I continue pushing the theme of the behind-the-scenes of FPS games. This time I am counting money. Noting every penny that must be spent to clean and repair the TF2 map if it was destructible. It was a hard video to make, I hope you enjoy it.

Viscera Cleanup Detail, Powerwash Simulator, House Flipper - all perfect games to calm down after battle. This game will hopefully be a great additon to them.

Let us not forget this is only 5 minutes of damage per area, imagine a hour long game, bots, tryhards, noobs, W+m1'ers the whole shebang, now imagine hightower.
you have to factor in the occasional friendly moments of 2fort too though, would make a substantial difference in the cost aswell

In the future you can record demos with the in game “record” command and you can no clip around the demos and see the entire map at any given time. So you could theoretically get a real full match estimate for the entire map!

Not many servers support that. But I definitely try it next time
@@Ma_yo_Gamesso, you can record demos on ALL servers using the record command, servers don’t support REPLAYS, which is quite different

You know, since the surfaces of both bases are different, I think it'd be fair to say bullet holes fixes should cost differently. Bullet holes in wood vs concrete vs dirt would definitely be different prices.

I wonder what will happen if you disable fade time of ragdolls, bullet holes and blood, and then go to 24/7 2fort server for 1 hour? Your PC will become a nuclear hazard.
I tried several commands to make exactly that, but Valve fixed that so it wouldn't be possible. Most of commands for this kind effect are useless right now, unfortunately
Can't wait for maintenance costs and utilities bill calculation.
