mi inglish stink
Uhh that was interesting indeed. Personally I prefer Alien We. but those guys also have some huge potential! I suggest that you check out vallhalelujah. It's a song from a satire band which lyrics is extremely funny likewise the music itself is also kicking a** Cheers :D
I highly recommend reacting to diabolic by demons&wizards. Epic song with a great video as well. I'm really looking forward to their new album which comes out in February or so.
You should react to this epic deathcore song called sigil by Bog Wraith. It has some of the most disgusting riffs and vocals and it just super heavy and spooky overall.
Caalm the farm down guys - Alien Weaponry are two Māori brothers and their best mate who grew up with them. They sing in Māori, a language that the boys speak well. Shepherds Reign are two Samoans, two Māori and a Chinese guy. This song is a reinterpretation of a Samoan war dance, AW create their own material to honour their ancestors. People get confused because our Polynesian cultures and languages are similar. When I met the guys, their respect for AW was incredible. Update: SR will be the supporting act for AW on Feb 29, Auckland Town Hall.
