Okay so I’m hardly one of those people who missed high school. They are still one of my favorite bands ever. Villo Valo still has my heart. He's so freaking gorgeous and such a nice guy. I remember like 15 years ago being at a show of HIM's not that close to stage, but I screamed I love u. He turns to me says it back and says I'm talking to the beautiful girl wearing. I heard u, sweetie. Yep, I definitely had a fan girl moment at that time. The whole place looked at me, and I just smiled and wavedm
Listening this gets me back when I was 22 and my cute nieces in love of Ville, and now I´m 36,living in Finland and I met Ville´s Dad in the store where he works, and sent a selfie to my nieces..hey I just met your father in law!! hahahaha Priceless! :D
Feel nostalgic...this song was my entrance to metal music, still remember the first and only time I saw it on MTV, love it and without listen to other songs I directly buy the CD.
It’s 2021, 16 years later and in a still current pandemic and I can honestly say that era of the mid 2000’s music blows away everything I have heard since. Salute to HIM, one of the most criminally underrated bands of all time.
This song brings me memories... back in these 2006-2007 days I was15. A local radio station played this song every fuckin day. Thank god I grew up and started listening to good music.
Heaven ablaze in our eyes We're standing still in time The blood on our hands is the wine We offer as sacrifice Come on, and show them your love Rip out the wings of a butterfly For your soul, my love Rip out the wings of a butterfly For your soul This endless mercy mile We're crawling side by side With hell freezing over in our eyes Gods kneel before our crime Come on lets show, them your love Rip out the wings of a butterfly For your soul, my love Rip out the wings of a butterfly For your soul (Rip out the wings of a butterfly) Don't let go (Rip out the wings of a butterfly) For your soul Come on, and show them your love Rip out the wings of a butterfly For your soul, my love Rip out the wings of a butterfly For your soul (Rip out the wings of a butterfly) Don't let go (Rip out the wings of a butterfly) (Rip out the wings of a butterfly) For your soul
Ahh. After a good solid month of searching, I have found this song. I’ve heard this song once in my life when I was very little. For whatever reason a month ago something made me think of the guitar solo and I’ve been searching for this song since. I can finally rest peacefully now
When i was in the 7th grade like 15 years ago this is the music i would listen to on my computer at 5am every morning just waiting for the time to leave for school. Brings so much nostalgia.

I’m 17, I came back to this song mainly because my mom used it as a lullaby when I was younger and she’d play it in the car radio whenever we drove around. Those were the days, now I have no free time and we both work. My mother was/is my best friend. Update: I’m 18 now, I’m in the very early stages of moving out of the house. I’ve got another job, this one is fulltime and I’m seeing my mom less and less, I hope things smooth out. Update: I’m still 18, I’ve been getting a lot of kind replies about this, thank you. With the Corona Virus going on I still have yet to find another job but I am closer to my mother. We were actually sitting on the couch the other day and she started casually throwing ashes at me from her smokes. I’ve never laughed that hard at her.
My heart just sank a thousand feet deep into my soul.. these songs bring out a glimpse of memories you almost forgot about. i miss my teenage hood, myself, the air I was breathing that time.. everything was completely different and I’m depressed I can’t feel that way ever again..
You can, if you feel different in a bad way that means you're most likely depressed. I was in the same state before Prozac and Keto diet. I didn't even realize how bad it was, how heavy I felt, like there was a huge weight pressing me down, making me less energetic, irretable and unable to enjoy things in life the same way I used to when I was a teenager. Only after I started to actually feel better was when I realized how far I spiraled downwards. I thought I was just having intermittent episodes of mild depression with a few really bad days here and there, but now I realize that even my "good days" were actually just days of some improvements in my symptoms, but still a full blown depression.
My daughter (much younger version) used to watch 'Viva la Bam' at dad's house, and when she wanted to watch it at my house, I made her explain and then watched it with her. Needless to say,, I became a fan. There was and episode that Bam borrowed a tour has from HIM, but I was clueless. A couple years (or a year, no idea) later, there was this ^^^^ amazing video on her TV as she was getting ready for school. I asked who it was, and she replied (maximum sarcasm expended), That's 'HIM', Mom! I finally figured it out, became a huge fan, moved to Finland (waited on Linde, and his fiancee at the time and his bro who lived in my town! Went to several HIM shows for free, on the 'band list'!)
How many bands can claim the depth of wealth their music and lyrics demands? What could even hope to measure the plethora of beauteous moments HIM songs bring to life in me! I wish I'd get to meet the man HIMself someday!
I'll never forget being in 7th grade, 2006-2007, and waking up early just so I could watch MTV music videos with my brother. This was one I'll never forget always playing. It brings back so many good memories.
same here. I was 5 when my mom showed this to me and now I'm a freshman in high school still listening to it. HIM is awesome, especially ville with his amazing voice.

First discovered this band about ten years ago, randomly bought a dvd and thought what great songs. And how many cigarettes the singer could smoke, seemed like every clip he was smoking. Lost all my cd collection about ten years back but rediscovered them on you tube, with the Live at the Orpheum Theatre. Did realise they were so good. Now Ive been listening and watching for last two weeks. Im 60 years old mind you.

Dough ummm this music video was made around 2005-2006 not 2009. You can't go by the date on this UA-cam video. MTV played it way before 2009.
i remember listening to these guys when i was 15 and 22 years later i still am ,
Somos 🥺
Me too
timeless, here I am almost 20 years later
They are still one of my favorite bands ever. Villo Valo still has my heart. He's so freaking gorgeous and such a nice guy. I remember like 15 years ago being at a show of HIM's not that close to stage, but I screamed I love u. He turns to me says it back and says I'm talking to the beautiful girl wearing. I heard u, sweetie. Yep, I definitely had a fan girl moment at that time. The whole place looked at me, and I just smiled and wavedm
you are so fucking lucky
YOURE SO LUCKY
Would be so cool if he commented and said omg I remember that! Lol
If it wasn't for Bam Margera I would've never found this beautiful band. Brings back memories from the early 2000's.
Listening this gets me back when I was 22 and my cute nieces in love of Ville, and now I´m 36,living in Finland and I met Ville´s Dad in the store where he works, and sent a selfie to my nieces..hey I just met your father in law!! hahahaha Priceless! :D
Is his dad's name Kari? Thats my name spelling the same, im a pretty chic of Nordic ancestry lol
Im 31 and Ville and Peter Steele are some of most beautiful men ive seen
I was 28 then now I'm 41 wow!
My God! I was sooo in love with Ville and HIM back in 2000s. Was crazy about them. Still love them a lot. Brings back so many good memories. 💕
Kids where making there fancy S drawings in school and I was writing heartagrams everywhere 😂😂😂
Virshu Xikuuze me too. Literally everywhere

I am keeping this going, Heartagrams all over the desks and books :D
I thought it was only me! Hahahahaha. Not only this , but after this song I started to draw towers with heartagram like this one at the video clip! 😂
SAME!!
Here in 2021 definitely not proud wish I could go back!
Same here
Feel nostalgic...this song was my entrance to metal music, still remember the first and only time I saw it on MTV, love it and without listen to other songs I directly buy the CD.
My brother loved this song. This song reminds me of him. R.I.P Topher
It’s 2021, 16 years later and in a still current pandemic and I can honestly say that era of the mid 2000’s music blows away everything I have heard since. Salute to HIM, one of the most criminally underrated bands of all time.
❣️
💯🤘
100%
cause 15 million views is criminally underated alright man
@@lucasstruna3962 Yeah dipshit, it is. There are artists that generate a billion views. Not really sure what point you’re trying to make here.
This song brings me memories... back in these 2006-2007 days I was15. A local radio station played this song every fuckin day. Thank god I grew up and started listening to good music.
One of the most amazing songs I’ve ever heard!

Heaven ablaze in our eyes
We're standing still in time
The blood on our hands is the wine
We offer as sacrifice
Come on, and show them your love
Rip out the wings of a butterfly
For your soul, my love
Rip out the wings of a butterfly
For your soul
This endless mercy mile
We're crawling side by side
With hell freezing over in our eyes
Gods kneel before our crime
Come on lets show, them your love
Rip out the wings of a butterfly
For your soul, my love
Rip out the wings of a butterfly
For your soul
(Rip out the wings of a butterfly)
Don't let go
(Rip out the wings of a butterfly)
For your soul
Come on, and show them your love
Rip out the wings of a butterfly
For your soul, my love
Rip out the wings of a butterfly
For your soul
(Rip out the wings of a butterfly)
Don't let go
(Rip out the wings of a butterfly)
(Rip out the wings of a butterfly)
For your soul
Ty!!

Ahh. After a good solid month of searching, I have found this song. I’ve heard this song once in my life when I was very little. For whatever reason a month ago something made me think of the guitar solo and I’ve been searching for this song since. I can finally rest peacefully now
hope it hit as hard as the first time you heard it
@@andrewball4163 ya know what, it really did hit as hard. Maybe even harder!

Am 33 now and this takes me back to being 16 😍😍😅
First day of 2024 and this is a real trip down memory lane, rekindled my love of music from that time of my life. Thank you 🖤
Какой же все таки Вилли красавчик , и ещё этот голос. Неформальная юность моя давно прошла, но даже и сейчас с наслаждением слушаю хиты прошлого ♥️
That was adorable
Lmao I listened to HIM in 2006
As a lullaby...👀
Your mother is fucking awesome.
Aww beautiful strory :3 your mom sounds like she is pretty cool
2023, And Still One Of My Favorite Songs.
I felt so lost tonight before I found your videos. . I feel more at peace now. Thank you.
Who’s still Here for 2021 ???
it's funny, right when I started liking this band, they stopped being a band.
FUCKING :(
Same :(
Same here. I always miss the good bands...And they even performed in the city I currently live in, 5 years ago. Imagine that "luck".
Me too😭
Shit that’s got to suck. Been a fan since I was a toddler never seen a concert. 😭
I thought I was just having intermittent episodes of mild depression with a few really bad days here and there, but now I realize that even my "good days" were actually just days of some improvements in my symptoms, but still a full blown depression.
the way i was obsessed with this album when i was a kid. one of my first CDs!
This song was my introduction to HIM(thanks to yahoo radio) and 10 years later, they are still one of my all time favorite bands.
Markie Klingensmith Yahoo radio the greatest times in my life
My first poster i ever bought was Ville Valo. My parents were very afraid.
Good story👍🏻
The memories... I remember when me and my best friend listened to this, we even used to fall asleep to this. Man those were the days...
I used to play this song everyday after school back in 7th grade...and now I play it in my Sophomore year of college
Exact same here....

same here. I was 5 when my mom showed this to me and now I'm a freshman in high school still listening to it. HIM is awesome, especially ville with his amazing voice.
And now 4 years latter from when you last posted this reply you play it in your career.
My daughter actually got me into this song back when she was in high school. I’m still enjoying it to this day!! ❤
2022 and still listening to this epic song, this was the first song i ever heard from HIM and I've been a huge fan ever since. Always got their music on my playlist. 😃 🏴

A man after my own heart. Much respect. :)
true true
VarietyMusicLover They did bring back old school rs servers.
Haha holy crap, RS! I played it a ton during my little emo phase.
I was watching a doc on Bam Margera and remembered this song bc Ville and him are friends! Love this song and takes me back to the early-mid 2000's. Ah how time sadly flys!
Brings me back to a time I was so happy with my life. Such good people and music
WHO IS HERE AFTER VILLE’S COMEBACK???
