Ironically the way Midra fights was exactly how I imagined the Gloam Eyed Queen would fight, swinging a big slender sword coated in flames and her spamming flames around the arena while moving in a dance like manner. It's a shame she wasn't in the dlc but her absence may be proof that Melina was the GeQ or at least that the GeQ was Melina's other persona that all empyrean seems to have.
what do you mean by every empyrean having another persona ? Miquella's other persona is St Trina but Marika/Radagon are probably just shamans who were "mixed" together, and even if you count them how do ranni and malenia have another persona ? genuine question
i think the reason Godwyn wasn’t a boss was bc he was both dead with his body and soul. but still sucks there was literally nothing with him and Melina/Gloam Eyed Queen
I love Godwyn he's who I would follow, but he's more dead than anyone else. His SOUL is dead. Everyone else returns to the Erdtree. Rykard is clearly still able to return given his post death dialogue, and even Morgott turns to grace in Godfrey's arms. Godwyn is dead in the worst possible way, and bringing him back means ending the death blight which would be a HUGE plot hole. Him and the GEQ are gone and fans need to stop bitching about it. The entitlement among gamers is at an all time high I swear.
They could have definitely written him in with an asspull. They’re the ones who create the lore after all, it’s not really like they’re limited by it. They could introduce a new character who gives back souls or something and write lore for it. They are limited by nothing but imagination and Radahn just wasn’t a very inspired pick.
11:22 when you said “it’s interesting he bends reality” i get that bc one of my fights was going well then my laptop just randomly went to my home screen for no reason and i died :(
Radahn by itself is a fine boss but come on we fought him in the base game. He had a good story, good background why bring him again, at least don't make him a final boss.
Take away unnecessary and disappointing, and ur statement is facts. Maybe for people who just rushed through the entire dlc to find out who the bosses are, yeah i could see that as disappointing, but for someone like me. Who’s spent time talking to every npc, doing all the side quest, and reading item descriptions. Anyone else would make even less sense. Godwyn would make even less sense, so idk why everyone’s crying saying it should’ve been him. Messmer would’ve been nice, and that’s who i thought the final boss would be, but I personally think Radahn fits perfectly.
@@gamblerbeast455if everyone is “crying about it,” maybe it makes a bit more sense than you realize? It’s sort of like that saying “if everyone you meet is an a**hole, then maybe you’re just an a**hole.” Maybe if the majority of people were expecting it, it’s you that’s gotten something wrong about the lore?
I understand what people mean by Godwyn's Soul is dead, but his body is still living and is what is causing Death Blight to be present in the lands between. His body definitely could have been controlled by *someone*, maybe Miquella, or just writhing and defending itself mindlessly. ❤
@@Cyn_likes_corpsesradhan soul was not killed. The fact that he had scarlet rot doesn’t mean his soul was killed just his mind. Where was it mentioned that radhan soul died.
My issue with Radahn is indeed that he feels out of place and feels extremely fanservicey. 2 years ago during the release of the base game, after people were around Radahn, I read a lot of comments over youtube reddit etc saying. ImAgInE iF wE fIgHt RaDaHn In HiS pRiMe In ThE dLc. Even if it fits for the dlc story, it could have been written to cater towards that demographic. Like they even added Torrent for the Elden Beast fight recently in the base game a bit before the DLC release. So I wouldn't be surprised.
You can really tell Relanna was tacked on, I went back and checked in Raya Lucaria and couldn't find a portrait of her anywhere even though she was supposedly a carian princess and as much of a prodigy as Renalla. Even Sellen has a portrait in there even though she's a rogue witch... Appreciate you giving Dancing Lion so much love! I never thought one could make such a cool boss inspired by chinese Dragon Dance, yet here we are.
I genuinely hate the last boss. I don’t get me wrong the character is awesome and I love that this is him almost at his prime but phase 2 is such an awful experience. Apart from the fact I’m getting frame drops every time he does holy attacks the light itself is enough to blind me to whatever attack he’s doing so I’ve been having such a shit time trying to figure out where I need to roll and what he’s even doing.
Exactly! How am I supposed to react to his combos while the game keeps running around the 20's, plus the flashbang shit just makes it even worse Like even if I was able to do the first phase hitless I couldn't apply the knowledge I had about his combos to his phase 2 simply because I COULDN'T SEE SHIT After spending 3 days stuck on him I just realized I wouldn't go anywhere with my build so I ended up having to respec my character. Just to beat a boss
@@Pandemia616 yeah it’s likely a pc problem elden ring has never had a good track record for that. I did kill him yesterday thankfully and let me just say if you want to have an easier time with this boss run the deflecting hard tear. I was able to deflect a majority of his attacks even some holy attacks and it actually made this boss fight so much easier.
Besides the broken charge move Gius is actually well designed and very fun imo. His head banging move where he goes nuts is actually quite easy to dodge when u figure it out. They just have to patch the damn charge hitbox...
I guess the issue with rellanna is her lack of impact, she just appears so i feel like she is comparable to dragonslayer armour or champion gundyr A fight which is extremely fun in some way with great music and an excellent arena but nothing more
So far rellana has been my favorite boss. She has really long combos, but i thought she still had plenty of openings. Biggest problem with her for me is that castle ensis is kind of lame and there wasnt as good of a suspense buildup leading up to her fight as there was for other bosses
I really hate the final boss tbh, should’ve been Godwyn. I imagined something similar to that arena with an eclipse and insane music. Instead we got Reddit’s favorite demigod… again with a second phase at 75%? That comes with a Touhou barrage after a ton of moves and that annoying stopping the fight nuke. Golden hippo is still worse if that helps.
Messmer is now my 1b sitting right beside Gael my 1a for my favorite FromSoft bosses of all time. Truly an incredible fight that I believe will go down in history as one of the greatest of all time sitting there with the likes of Friede, Ishin, Maria, Malenia, Ludwig, Gael etc
As the one person who likes Gaius, I was getting more and more excited as the video progressed, and he hadn't been mentioned. The charge is janky af and needs to be fixed asap, but I found the rest of his attacks to be really fun to fight against.
With dancing lion and the camera, the camera stops being an a problem if you just move around the center of the arena and keep a little distance from him, letting him come to you instead.
Literally nothing pointed to Radahn being the final boss or him having any sort of close connection to Miquella in the base game. The most we get is a subtle hint of how he completely disappears when defeated at the Festival when most demigods leave a body or something behind and that’s it. It feels like they had the DLC but then said “oh we need to surprise everyone” and changed whatever they were building up with Godwyn with Radahn and made Miquella a villain, or at least more villainous than he was thought to be. People are gonna argue that with Godwyn dead in soul it would’ve been impossible but this is Elden Ring, surely there could’ve been some work around in a game where souls can be transferred and the concept of death itself can be removed from the world and a rune can be made from a harlot coupling with a corpse. Well at least Mohg beat the allegations so that’s something.
@@rachelyoung8401 I didn’t make a bunch of stuff to explain Godwyn, I made a counter argument to the comments saying it can’t be Godwyn because he has no soul. He mutated into a giant mermaid long after death, surely some wacky stuff could’ve been written up by FromSoft to make Godwyn the final boss. Maybe it is nonsensical to have Godwyn as the final boss of the DLC but it’s not like having Radahn as the final boss makes any more sense.
I could say the same about gael being the final boss of the dark souls trilogy. Not one mention in base game. Yet everyone, including me, loves him and understands why it's him even if the lore is actually more ambiguous than radahn being the final boss
I dont think i've used a shield in a fromsoft game since my first DS3 playthrough. I went all the way back to the shunning grounds to grab the Fingerprint Shield to fight Gaius. Made a guard counter build, and it turned it into the most fun fight i had in the DLC.
Radahn is the true final boss of the game. His move set is so badass, his aggression is completely maxed out, the fight is very very cinematic, and you’re technically fighting 3 different people. Three different move sets to get used too. The lore leading up to that fight had me so ecstatic to even enter the arena. Every npc showing worry, anger, or sadness about their leaders falling apart. Everyone trying to piece together what Miquellas true plan was, after we broke the spell. Him ultimately betraying everyone including himself, just to reach god hood. St.Trina definitely completed the puzzle and let us know his true motives behind becoming a god. Ultimate power and control over everyone. Then we come along to put a stop to it. Love or hate him, he’s better than every other boss in the entire game. No question. I found Messmer more annoying than anyone, and absolutely hated the Flower. That third health bar had me ready to rip my eyes out. Gg’s to everyone who beat the dlc 👑
The DLC was really good until Radahn, even if the fight is backed up by lore it still comes off as lackluster fanservice, I've always wondered what prime Radahn was like as many players did also, but as THE final boss, really? When they could have introduced Godwyn, or shit, even a brand new character.. I have to say in its defense that the fight is mechanically interesting (aside from that 3-hit instant move and P2 frame drops), I had a lot of fun with it and hopefully From patches some of its issues.
I keep hearing this but Godwyn is even more fanfic-y than Radahn. Radahn’s lore actually makes a lot more sense. Miquella = Marika and Radahn = Godfrey/Radagon. Godwyn was completely dead (rune of death) from the beginning the story while Radahn’s death directly tied into the land of shadow which is stated to be a place where all forms of death wash up.
@@patrascu1485 In ER there’s a difference between simply dying and being TRULY dead. Godwyn was truly dead because he was killed by destined death, which is literally referred to as “death of the demigods.” Not the same thing as Radahn. Death in ER is a fairly normal thing, but destined death is a much bigger deal.
@@zaynthemane quick correction, Maliketh is the one called "death of the demigods", not the rune of death. Otherwise, yeah. Godwin's soul is DEAD dead, having it return would be iffy lorewise.
@@zaynthemaneYou are right, it's so funny seeing people claiming they put Radhan there for fanservice when it was clearly the most controversial decision they made. Putting Godwyn there on the other hand would be pure fanservice, everyone and their mother was convinced it would be him.
If they wanted to do Inner Radahn they should've made him an optional boss in a memory. Something like Sir Alonne in DS2. Let us see pre-rot Caelid as the arena, fight a full-powered Radahn and maybe even have Malenia as an NPC/summon (although they would need to power her down a lot so she doesn't just solo him). Would have given them a great opportunity to flesh out Malenia, Radahn and the shattering war. Then they could have put Godwyn at the end of the DLC, or some other boss that makes even a little more sense.
Review bombing the dlc is really frustrating, I swear half the playerbase is clueless. I helped at least a 100 players since the release, more than half of them had almost no scadutree blessing. People buy exploration based game and then they cry about the game mechanic that rewards and encourages exploration.
I feel like people are acting like the scadutree fragments are the most complained about thing when what I see is people complaining about the horrendous boss design
@@pcn545 the issue is people complaining about overtuned bosses (radhan is the only valid one) one shotting them when they refuse to engage in actual game mechanics. At scadutree max level all bosses but radhan are a lot of fun imo
@@dagrela I’m not denying that, but to act like that’s the only reason for people being upset it just looking at it through tinted glasses. The bosses ARE poorly designed. Half of them make you fight the camera and the other half have other artificial difficulties like janky hitboxes. Hard or not, only a few of the bosses are well designed
I can absolutely see them making this work, I think the people bashing any mention of Godwyn being in the DLC forget that the only people who really know whether a story beat is “possible” or “lore accurate,” is FromSoft themselves. They get to decide what is real or possible in their world, and they can quite literally explain anything however they want within the context of the world and story they’ve set up. They could just be like “the Eclipse worked and Miquella needed Radahn’s soul and Mohg’s body to finish the ritual.” Using Mohg’s body would even avoid the whole “Deathblight plot hole” thing.
btw, blind spot aow seems to be one of the easiest ways to dodge radahn's cross-swipe attack you've mentioned. you should try it out. another move which radahn does from neutral starting with his left arm is mohg's cut, which is perfectly countered by blind spot as well. so if you see the boss moving his left arm from neutral - you press blind spot.
1. Rellana 2. Bayle 3. Midra 4. Messmer 5. Radahn 6. Romina 7. Putrescent knight 8. Dancing lion 9. Gaius 10. Metyr 11. Golden hippo 12. Scadutree avatar I find Messmer to be extremely overrated, his fight was not that incredible in my opinion, flashy but nothing too fun. While i like metyr because i found her by myself very soon after the dlc came out and nobody knew about her and i felt special, the fight itself is dogshit. Bayle was so much fun to fight with a lighting build and with the help of Igon. Midras mansion felt like a short but sweet and Well crafted dark souls level with the fight being very mechanicaly uncanny, in a good way. Dancing lion was just bad, like y’all a tripping, nothing horrible just bad camera tracking and janky hitboxes, insane boss design tho, it really has a certain feel to it. Gaius is kinda cool but he has an undodgeable move so thats not too fun. Also he is just that dude on a horse from sekiro. We dont talk about scadutree avatar, its the equivalent of buying a japanese rice cake only to find out there are red beans in there. Radahn prime is reaaallly fucking good, until his second phase gives him 5 random attacks with one shot potential. Golden hippo is… a boss of all Time for sure. Putrescent knight is pretty cool, i guess, nothing to noteworthy, just not a very enjoyable moveset and he runs away a lot. Romina is just out here being a 7/10 boss, no major flaws, pretty cinematic, its pretty cool. Rellana is the only True mechanical 10/10 of the dlc in my opinion, just a perfect fight, like gael. While she looks like pontiff, she has the soul of fume knight : no cinematic, almost no build up, just a one on one fight, and the battle itself is incredible, same feeling a fighting gael. In conclusion, the dlc has really good bosses, and even the ones i said were bad are better than 90% of ds1 and ds2 bosses. Incredible dlc
What really bugs me is everyone says “godwyn this godwyn that” dude technically speaking that’s not radahn that’s mohgs body with radahns sould or something but bro it’s kinda like Naruto, who would you revive? Itachi or the god of shinobi madara, miquella knew out of everyone radahn was the strongest, the man literally had the weight of the stars and still fought malenia and got a draw!
Exactly and godywn’s story was concluded by the fact that he’s tied to one of the endings through fia’s quest. It wouldn’t make any sense to have godwyn in the DLC especially when it’s clearly that radhan and mogh needs to be defeated to access it so it implies that they would be involved with the land of shadow.
@@brandinicole1372 yesss bro, and malenia was sent to caelid to beat radahn so he could be sent to the shadow realm and therefore be with miquella, people tend to forget that these 2 were once against each other but now fighting as one is dope as hell, reminds me so much of the twin princesses and even more is the fact that radahn has that slash attack with fire that mohg does further making it accurate, i think this dlc is by far the best lore wise we’ve gotten since the Old Hunters dlc from Bloodborne, that was truly to me a masterful dlc in every way
If you send Malenia to challenge Radahn in hopes of defeating him and making him your consort, guess what? That means Radahn is already weaker than Malenia, you just declared war on someone weaker than your blade, you could just make Malenia your consort. If Malenia fails to beat Radahn and later Tarnished defeats him in a battle guess what? It wasn't Haligtree that beat Radahn so his promise is not valid. No matter how hard you try to convince yourself even the simple background of the final boss has many plot holes.
@@CatbutnoWares i never said it was lore accurate all i said was radahn is better then Gwyn. “You send malenia to fight that means she already won” you do realize if malenia was sent it was cause he was already holding the stars, of course you’d send someone to finish off a god that has been severely nerfed. Again like i been saying, radahn won not being able to walk and holding stars so whats your point? Malenia is no where near as strong as prime radahan, she’s definitely strong but you gotta be smokin that good good to think they sent malenia knowing she’d win lol
I do not like the final boss second phase, first phase was awesome but second phase less so because of all the flashbangs. But lore wise, there's very little problem with Radahn being the final boss of the DLC with Miquella. It answers questions like what Malenia said to Radahn at the end of their duel in Caelid before the nuke. Godwyn is just not going to work. I'm going to say it plain and simple. He's dead, like dead dead being killed by a danger imbuned with DESTINED DEATH. And even if he does return, I don't think anybody is going to like a boss that can inflict deathblight. Having Godwyn as the final boss would be pointless as we already know his fate, hell there's a whole quest in the base game already dedicated to him with Fia
My own ranking (only the Remembrance bosses, also all of them belong at least in A Tier): 11. Putrescent Knight 10. Scadutree Avatar 9. Divine Beast Dancing Lion 8. Metyr, Mother of Fingers 7. Commander Gaius 6. Romina, Saint of the Bud 5. Rellana, Twin Moon Knight 4. Promised Consort Radahn/Radahn, Consort of Miquella Top 3 is what I call the 3 best fights in the entire series: 3. Messmer the Impaler/Base Serpent Messmer 2. Bayle the Dread 1. Midra, Lord of Frenzied Flame
Scadutree Avatar is seriously underrated. His 3 phases is justified due to his lack of health. You basically melt him if you hit his head especially with fire damage and I think that's what people missed, his weakspot. Most of his combos or attacks literally gives you a free opening to decimate his healthbar because he will always position his head next to you or close
nah he said limgrave because that includes the weeping peninsula. its about that size its just instead of spreading out the big lore revelations across the lands between we get more of it in a smaller space. its about the size of limgrave including weeping peninsula which is a part of limgrave.
While i would have loved to actually see Godwyn finally, lore wise, his soul was destroyed with destined death, so it was impossible. Miquella already tried to bring him back with the solar eclipse, but that didnt work
I get why people wanted Godwyn as a boss, but I really think him being revived would lessen all of our encounters with his corpses, not to mention they would have to give us a fight with him that somehow doesnt affect the state of the world with deathblight because that's meant to be unfixable, its literally a cancer in the lands between People say Radahn is fan-service and yeah I can see that. But the only people who ever hyped up Godwyn as a boss were the fans who wanted to fight their favorite character in the lore What I mean is: fuck godwyn I wanted to fight the stromveil king of the storms giant hawk
I think I would have preferred another character over Radahn to be the final boss but honestly, fight wise, he might be my favorite in From games. Also for that delayed attack part, they are supposed to be damage opportunities. Even in many of messmer's attacks you can sneak in 1 or 2 hits.
“But you will disagree” I’m glad you acknowledge that and you’re totally entitled to have your own opinion and I totally respect that. Here’s my opinion: holy sh*t never rate again.
I genuinelly gotta ask, why people expected Godwyn? I mean I am not into theorizing and stuff, but from what I comprehend of the lore, it never made sense for Godwyn to be there as a promised consort or similar. And even tho I did not enjoy radahn's fight, in terms of lore I feel like it was pretty good, closed many missing pieces on the story, something that godwyn being the final boss would probably not do, or even create more problems lorewise.
Pretty good list overall but I'd bump putrecient knight up and the divine beast dancing lion down (a lot). Also can't say I had any issues with Gaius. My only gripe is that the first charge at the beginning of the fight feels pretty much impossible to dodge (haven't tried with Torrent) but the subsequent charges were perfectly dodgeable for the rest of the fight and the whole experience was really fun. Way better than what I expected from how goofy the boss looks.
Godwyn, and I can not stress this enough, CAN NOT be the consort to Miquella. His soul is dead and gone. He is NOT able to be revived in the Land of Shadow because THERE IS NO SOUL TO REVIVE. People keep complaining and trying to shit on the lack of Godwyn in the DLC but………. He is in the DLC just like he is in the base game…. He’s a mutated disgusting creature whose flesh sulks under the Lands Between. His whole character has only one purpose, to be the sacrificial lamb to Ranni’s goal. He can not, could not, and should not be used in the DLC the same way Radahn was. The fact people are so obsessed over it shows a lot of people still don’t understand what happened on the night of the black knives. DLC Radahn is not a random piece of lore, it’s not a retcon, and it’s not bad writing. It may not be what people wanted, some wanting Malenia to be his consort, some wanting us to have the option to be his consort, some saying they wanted to just fight Miquella. Either way it’s not bad and it’s not perfect either but it’s still right lore wise.
He was the only one left tho Milenia had rot Morgott was a Golden Order fanboy Rykard is a Satanist Ranni is a whore and a doll And we kill Mohg Radahn was the strongest and his best option We wouldn’t fit because we are or are in line to be Elden Lord Godwyn could’ve come back but 🤷🏾♂️ They should’ve wrote the story different to make Radahn more relevant as a consort I guess
Fighting Godwyn outside of some memory or time travel shenanigans wouldn't have made sense as his soul was obliterated and he's integral to one of the main questlines and Elden Lord endings
They could’ve always introduced new lore to support it. There’s really no reason for them to be limited by established lore when they’re the ones writing it. An asspull godwyn would’ve made people a hell of a lot happier. Radahn seems uninspired and they had to write new lore to make that make sense anyway so why not do the same for Godwyn?
@@Sam-lo8yjthey already established the eclipse as a way to bring Godwyn back, but that is nowhere to be seen. It's like Miquella fogot about Godwyn lol
I can’t get behind the love that the Dancing Lion gets, the fight just makes me dizzy, the camera is even worse than Hippo and the lack of openings to attack just feels nonexistent in the lightening phase
The real difficulty in this DLC comes from the fucking lag and frame drops. Dancing Lion would be manageable if my PS4 pro didn't have an aneurysm everytime he moved. I know what you guys may say 'Who's still playing on a PS4?" Good question, but my response would be 'If the PS4 can't handle it, why the fuck did they release it for it?' I'd have respected them more if they'd said 'yeah, it's been two years and only the new gen and PCs can handle it. We're sorry' As it is, I've paid 35 quid for something I can barely play. Very let down.
I'm playing on base PS4 and the only boss that ever caused my frames to drop was Fire Giant, and that was only one time. Haven't fought Radahn yet but every other boss in the DLC I've had no issues whatsoever.
For those saying Godwyns soul is dead and he shouldn’t be in the game. WE KNOW. But that was supposed to be the point of the eclipse. The all Myazaki had to say is that once Radahn died the eclipse took place and Godwyns soul returned. And even if that wouldn’t work, putting Radahn as the final boss kind ruined the lore of the game for me.
Try explaining that to the disappointed fans. No matter what explanation they come up with godwyn coming back in any way other than a dream or time travel it would create a massive plot hole in the main story.
This is a great tier list an' imma let you finish, but Rellana is the best boss fight in THE WHOLE GAME! THE WHOLE GAME! She's got lore, but she deserves a cutscene....and mebbe a special death for nohit like Alonne...
Nah godwyn makes no sense here. Radahn makes total sense when you take into account his interactions with miquella whereas godwyn might as well not exist in miquella's point of view.
Besides the midra ranking (no way he is lower then scadutree avatar or dancing lion cmon) but ya, good list, can’t wait for years to past and people will argue to the end of time as to wether radahn was a good final boss, I see people loving him and most saying he’s a one way ticket to causing epilepsy
I actually really enjoyed commander giuas lol. Sure my first 10 or so attempts were me getting destroyed by his charge and insanely long combo's but once the dodge timings clicked, it really wasn't that bad. I would go as far as saying he's top 5 for me in terms of enjoyment, but I am probably biased as rider style bosses just seem to feel very intuitive to me.
It’s probably been commented already but Radahn makes more sense than you think, we finally know what Malenia whispered before nuking Caelid “Miquella awaits thy consort” or something like that, so it’s literally been a plot point since the beginning. Obviously since it was silent they could just say she said literally anything. But I don’t think From would do that. Also once you get better at Radahn it becomes one of the most fun yet still challenging fights
Yeah, the people complaining that is a plothole are completely blinded. Godwyn would have been the huge plothole. Already dead in soul, story concluded with the duskborn ending. I have been having a blast helping people fight Radahn. I recently finished my second playthrough of the DLC and I never died to any of the bosses except Radahn with 1 death. It is such a blast fighting the man.
Im torn whether he’s my favourite boss between him and bayle. I’d say if they patched that frame trap slash, radahn would be my favourite without question

Radahn, Consort of Miquella is like the most Unnecessary, Disappointing, Yet Difficult AF DLC Boss of All Time!
How
I agree
The second fase is an absolute nonsense
Wasn't death blight caused by the shattering and removing the rune of death from the elden ring?
@@fredv7349nope
But my thing is, Radahn? We killed him, we killed his soul and body, but Godwyn is only dead in soul, so? Miquella could've made his soul return

I agree with Messmer. It is easily the best fight in SoTE.

That thing gives me nightmares. Maybe I shouldn't have tried at scadublessing lvl 4 but 67 attempts of hitting its back legs was torture.
They even put the fucker on a puddle as if It wasn t enough
that explains why Gaius was randomly one shotting me
Fun fact: Putrescent knight's internal ID in the files calls it "Gloam-eyed knight"
Golden God Hippo is of course the most powerful boss in lore.
Oh, were you looking for my proof? Well here it is.
Trust me, BRO.
Fr nerf golden hippo
Only disappointed that Midra is that low, for the rest I can mostly agree
Gaius is actually a good fight with a fun move set besides the charge
You can really tell Relanna was tacked on, I went back and checked in Raya Lucaria and couldn't find a portrait of her anywhere even though she was supposedly a carian princess and as much of a prodigy as Renalla. Even Sellen has a portrait in there even though she's a rogue witch...
Appreciate you giving Dancing Lion so much love! I never thought one could make such a cool boss inspired by chinese Dragon Dance, yet here we are.
might be because she never was at the academy to begin with
I genuinely hate the last boss.
Are you on PC? Because it's fine on console from what I have seen.
Exactly!
How am I supposed to react to his combos while the game keeps running around the 20's, plus the flashbang shit just makes it even worse
Like even if I was able to do the first phase hitless
I couldn't apply the knowledge I had about his combos to his phase 2 simply because
I COULDN'T SEE SHIT
After spending 3 days stuck on him I just realized I wouldn't go anywhere with my build so I ended up having to respec my character. Just to beat a boss
@@Pandemia616 yeah it’s likely a pc problem elden ring has never had a good track record for that. Besides the broken charge move Gius is actually well designed and very fun imo. His head banging move where he goes nuts is actually quite easy to dodge when u figure it out. They just have to patch the damn charge hitbox...
Bale's personality is described as just like igons so thats how bale is.
I guess the issue with rellanna is her lack of impact, she just appears so i feel like she is comparable to dragonslayer armour or champion gundyr
A fight which is extremely fun in some way with great music and an excellent arena but nothing more
So far rellana has been my favorite boss.

Midra is a actually one of my absolute favorite bosses!
So Radahn doesn’t make sense because he isn’t hinted at yet you just made up a bunch of stuff to explain godwyn
@@rachelyoung8401 I didn’t make a bunch of stuff to explain Godwyn, I made a counter argument to the comments saying it can’t be Godwyn because he has no soul. you don't need a shield, you could of just two handed and used the deflecting hard tear
@@zaynthemane radahn was dead too they could have made godwyn come back if they wanted too and lore wise it doesn t make sense and its lame
@@patrascu1485 In ER there’s a difference between simply dying and being TRULY dead.

Kinda hilarious that Godwyn could have worked still, and had Radhan and Mohg be sacrificed to bring him back. Radhan soul, Mohg body
That makes zero sense
Literally what does this mean
You know sometimes i hate the elden ring fanbase. Saying such lorebreaking shit with full confidence is genuinely embarrassing
Just make something up! Who cares about established lore!

I find Messmer to be extremely overrated, his fight was not that incredible in my opinion, flashy but nothing too fun. Incredible dlc
if i could divide bosses up by phase i would final boss phase 1 up top but phase 2 at the bottom
I would prefer to fight the Prince of Death in his current state (the corpse entangled in the roots of the Erdtree.)
Late but fun fact: the background sound in second phase Metyr is the first recorded sound of a black hole
This has to be the most popular opiniion. I was expecting to see promised consort at no. 1.
@@darnergarcia7861 exactly, people dont understand how good this lore and world building is.

Scadutree Avatar is seriously underrated. His 3 phases is justified due to his lack of health. I loved putrsent knight he gave off orphan of kos vibes
While i would have loved to actually see Godwyn finally, lore wise, his soul was destroyed with destined death, so it was impossible. Miquella already tried to bring him back with the solar eclipse, but that didnt work
I get why people wanted Godwyn as a boss, but I really think him being revived would lessen all of our encounters with his corpses, not to mention they would have to give us a fight with him that somehow doesnt affect the state of the world with deathblight because that's meant to be unfixable, its literally a cancer in the lands between
People say Radahn is fan-service and yeah I can see that. But the only people who ever hyped up Godwyn as a boss were the fans who wanted to fight their favorite character in the lore

You don't need to "wait your turn" fighting Rellana, just jump attack over or position next to her
Pretty good list overall but I'd bump putrecient knight up and the divine beast dancing lion down (a lot).
You said it better than me 😊

Radahn was the strongest and his best option
We wouldn’t fit because we are or are in line to be Elden Lord
Godwyn could’ve come back but 🤷🏾♂️
They should’ve wrote the story different to make Radahn more relevant as a consort I guess

Also Messmer is overrated, he’s good but people are saying he’s on the same level as Gael or Artorius or Ludwig, and I just don’t think he is.
The real difficulty in this DLC comes from the fucking lag and frame drops. Dancing Lion would be manageable if my PS4 pro didn't have an aneurysm everytime he moved. I know what you guys may say 'Who's still playing on a PS4?"
Good question, but my response would be 'If the PS4 can't handle it, why the fuck did they release it for it?' I'd have respected them more if they'd said 'yeah, it's been two years and only the new gen and PCs can handle it. We're sorry'
As it is, I've paid 35 quid for something I can barely play. Very let down.
Naa on my ps4 the dlc works super well
I'm playing on base PS4 and the only boss that ever caused my frames to drop was Fire Giant, and that was only one time. Haven't fought Radahn yet but every other boss in the DLC I've had no issues whatsoever.
How the fuck? I even bought a brand new PS4 pro out of the box for it and it's dying.
Oh god thank god I thought you were about to rank gaius in top 2

You didn't like the knight? He wasn't crazy unique but I really liked fighting him
I think I know why Godwyn wouldn't be possible. It's because his soul is dead. Miquella can't bring back a dead-ass soul.
Try explaining that to the disappointed fans. No matter what explanation they come up with godwyn coming back in any way other than a dream or time travel it would create a massive plot hole in the main story.
Glad I watched your opinion of the game before this
Putrescent knight is in my top 3 of this dlc
This is a great tier list an' imma let you finish, but Rellana is the best boss fight in THE WHOLE GAME! THE WHOLE GAME!
She's got lore, but she deserves a cutscene....and mebbe a special death for nohit like Alonne...
Nah godwyn makes no sense here. Radahn makes total sense when you take into account his interactions with miquella whereas godwyn might as well not exist in miquella's point of view.
1: Messmer
2: Midra
3: Bayle
4: Rellana
5: Romira
6: Radahn
7: Putrescent Knight
8: Scadutree Avatar
9: Lion
10: Gaius
11: Metyr
12: Hippo
13: InquisitorJori
Gaius is completely fine and it really annoys me how much people just parrot "bad hitboxes" without evidence
You can roll that radon attack
I just wish Rallana had a cut scene and voice lines
I like the final boss and really like the plot, unlike ye. Only thing I don't like are the constant flashbangs...
i'm the goat
@@g-stroyer3399 yeah that attack is weird, I’ve had situations where I’ve dodged all 3 hits but I don’t remember how. I feel like there’s definitely a way but I haven’t looked anything up. Other than that I love the fight, probably my favorite rn
@@kanatafire4124 yeah anything is a plot hole if you don’t look hard enough. But that’s also what Miyazaki games are all about, idk I feel like they lost faith in our boy like he would just put something in the game for the sake of it without it making sense
