    What features, mechanics and improvements would you like to see in Shadow of the Erdtree?

      The summoning system needs to be fixed, players can be using end game gear but can still be summoned by players who just got past the tutorial. It causes a lot of problems in the PVP.

      I would love to have a modicum of re-playable content in this game, besides ng+, because I enjoy it so much, but there’s just no incentive to keep playing for me.
      So the idea I have come up with solves that issue, but also makes use of items such as Glistening Sacred Tears and Sacred Golden Seeds, (advanced Golden Seeds and Sacred Tears) which have no use after your first play through or whenever you fully upgraded your flasks. The re-playable content that I am calling "Trial of The Elden Lord” would be unlocked after completing the game and it’s DLC, it would be entered by speaking with the "Envoy of The Greater Will” and selecting which difficulty you want it to be set as (more on that below) The Envoy also serves as a vendor for this activity. I will talk more of what’s offered from them later on.
      Other things I’d want in the game before getting into my idea -
      1 - I would want a "looking for group” or some type of matchmaking system to be implemented into the game because this mode would be the hardest content offered in the game and I most people wouldn’t even consider trying to solo it after attempting their first time.
      2 - There would be a floor counter displayed on the top right of the screen, and a timer displayed right above it.
      3 - I would want there to be different difficulty tiers of the activity to be in the game. For example
      There would be a - Tarnished
      Lord
      Elden Lord
      These are different in that they scale in difficulty and amount of enemies/hazards on each floor. However, the higher the tier, the more Sacred Golden Seeds you receive after floor completions and the better the loot contained within chests is.
      MY IDEA
      ------
      My idea is for FS to implement a 100 floor boss rush/exploration area set inside the Erdtree, featuring unique puzzles and items to be obtained between each floor, the 100th floor would be an unforgettable experience that would have the player(s) take on five bosses on a circular platform of golden light, on top of the Erdtree Overlooking all of the lands. The bosses would be golden apparitions of the main demigods that you fight in the base game, but after beating those five you are allowed to challenge an Outer God. I would consider the Outer God to be a "super boss" with multiple health bars and phases, and mechanics tied to the fight giving the player something to practice and master overtime. This boss would be similar to a raid/trial boss from an mmo, such as FF14.
      For the 99 floors below the 100th, The floors would consist of a boss that has a unique mechanic tied to them and smaller enemy units that try to overwhelm/distract the player. After completing a floor you will receive an appropriate amount of runes based on the floor you’re on and a Scared Golden Seed. Sacred Golden Seeds will serve as a currency used at The Envoy, with Golden Seeds you can purchase Larval Tears, New cracked tears, New talismans, more talisman pouches(up to 4 additional ones), powerful armor and weaponry that are aesthetically pleasing, and other items such as saddles for torrent. Another currency that would be used to purchase items from The Envoy would be Glistening Sacred Tears, These Tears would be found throughout the traversal sections between floors, hidden in plain sight or behind doors barricaded by a golden seal only opened by completing a puzzle or some kind of challenge. I want the layers of the Erdtree to serve as more than just arenas where boss fights take place, so exploration would be encouraged by paths of golden light that go off the main path leading to the next floor. Oh and of course the average player might run out of flasks or other consumables during their fights against the champions of the Erdtree, so every ten floors that you conquer you will be given access to a site of grace which is where you can refill your flasks, and also where you can decide to return to the base of the Erdtree and exit, if you desire to. I would want this content to be extremely unforgiving and challenging, giving it a sense of insurmountableness for players that are not confident in their ability’s, and something for veteran/skilled players to brag about after completing. The whole point of this content though is to add a re-playable activity to Elden Ring and I feel like if they added it in the way I described and updated the meta frequently to make the game feel fresh every few months, then it would be regarded as some of the best content implemented in any FS game to date.

      I think player cap raised to 6 would be awesome, same with dyes being available for armour, similar to the Blood and Wine expansion for Witcher 3. A dense forest level like the swamp in DS3 would be epic, and a huge boss encounter, more along the lines of the one I saw for Armoured Core. That was ridiculously big. Those are a few off the top of my head.

      I would like the same changes made by the mod seamless coop,being able to play the game and explore with a friend without loosing our magical cows and being able to enter the dungeons directly while multiplayer

    I am still annoyed that Sekiro never got a dlc, so I expect double the effort on Shadow of the Erdtree to make up for it.

He wasn't bashing them for not making a DLC for it he was just stating his hope like a civil adult. Stay butthurt like the miserable little boy you are though lmfao🤣👍💯.... For the record I've never even played Shakira either because I'm not very good with the parrying mechanics in dark souls best believe I'm going to call out blatant childish stupidity when it's called for, as well as call out dumb kids that just hate because they disagree when the logical response would be to ask a question then debate on the topic.

    Best feature I could hope for is expanding the player limit in the world. A 2v4 is way more fun than a 1v3

    I could NOT disagree more about placidusax. Best dragon fight in all the games. Even better than Midir for me. And what do you mean there’s no action and he just sits there? What about phase 2? When it literally flies around the map and then rushes you multiple times and then teleports around the arena while attacking you? That part alone makes the fight much more interesting and challenging than Midir. Midir is very simple once you realize what to do. Just stand in front of him and sometimes roll through an attack and hit his head till he dies. You can do the entire fight without every rolling or sprinting if you really want to. It’s very simple. It’s epic and amazing, but very simple in terms of gameplay. Placidusax is much more varied and interesting

      yeah, I also think Placidusax is the best dragon fight that is both challenging and a spectacle to see too. All his attacks are fair, he well telegraphs his attacks, his lightning slam mutes the music which is a very helpful indicator to run away from the area. He teleports to close distance, making you not running to him as much.

      Yeh Placidusax is a goated dragon fight, 2nd best in the series in my opinion after Midir. Its down to preference really. Both are very spectacle focused fights, Midir does feel much more intense and engaging, just down to the fact that Placidusax does have a lot of time where he's stationary or even staggered.

    i can understand you not liking moghs rythm, but i think it aint delayed attacks its just how he attacks(most bosses attack fast and have delayed moves to catch you off guard he is the opposite). Locking at it from that perspective, i think mogh is a really nice fight if you really engage with him and learn to handle his rythm.

      It's not that I don't like him, but the moveset loses its charm when every attack is delayed, I would personally enjoy the fight more if there was more variety to the rythm.

      I agree with you, Mohg is one of the few bosses that doesn't suck to fight, imo. His delays mostly make sense.
      But I agree with the video too. All the other bosses just aren't fun to fight, they feel unfair at worst, overturned at best. I am not looking forward to the bosses in the Elden Ring DLC.

      and either way, with the DLC it will be much easier to balance, and fromsoft can learn from player feedback and improve

      @@jdrakefrederick i started with elden ring so i think i instantly lernt to deal with those sort of things. I actually completly disagree with mogh being one of the only bearable bosses. I think radagon,malenia,malekith,mogh,morgott and godfrey are exellent(fun to fight). Bosses like plasidusax and rykard are also very good. I think comming from somewhere to elden ring can worsen the expierence, where I had much fun going back to the old games.

    Id love to be able to do something with all the extra golden seeds i got after multiple ng+
    Like to sell them or be able to use them to create a temporary point of grace.
    Also id love to be able to have more interactions with the spirit summons. I'd love to reunite latenna and lobo abd be able to have a mobile latena in battle!

    3. New Items in EVERY category
    4. new areas/map
    5. new bosses/enemies extra difficult
    6. Multiplayer Boss Rush/Coliseum mode
    7.Torrent customisation
    8. Death blight Lake 😁

    Definitely agree on bosses, and spells. Cursed Golden Order spells sound awesome. I want to do a holy/paladin build but I know I will struggle in the last third of the game. As for pvp, I will take your word for it because I don't care for online play

    I want a catacomb , only ONE. A single dungeon that once you open the door, the entire inside is randomly generated, and acts like a chalice dungeon, allowing for you to refight bosses.
    The dungeon would work by using a boss rememberance, and that boss becomes the end boss of the dungeon, with alot of other bosses inbetween.

    Imma have to disagree with placidusax. It's prob one of the best dragon bosses I've encountered in all of souls.
    While his first phase isnt much of a spectacle his second phase is probably the most unique appraoch to a dragon fight that A souls game has ever given us and I struggled to kill him.
    Definetley better than Midir fight and Kalameet imo.
    Also I genuinley didint like Ornstien And Smough as much as others did (that seems to be a common theme within speedrunners) because of how difficult it can be to properly script the fight, how uninspiring the "hide behind a pillar and seperate one of them" aspect feels and for how glitchy the fight can be at times. I feel like its not a whole lot different from godskin duo in certain aspects and OnS fight is more of a nostalgia trip instead.
    I do feel like the end game difficulty is subjective as alot of it boils down to what pathe you take and what builds you choose but aside from that I agree with everything else you said.
    We need better duel fights, more incantations (i do feel like Elden ring has better inantations then previous souls games personally but its also got some imbalanced incants aswell)
    And a boss Rush mode would be incredible.
    Id also like ways to give different armors to Torrent.
    Last but not least we could definetley use Covenants or at least a good progression system that rewards pvp

      This community loves to repeat the same points without actually examining those points. I've been arguing with people for like a fucking decade about how O&S is NOT some perfect boss fight like people pretend. It is honestly just about as bad as Godskin Duo.
      To be clear, I don't have strong feelings towards either, I usually don't have trouble getting past either one.
      But I swear to god the people that talk about O&S the most haven't even played Ds1

    Great video, though I will disagree with your take about bosses, I do agree with you about the duo fights, honestly ER bosses (Remembrance ones) are a natural evolution from previous Soulsborne entries, people would laugh & complain if ER's bosses didn't evolve from Dark Souls 3 or Bloodborne tbh, we all know it.
    Elden Ring bosses are extremely good at incentivizing aggression, you have to watch out for combo-extensions in which they enforce you to not hit them in their faces like you always did in Dark Souls 3 in a monotonous manner, "I hit you, you dodge, now I'll patiently wait for you to hit me right in my face and not defend myself" (for example: I can auto-pilot against Gael and not be afraid of any attacks because he's just a moderately complex boss mechanically, Gael is one of those bosses that is excellent but gets old fast & you start to feel bored whenever you reach him) while also making positioning crucial, bosses having so much more position-based combo-branching are always better than ones that don't have them, there's a reason why bosses got much more complex & aggressive the more games FS releases, and Elden Ring amplified them to the max, creating the most complex attack strings & dynamic action ever in the Souls series, the only times Dark Souls 3 & Bloodborne approach that complexity is via bosses like Orphan of Kos, Champion Gundyr the real one, had a bunch of delayed attacks & position-based attacks galore, Gael had position-based combo-branches, Ludwig phase 1 too, had combo-branching & position attacks.
    Now, with Elden Ring, From Software knew they had to advance those fundamental ideas, and now we have Margit, which might probably be the most complex boss they've ever made, yes more complicated than Makenia & Maliketh even, and honestly, he's an S tier for me and to most other people, his delayed attacks can be used to regenerate stamina & maneuvering around him, position yourself behind him, if he does his tail swipe, jump & attack him on your way down, simple.
    It's no longer turn-based approach with the bosses like it used to be in Dark Souls games, that formula got stale already, now YOU have to see the punish windows in-between their onslaught, yeah it's harder to do, but that's why bosses keep getting more fresh with every release, trust me, you do NOT want a Dark Souls 3 moment in Elden Ring, you also have jumping which avoids you from AoEs, that's another way to dodge ground attacks, a Radagon & Godfrey fights would never work as good without jumping.

    i rlly dont want to kill miquella or see him in this weird transformation, i wanna have him as a friendly npc with design similar to the promotional material for the dlc
    also interms of bosses, the game just does a bad job of teaching you the proper way to play but when you learn it, its much more fun than ds3 or any other souls game for that matter

    Want:
    - toggle helmet visibility option
    - recolour options so Boc has some actual use
    - Kalé's questline restored (and a few more Frenzy incantations)
    - definitely more spells/incantations for some of the neglected categories
    - more blackflame stuff!
    - about 2 new endings (Age of Unalloyed Gold and something else)
    - can deathblight and holy not be absolute trash

    Apparently the dlc is actualy a fusion of two already planned dlcs because the dev team decided it would just make more sense to do so (and prob to push the release further into 2024 where it would have leas competition since dragons dogma is comming on march).

    One idea for the setting I had would be two new biomes, one focusing on Abundance, and the other on Decay. I think that'd be a cool contrast. Since Godwyn seems to be a part of the DLC, I think the decay region being really afflicted with death would make sense. I'm sure it'll be something different, I just thought the idea was neat lol

      I like the contrast idea and Abundance would make for a very nice theme but Decay is already extremely present in the base game with Caelid, Deeproot, Lake of Rot and the area around Moghwyn Palace so I doubt it would stand out much

    I honestly like the "trickiness" of the bosses. Makes it more of a brain game than pure reflex. I like how Margit or Morgott will shove a dagger up your arse if you position yourself wrong, and I want more branching stuff in the dlc. I don't just want everything boiling down to a reaction game. And while we're at it, isshin input read like crazy as well.
    And that mohg comparision is kinda unfair considering a boss like Nameless king, who similarly delays his attack, gets glazed 24/7.

      yeah no idea what this take was, delayed attacks are fine. You just learn the timing like any other attack, it only punishes you if you panic roll.

      This sounds really good. They could even make it roguelike. Many games got a roguelike mode in the past few years and it can work so well.
      AC Valhalla has Nilfheim, GOW Ragnarok has Valhalla and even Ghostwire Tokyo got the 30 floor Spider's Thread.

    I really want quality of life for completionists like me. We have no way of knowing which caves, tunnels, and dungeons have been cleared and completed. Since launch, I have been putting a custom map marker of a skull on top of each dungeon I clear but I wish there was an official system

      Right now I am trying to get 100% map completion on my side PvE character, there is a premium app called MapGenie: Elden Ring which helps a lot. You can check the locations of everything, mark them discovered, take notes, track quests with built-in guides and some more useful stuff but free version is lacking most of the features.

      Not the best method for what you’re asking for, but if you haven’t beaten the boss of say a miners cave dungeon then it doesn’t allow you to teleport out from any part of said cave. Obviously once the boss is beaten you can run around anywhere in the dungeon and teleport freely. It does require you to check each dungeon in person, but that’s the best way to do it without tracking them all yourself from day 1.

    I subbed to your channel. Mine has a fifth of your subs, and yours is miles ahead of mine, in skill, presentation and just everything really. Mine is more of a TV series that runs parallel to my novels of the same series.
    I'm excited for the DLC and agree with almost all that you said.
    I'd love them to add Armour customisation, even just the cloth on certain ones, and specialist PVP arenas, even if they were just made from certain points on the map. 3 v 3 was another great point too.

    Due to the dlc being called shadows of the erdtree, I feel like it’s going to based around the dark erdtree we heard about in the item description of the helthin steeple sword. Being a erdtree for the dead with it being a in cannon reason fromsoft could allow replayable bosses, with something to do with castle sol (with a ds3 like eclipse to announce death returning), miquella, marika, gloom eye queen, and possibly the prince of death/ranni’s human body being brought back.
    If there is anything I would like to see, it would be a expansion of the lord of chaos and prince of death ending, if not also dung eaters curse ending. With it giving us a boss fight against shabiri and melina post chaos ending. Since she promised to kill us, so we might as well get to see what she’s cooking. Hopefully her or shabiri being the new hardest boss in game, with them being something that could compete with fume knight for being the hardest boss in the series - will probably have to give them ds2 dlc defenses so they don’t get easily 1-shot by certain builds…

    I just subbed because your poll and the comments on it got me so excited to play the DLC. the only problem is my Ps4 Pro died out and it seemed too late to replace it. I'm not sure I'll be able to either get a PS5 or learn to upgrade my PC to run it at an equitable level of fidelity. Anyway, I liked your Berserk references. Also I agree the dragon fights could have been a lot better. Let's not forget the demon prince boss either. I realise they could be "wyrms" or demons but I feel they should be considered a dragon fight. Theyre certainly aggressive enough!

    Things I would love to see:
    - implement Melina as the gloam eyed queen or whatever her ending with the frenzied flame means
    - more alteration of armor and clothing, maybe swap or match color paletts. This system was so underused
    - if its a dreamlike setting, maybe some of the gods/demigods at their prime like Miqella remembers them (Radahn as a sane person would be dope)
    - like they did in every other DLC, they should deliver with awesome weapons, we should be getting the most badass weapons and weaponarts

    I think your point about elden ring bosses having less anying imput reading, comparing to sekiro is just bad. For example lets take genjiro (before 1st phase of issihn) if you heal: insta imput read that makes him do a dash attack, that cant be countered because your healing takes to long. Same as isshins first phase, if you heal he dashes to you if you heal and gets a free hit, because this attack is too fast. But in ishins 2nd phase his fight becomes rly amazing. If you heal he will jump at you with a delayed overhead spear hit that you can easily block in time, because you just have to spamm parry during healing to get free Posture dmg. His last phase doesnt bring anything new to the table but isnt Supposed to be hard, a free phase that you get as a reward for beating his first and second phase. Overall i wish for an elden ring dlc boss fight that is like ishins 2nd phase, because that was peak balanced difficulty in sekiro. A boss like malania would also be very nice, but without hyperarmor that is immune to stagger dmg. I never had imput reading problems in ER other then radagons lightningbolt.

      There are three different movement types Souls bosses have.
      Positional movement: you can see this in speedrun and nohit runs, bosess will queu attacks based on your positions.
      Healing Punish: Bosses will interrupt your healing, there are multiple bosses throughout all Fromsoftware games that will punish you for healing. I talked about this on one of my earlier videos Isshin's heal punishment is the most fair read among all the bosses, you will have enough time to block Isshin's heal punishments as lons as you hold deflect right when the healing animation ends.
      Lastly there is input read: bosses will dodge your attacks, they will queu certain attacks based on your input to lock you in animation and make it impossible to dodge. In earlier builds of Elden Ring you could cheese Runebears to see the input read, even after sneaking up to them completely unnoticed they would do an instant 180 turn as soon as your attack started and they would hit you while you are stuck in the attack animation.

    Calling it now, DLC will be set beneath the Lands Between in an upside down style spirit world.
    The "tree" in the picture will actually be the tap root of the Erdtree (aka the Helphen Steeple), wrapped with Deathroot.
    We'll get to the DLC via boat, departing from Limgrave, end of the valley near highroad cave. The boat will enter a whirlpool in the middle of the map.
    Malenia's Tutor, the blue fairy, will be an NPC / Boss.

      @@Lerbon_Janes I think Malenia is the blind swordsman and her tutor was the fairy. Far as I'm aware the tutor isn't referred to as being blind, but Malenia is obviously a blind swordsman.
      "The dancer in blue represents a fairy who in legend bestowed a flowing sword upon a blind swordsman" - implies that any reference to a blue dancer is referring to the fairy, not the blind swordsman. He bestowed his flowing sword style (i.e waterfowl dance), not a literal blade. Makes sense that a dancer would teach a dance.
      The Prosthesis heirloom states that her tutor had a flowing blade and helped her to control her rot. And so "Blade in hand, the
      swordsman sealed away an ancient god - a god that was Rot itself." Her sword is called "hand of Malenia" her blade is literally in her hand and she seals away the ancient god of rot that resides within herself. Well, until she removes the seal and becomes the "goddess of rot" In her second phase.

      @@nebky malenias tutor is the one who wielded the flowing swords you get from the consecrated snowfield cavalry carriage, and he was from the same clan as the warriors, he was blessed by the blue fairy to seal away the god of rot, which could be physically through defeat and imprisonment, or by changing the course of rot rivers to circle back around to the lake of rot

We know there's a blue dancer fairy, who has flowing swords and bestowed that upon a blind swordsman. We know Malenia, a blind swordsman, was taught by a blue dancer with flowing swords. We know the blind swordsman sealed away the god of rot and we know Malenia (through the tutorship of the blue dancer) has sealed the goddess of rot within herself. Not sure why everyone thinks there needs to be a third character when there's no mention of one.

    I know whatever they bring in the DLC will be amazing, I'm super excited for all the boss fights and areas and hints of new lore. I just really hope they add a katana or ash-of-war similar the the RT of Frayed Blade from DS3. I love hand of Malenia because of waterflow dance, but the katana stance and performing a multitude of controlled slashes is just so cool and I loved it in DS3.

    It might be a stretch to ask for this from a FromSoftware game, but I would personally love an online PvE-centered mode in the colosseum. Something along the lines of a wave-based mode where you fight groups of enemies, topped off with a bossfight at the end, would be really fun to play, especially if played with other people.
    I would also love it if they added more hair options in the customization menu because I have like 4 male characters and I'm already running out of ideas for them lol. Also please let us alter more armor sets!!!

      I would love to have a modicum of re-playable content in this game, besides ng+, because I enjoy it so much, but there’s just no incentive to keep playing for me.
      So the idea I have come up with solves that issue, but also makes use of items such as Glistening Sacred Tears and Sacred Golden Seeds, (advanced Golden Seeds and Sacred Tears) which have no use after your first play through or whenever you fully upgraded your flasks. The re-playable content that I am calling "Trial of The Elden Lord” would be unlocked after completing the game and it’s DLC, it would be entered by speaking with the "Envoy of The Greater Will” and selecting which difficulty you want it to be set as (more on that below) The Envoy also serves as a vendor for this activity. I will talk more of what’s offered from them later on.
      Other things I’d want in the game before getting into my idea -
      1 - I would want a "looking for group” or some type of matchmaking system to be implemented into the game because this mode would be the hardest content offered in the game and I most people wouldn’t even consider trying to solo it after attempting their first time.
      2 - There would be a floor counter displayed on the top right of the screen, and a timer displayed right above it.
      3 - I would want there to be different difficulty tiers of the activity to be in the game. For example
      There would be a - Tarnished
      Lord
      Elden Lord
      These are different in that they scale in difficulty and amount of enemies/hazards on each floor. However, the higher the tier, the more Sacred Golden Seeds you receive after floor completions and the better the loot contained within chests is.
      MY IDEA
      ------
      My idea is for FS to implement a 100 floor boss rush/exploration area set inside the Erdtree, featuring unique puzzles and items to be obtained between each floor, the 100th floor would be an unforgettable experience that would have the player(s) take on five bosses on a circular platform of golden light, on top of the Erdtree Overlooking all of the lands. The bosses would be golden apparitions of the main demigods that you fight in the base game, but after beating those five you are allowed to challenge an Outer God. I would consider the Outer God to be a "super boss" with multiple health bars and phases, and mechanics tied to the fight giving the player something to practice and master overtime. This boss would be similar to a raid/trial boss from an mmo, such as FF14.
      For the 99 floors below the 100th, The floors would consist of a boss that has a unique mechanic tied to them and smaller enemy units that try to overwhelm/distract the player. After completing a floor you will receive an appropriate amount of runes based on the floor you’re on and a Scared Golden Seed. Sacred Golden Seeds will serve as a currency used at The Envoy, with Golden Seeds you can purchase Larval Tears, New cracked tears, New talismans, more talisman pouches(up to 4 additional ones), powerful armor and weaponry that are aesthetically pleasing, and other items such as saddles for torrent. Another currency that would be used to purchase items from The Envoy would be Glistening Sacred Tears, These Tears would be found throughout the traversal sections between floors, hidden in plain sight or behind doors barricaded by a golden seal only opened by completing a puzzle or some kind of challenge. I want the layers of the Erdtree to serve as more than just arenas where boss fights take place, so exploration would be encouraged by paths of golden light that go off the main path leading to the next floor. Oh and of course the average player might run out of flasks or other consumables during their fights against the champions of the Erdtree, so every ten floors that you conquer you will be given access to a site of grace which is where you can refill your flasks, and also where you can decide to return to the base of the Erdtree and exit, if you desire to. I would want this content to be extremely unforgiving and challenging, giving it a sense of insurmountableness for players that are not confident in their ability’s, and something for veteran/skilled players to brag about after completing. The whole point of this content though is to add a re-playable activity to Elden Ring and I feel like if they added it in the way I described and updated the meta frequently to make the game feel fresh every few months, then it would be regarded as some of the best content implemented in any FS game to date.

    Every boss in Souls imput reads this isn't exclusive to Elden ring. Also Placidusax is better then Midier change my mind. Not every Dragon boss has to be hyper agressive like Midier. These complaints feel pretty hypocritical. It's almost like trying to compare boss balance in a linear smaller game to an massive open world game is stupid

      In Dark Souls 3 bosses punish you for drinking Estus, there isn't a single boss in all Dark Souls games that reads input like ER bosses, you can confirm it by spending 5 minutes and watching the Elden Ring's documentary about their game design. "It's almost like trying to compare boss balance in a linear smaller game to an massive open world" Bigger scale doesn't justify worse quality, especially when there's 6 years gap between these games, your idea of open world vs linear would only work if they these games belonged to different franchise and developed by different people in the same year.
      It is in fact stupid to criticize someone for pointing out the lacking parts of a game, don't do a multi-million dollar company's PR for free.

    I don’t get the difficulty complaint about bosses. Play as a intelligence build and you’ll understand why difficulty had to be approached this way. Intelligence + summons = nearly impossible to lose against anyone.
    sure the game may feel unfair, but using all the tools available, the odds are greatly stacked in the players favor

    fromsoft was actually originally supposed to have 2 DLCs, for some reason they decided to merge it. they were the miquella one and godwyn one.
    since godwyn is the prince of death, I hope holy damage finally gets the buff it deserves, since all undead are weak to holy

    The perfect power for Michella to have would be some kind of transforming armor and weapons made from holy energy. Almost like the armor is a type of golden shade similar to the first godfrey fight.

      It isn't really optimized, I quickly put something together for video. 14 Faith 45 Dex/Arcane 27 Endurance, RL 137. But I was using a +5 weapon in the video so you can push the damage even further.

      Not the bosses, but some enemies have it in order to make the attacks even faster. Dual Wielding Banished Knight in Castle Sol is an example to this, between his stomp during the frost attack and the actual jump there are sped up or cut frames so you can't really see the exact moment it finished the first part of the animation and transitions to the second part. It's quite unique and a different approach, but I'd love to see a more organic difficulty.

    Even after 4 mounths the Elden ring has no good dragon boss take still baffels me to this day. Placidusax is arguably the best Dragon boss in the series and I saying the Kalahmeet is better than Placidusax feels like an oxymoron to me.

    What do I think.
    Look... Miquella was really close with with Godwyn. So much that after Godwyn dies, Miquella starts to create weapons to kill those who "live in death"... to give them a real death, and maybe someday giving this true death to Godwyn.(You can see this by reading the golden epitaph sword)
    Talking to the ghost at the end of Castle Sol, reading the eclipse shotel and the dark sun shield.... you can see that Miquella discovered a ritual that was suposed to bring Godwyn's soul back. The ritual needed an eclipse to happen... it didn't.
    WHY? BECAUSE RADAHN IS HOLDING THE FUCKING STARS!
    Miquella sees that and sends Malenia to solve the problem. She fails and while she is away Miquella gets kidnapped.
    NOW WE COME IN.
    What do we do? We kill Radahn... giving back movement to the stars/the fates of the gods.
    We kill Mohg. So now Miquella is free.
    And we kill the dragon inseide Godwyn's mind... THE ONLY THING STOPING THE DEATHROOTS TO GROW EVERYWHERE(right under the capital/tree btw)
    And what can we see in the only dlc image? Miquella/St.Trina going in the direction of an Erdtree almost completely taken by deathroots.
    That's the only thing I would bet it will happen... Miquella will try the ritual again.
    What can happen? The "shadow of the erdtree" it's mentioned in game to describe a tree that exists in the shadow of the erdtree... in the "dead dimension"... with it's own grace guiding the dead. Kinda sounds like Godwyn shit... so it could happen that we go there.
    St.Trina will probably be a part of it, so we can probably have some dreams to go in...
    What do I want? I want all of this to be right so the dlc it's a continuation of the main game and I can know WTF HAPPENS WITH TANITH!!!!
    What do I KNOW. More of everything we have. Legacy dungeons, normal dungeons, bosses, mini-bosses, mobs, npcs, ashes, summons, great runes, cool weapons/armor, new shit to craft, caravans, spells, miracles, DRAGONS, evergaols... MORE OF EVERYTHING WE HAVE!

    What are people's obsession with seeing bosses in their prime? The more interesting bosses like Artorias, Gael, Allant, Lady Maria, etc., are far past their prime but they're much more fascinating and honorable characters. Just imagine if Ludwig turned from a horse into an unblemished, ripped, pasty white dude and started screaming at you to run at him with everything you've got. This would obviously be terrible. I want to see the flaws of every character in a From game. If I want perfect, unflawed OP bosses, I'll just play any other game in the market that frequently offers that

    Also I’d really like a quest to take Boc into Rykard’s arena so that he can make us some sweet drip out of his scales. Same for fire giant.
    Also I want Morgotts incantations. The sword and hammer though similar to the sorcery counterparts has enough of a different move set and damage type that would suit the game well.
    Finally I want the Duelists weapons but with the chains aswell why did they remove the chains for the players?

    I main a pure Dragoncult build and man do those incantations have their issues.
    It sorely lacks variety for a range of contingencies, especially at close quarters. But the biggest issues are the long cast times and poor tracking.
    Some incantations will just not work in certain areas around certain terrain. Ancient Dragon's Lightning Strike not finding ground in caves or other areas with low ceilings, Honed Bolt suffering the same issue in similar places, Frozen Lightning Spear and Lightning Strike just not tracking up or down certain terrains (sometimes even completely wiffing unaware locked on targets who are not even trying to avoid it), etc.
    The cast times on red lightning incantations are needlessly long. In some cases because you have to levitate in the air before casting. Sure it looks cool, but you end up looking like an idiot when you're splayed out on your ass because the wind direction changed. There's no reason why Honed Bolt should take that long to cast while the weapon art equivalent comes out almost instantly. And then there's Ancient Dragon's Lightning Strike, does anything take longer to cast off then its charged version? My god, it's like waiting for the weekend. And you could get all the way to the end of the wind up just for some one to knock you out of it with a stern glare or disapproving glance. Trim a few frames off some of the wind ups and bring the hyper armour in a few frames earlier and these incants would be much better balanced. Some times the risk/reward just isn't worth it.
    I don't expect the DLC to patch or optimise any of these issues but I do hope it brings in a few more lightning incantations. It could benefit from more variety and versatility.

    Couldn't agree more with regards to pvp. I've been saying for a long time now that FromSoft need to massively nerf pvp damage across the board. Weapon arts are just "I win" buttons and have lowered the skill ceiling (for invaders as well). They should feel like weapon skills in DS3 do; something that extends your moveset and adds versatility, something you can throw out to catch someone off guard, something you never depend upon. What we have instead is low cost, low effort, low risk, true comboing, spammable, hyper armour super moves that trivialise everything.
    Pvp in DS3 feels so much more organic because it doesn't suffer from this issue. Core fundamentals, like spacing and timing, are relevant and there's more room for skill expression. And of course it usually isn't over in mere seconds because someone had a better weapon art.
    Nerf bleed as well, you should never be able to near insta-proc someone for almost all their health because you swung 2 weapons at the same time.
    3 things need to happen to fix multiplayer pvp:
    1. max player count cap increased to 6
    2. covenants
    3. massive damage reduction across the board

    100% agree on the bosses. They kind of suck in Elden Ring, I just dont look forward to the majority of them.

    My expectations or theory for the DLC is that we'll see a dark and evil Godwyn as it's stated that his soul was killed but not his body. He'll probably be the final boss of the DLC. I also reckon it will be themed on death and darkness like the Artorias DLC. Hopefully the bosses aren't as fast and barely doadgable like for most of Elden Ring. While the fights in Dark Souls 3 are easy, they felt difficult at first because i understood that i made too many mistakes. Even so they had long combos you could still dodge well and still have time to roll through the next hit.

      @@simonealcazar816 they're not undodgable and it's something i agree with. It's just frustrating that it doesn't intuitively teach you positioning for each combo. The problem imo is that follow up attacks are way too quick which makes dodge timing awkward and again, makes learning positioning frustrating for the majority of bosses. At least with the more difficult bosses in DS3, they were fast but you could still dodge every hit in their combos and learn positioning for each attack by judging the direction of the attack. I enjoy fighting Elden Ring bosses but their attacks makes things frustrating and makes the game feel clunky when you can barely dodge their attacks and have to run out of some of them.

    This guy is asking for more incantations when there's over 100 in the game, meanwhile sorcery only has around 70 spells, and they're mostly just different ways to throw blue shit at things.

    How is input reading not fair difficulty? I mean even sekiro had it. It’s fine honestly, it makes it so you can’t just freely heal or trade hits like DS3, where 90% of the bosses are just a joke.

    One thing I realized is that beating the game at RL1 doesn't make any argument more or less valid. I see you and feeble king complaining about end game damage and delayed attacks and while I'm really bad at the game and probably will never beat at RL1 I completely disagree with you about this aspect of the combat and I think Elden Ring bosses are the best and more fun they have ever been in souls games. Gael is super basic in comparison but if that's what you prefer that's ok.
    Also the whole incantations chapter is absurd. Sorceries are mostly used to deal magic damage regardless of the spell used. Incantations are way more versatile in types of damage, buffing, removing ailments, healing, have more variation in projectiles, and even in animations when casting.

      I don't see how can it be absurd. He is not saying we only need incantations or anything, there are 70 Sorceries, maybe 65 of them are damage sorceries, meanwhile there are ONLY 8 damage lightning incantations. Out of those 8, 2 of them have bugged hitboxes, 3 of them are the same spell with different cast animation plus they are extremely slow and one of them is also an ash of war.

      It feels repetitive, fight looks amazing and I said in one of my previous videos Plasidusax is the most cinematic and epic dragon boss across all Souls games for me but he either does a breath attack or a claw attack the fact that he can't really move around other than teleport makes his fight a bit too static, that is why I prefer Midir over Plasidusax even though the moveset variety is pretty much the same between the two.

    I’m hoping for tweaks to PvP. Theres currently no incentive due to no covenants or anything to work towards. Invading sucks cuz you’re basically entering ds2’s gank fight from the sanctum every single time. I can’t even remember the last time I invaded a player that was just casually playing through the game by themselves. I’m pretty sure that’s how the mechanic was initially supposed to work. You’re hindering another players progression by invading their world and fighting along side the enemies to take them down for rewards. Also, being a part of a covenant gave that sense of honor because you felt like you were fighting for something. PRAISE THE SUN! For real though.. if ER implemented covenants… oh boy would there be a lot of fun to be had.
