This whole track is perfection for the film. Alan Silvestri manages to make an original score that already sounds classic. "God Bless Us, Everyone" is amazing and sets the whole mood. Alan just *has* to love Christmas in real life.
The soundtrack of this film gives me the sensations and the magical atmosphere of the Christmas period. Congratulations to Alan Silvestri, this film as well as its magnificent music have unfortunately been too underestimated. Anyway, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all, and, as good old Scrooge would say: "God bless us all!" 🎄🎅🏻❤️
This movie came out when I was five years old! And I...wasn’t scared, I loved it, I still love it. My older brother and sister and my younger brother were all scared, XD (Though Jobro was two so to be expected XD)
Coming from an (non-direct) descendant of Charles Dickens, I think this movie did his book complete justice and even more so! And coming from a music major, this music gives me chills!!!
Even if you were a descendant of Dickens, that is irrelevant to your statement. You didn't write a Christmas Carol, so your opinion is no more or less valid than anybody else's here.
Exactly. He is Alan Silvestri, the long time composer of Robert Zemeckis, known for his works in the trilogy franchise of "Back to the future", "Romancing the stone", "Who framed Roger Rabbit?", "Death becomes her", "Forrest Gump", "Contact", "Cast Away", "What lies beneath", "The Polar Express", "Beowulf", "A christmas carol", "The flight", "The walk" and "Allied"
When this movie came out it scared the shit out of me lol. I was about 10. I still find the story and the characters scary and disturbing but i found the beauty in it as i got older.
Throwback to that one time at summer camp when a counselor was playing music and he was so sure that no one would know the song he was about to play, he declared that if anyone got it right he would date them (mind you this was a 30 is something dude from Czech republic). Me being the weirdo of a 14-year old I was, Immediately guessed " the opening theme to a Christmas Carol!" after the first few notes of the song, and lo and behold, I got it right. Luckily he never came through on his promise, but I think he'll be a little more wary of what he bets.
This isn't a remix; this is a beautiful medley of Christmas songs/hymns, combined with the original melody of "God Bless Us, Everyone" by Alan Silvestri.
It is the melody of "God Bless Us Everyone", a song which Alan Silvestri also composed for this movie. It plays at the end of the movie, sung by Andrea Bocelli.
This movie is a must for every Christmas!
OgerPinata Yes it is! Merry Christmas!!!
True!
No doubt
Second that
1951 version or bust
This movie is criminally underrated
Yes, tbh I think the creepy animation fits the story and feel of the movie
It is so good. And because its so true to the book with an iconic animation style

That is the magic and genius of the story that Charles Dickens wrote. Every year it takes on new meanings as we get older.
La bellezza dei romanzi di quel tempo, un misto tra il magico e il gotico!

This isn't a remix; this is a beautiful medley of Christmas songs/hymns, combined with the original melody of "God Bless Us, Everyone" by Alan Silvestri.
