The situation where you can crow albion in EP before it triggers is specifically if its the opponents albion on _your_ turn, since TP has priority to activate an effect before albion and albion needs to be CL1.

Master duel is the first game to explicitly use tcg rulings. using master duel to resolve rulings (if no bugs) is fine. using edopro is not, as its ocg rules.

It was these testing videos that I both found and subscribed to this channel so this was great even if I showed up live just as the test concluded.

@@saladbetch8235 There are a small amount of things that can be wrong or ruled wrong tho, I forgot which but there was one ruling MD got wrong from what the database said. Not to mention it using the OCG for certain effect timings. Otherwise it's probably correct like 98% of the time I assume.

Start of phase priority always goes to the turn player, toggle your Chain Triggers to In in MD and you get to choose between your availible Quick Effects and any Standby/End Phase lingering effects as your first action for the phase, and as soon as you're out of (or pass priority on) Quick Effects you'll get one last yes/no prompt just to make sure whether you want to do those things, left in as a holdover from when it DIDN'T allow you to time all of them properly like this and tried to order some of them for you even with the toggle On.

If you’ve played master duel, and you’re playing competitively you should definitely know this ruling. I’ve come across this situation several times. Sometimes I lose games just because I’m curious how a situation plays out.

i think its because since its the opponent's end phase, albion is allowed to start as the initial chain during the end phase because it fulfills the requirement to activate its effect if its not banished AND Opponent has priority because its their turn . therefore D.D crow is too late to interrupt albion during the Opponent end phase
btw starting 7:40 we have coder doing 5 stage of grief in 2 minutes 10 seconds (till 9:52)
I'm pretty sure Coder just got confused that it was probably on his turn he Crowed because it sounds more likely that someone would banish with Mirrorjade on the opponent's turn then their own unless you do the me thing and banish Aluber for Branded in Red turn 1.

You can also do this with Runick (Munin) and how at end phase, it gives you the options of effects to activate, and one of them is Munin's life gain effect.
Well, I've definitely cheated thinking the exact same thing as coder. I genuinely thought that it's only the main phases that are open game states when you enter them and that other phases you pass prio to your opponent upon entering and attempting to leave. What a random arbitrary exception.
Honestly there are rulings everyone cheats on without realizing.
Like putting markers on Imperm zones, thinking tribute effects count as activated on field so they are immune to gravekeepers, spell speed and priority.
I used to confuse the tribute thing a lot lol.

@@xCorvus7x I'm saying that turn player has prio but when you declare a phase and do not act you pass priority to your opponent. Barring the main phases unless the action you take is saying "end of main". There's no beginning of draw phase unless you have something like gravekeepers trap, same with standby, and there's no beginning of end phase. It's why you see people go "draw, standby?" As a question because they're asking if the opponent has anything they'd like to do before proceeding.

trigger effects in MD doesn’t matter if you are in auto, on or even off, it doesnt matter if its a trigger eff
I could’ve sworn I just did this too, I used a shuffler to put back the albion back in end phase.
It works if it's your turn, since you have turn player priority in that case.
CMIIW, the CL still based on whose turn it is, if it's your turn you are prioritized to activate effect first, then your opponent can use their effect, unless your opponent do it on end of main phase 2, it goes both ways. Maybe you crow them on your end phase when your opponent activate mirrorjade on ur turn
Don’t worry Coder your not entirely crazy, Yugioh Master Duel will regularly change rulings.
Example: SuperHeavy Samurai Soul Gauntlet’s discard effect states;
“During either player's Damage Step, when a Defense Position "Superheavy Samurai" monster you control battles an opponent's monster, and you have no Spell/Trap Cards in your Graveyard: You can send this card from your hand to the Graveyard; your battling monster's DEF becomes double its original DEF until the end of this turn.”
However, master duel as of today (May 26 2023) treats this effect as a once per turn effect.

I think this is a matter of turn priority? When a new phase is initiated the player in turn has the priority, so can activate first graveyard effects like Albion. If it was Coder turn he could first activate DD Crow as the first thing in End Phase.

Albion effect is CL1 because it is an optional effect. You can't use D.D. Crow preemptively at the End Phase.

well it's obvious that you would crow first in the end phase often as mirror jade gets activated during the opponents turn way more often than the own especially on master duel where the players are a lot worse to do the more unique lines
It's same rulling with Spright Elf in your opponent's main phase.
Opponent will have priority first before you could trigger Elf's effect even with toggle ON.
Because i also tried to use my Elf before it's got kaiju-ed, but sadly, she is gone.

This actually happened me about a month ago, but with Protecting Spirit Loagaeth and it's Sp. Summ effect.
For some reason the effect didn't trigger to Sp. Summon itself if I added to my hand in the middle of a chain, even if the monster that added it to my hand was on the field at the end of the chain...
I closed the game, and returned the next day... The effect resolved normally after that... Never knew what happened...
Most likely explanation would be that it either happened during the damage step or there was something else that restricted you from summoning her.
pretty sure even if u are toggled off, u cant crow before albion triggers. Because albion is trigger eff on EP not quick eff. The system is still gonna ask u even if u are toggled off.
You can do this if it's your end phase not your opponent.

Perfect example of turn player prio, just like that one time i watched a rated db duel and they went to end of bp gave prio passed to opponent the back to player to use evenly matched and they thought they couldnt use it lol. But yes in a nut shell effects that have a gy effect at ep will resolve starting from turn player then at this point quick effects can be chained from opponent ect. Anither good example i watched was kurikara being book of eclipsed on there turn, then during ep sense they had nothing to use as turn player, book lingering effect resolves flipping then drawing, at this point it then goes back to player to use kurikara to revive a monster in gy due to it still being ep.

He's wrong in how it works crow is a hand trap so it needs to react to something and specifically drawing when your opponent draws a a card (except during draw) fire this effect they cannot draw again for the rest of the turn so technically crow would be useless anyways unless he was drawing more than once in the end cause crow fires allows that draw to go through then no more drawing allowed new turn unless I'm not remembering right and it's until your next draw step
maybe you always crow/mudora/keldo them immediately except in their end phase, that's why you are confused.
You’d activate Albion then DD crow the Albion but idk if Albion would still continue since Albion isn’t in GY anymore

If you do that BEFORE the End Phase, when they ATTEMPT to move into End Phase, you can Crow.

People fail to realize that Master Duel is run by Konami of Japan aka the OCG. That mean things like rulings might be different and the fact Maxx “C” probably won’t be banned since it’s at 3 in the OCG

I think he may have crow'd while they were moving to end phase, not in the end phase. You have to play fast to beat the timer, of course.
i think he is probably thinking about when master duel ask you that it is about to be end phase or when your opponent is trying to go to the end phase is thats when you can crow not the actual endphase because it triggers and opponent is prio in his turn.. im not a ruling expert but i play branded and my albion got crowed a lot when tears were out.
Albion is a trigger effect in the end phase which will always have priority over a quick effects you can only ash it in the end phase not crow bird brain 😂

TURN PRIORITY CODER. SAY IT WITH ME GRANDPA. TURN PRIORITY. The only way you can do Crow before Albion in EP if it's on your turn specifically and it is your opponents Albion. You have the ability to activate any card that has a legal activation on end before you pass priority to your opponent for them to respond in end phase or before end phase is concluded.

I THINK I just got cheated in master duel and I need to know what just happened. This is why I hate so many monsters having quick effects… borreland? (The synchro) activates its quick effect, super conductor tyranno chains its quick effect (targets my diabound). Why was I unable to chain diabounds’ quick effect? There was no chance I was gonna win but I hate getting cheated on top of unbreakable boards. There was a monster that could’ve negated my cards activation but I couldn’t even activate. It was like my board became vanilla.
Turn Player can Quick effect first and the opponent can quick effect as a response to turn player action. So you can't crow before albion in end phase if you're not the turn player, but why the hell you wait till end phase to crow albion?
Coder might be sad because of his early stage dementia... but I have not even understood where does the issue lie😅
Did Master duel have an update that made the option to crow happen after the fusions trigger? I wouldn't know this ruling, but seeing you be so serious about this might be a reason why

Master duel is ocg, but I dont think that matters here. Cause When I use striker nocto combo on MD it makes my opponent respond cl2 with an ash and nocto cl3 😢 tcg doesnt work that way.

You can still use DD Crow in response to Albion to banish it which negates it’s effect since it’s now no longer in graveyard, easy way to get around it

Removing Albion from the grave doesn’t negate its effect and it will resolve normally, unless you used Called By the Grave.
So does anyone know why master duel ask you twice to trigger albion in end phase ???
It is part of the recent update, trigger effects can now be chosen to activate at any chain link together with quick effect even on auto.
They just ask you one time on chain prompt and then standard trigger prompt, same thing happen with time thief redoer or any other trigger effect that happened on the same window as your quick effect.

the biggest sign that MD is a cancer to the tcg and what the avg tcg player says for going to next phasre and is acceptable but people in the ocg from the time the phaes became a lil more important ocg players would either say every trigger to change phases and go througfh all of them so there is no issue ever which was normal in ocg for playrs....tcg players hate when people do that.....the people who do that in irl tcg are mostly card sharks to cause confusion....say things a lil faster than normal to cause players to fuck up their play or causing the other player to fuck up and get warning or game lose.
i think i only ever played against 1 card shark type player as the ycs/sjc level......i was using certian sleeves i liked and the were some what worn no card exposure and would have abeen impossible t cjecl cpmsoderomg everry s;eeve looked different. thbe sleeve was full omntact but with some edge wear on the sleeves but what pissed me off so bad as i was on the 1st tabkle like 8th seat und going into6th round. dude was an asshole from start to end. he got so mad at the game that he tried to pull some bs on me and i did what i did all tourny long i top 16th with 3 time seal 2 drop off full mod package and monarchs with triple thestatos and i woudl change about 10 cards in the deck for side deck that made a completely different experience played with the side but the biggest thing it pissed this guy off so bad.....he sided in 4 DW cards when i sided out all hand destruction which lead to many poeple ending up the end of the match staring a dw cards.....also becaus he was being a dick i asked what wa sin his hand he had 3 in hand and tributed for 1 and so i wasnted ot trigger him more for being an asshole to me well i said to him oh year game 2 took out everything that was hand destrouction....dude got super pissed of throw the chair at the table which he should have been kicked out for doing that technically but nothing happened o him ..i beat him faster than it took me to get new sleeves and put them on.i literally had 2 other poeple helping me sleeve my cards as fast as possible. i had asked a couple judghe i kinda knew form around and asked if the sleeves were on and he actually looked at the deck which 2 judges said it should have been fine becausethere is different wear on every single sleeve and there was 0 chance it was marking cards......t
