Between 1965 and 1972 I attended every motor race meeting at the 'Farm......how I missed those days after it closed. Wonderful memories, enhanced by the clips on UA-cam....thanks to all of you who have uploaded these clips.
Thanks very much for posting this (& your other) old videos from The Farm. I used to live in Albert St. Cabramatta. (Gough Whitlam's old street). Went to a number of races with Dad & my uncle & older cousins. Used to walk to the track, great memories of some great races & great drivers & cars you could relate to. The old man cheered for the Fords, as he had an XY Fairmont, the uncle went for Holden, as he had a HK 6Cyl poverty pack Monaro, & his eldest son had a Charger 215ci with 3 on tree...
..where it ended on the banks of Cabramatta creek. I used to ride my pushbike around this circuit,as a young boy.Back in those days, there was only one security guard on site,an old Italian man,who mostly slept while on duty. After the circuit closed down, they used the section from the Dunlop bridge, around Creek Corner,up to the Shell bridge for advanced driver training for quite a few years.
@JBofBrisbane ...I grew up in the one of the closest houses to the circuit.[36 Liverpool st.,Lansvale].On race day the crowd was nothing short of amazing,in comparison to today.Especially for the international events.Cars would be parked all the way back to Ron Hodgeson car dealership in Cabramatta. We could barely get in/out of our street, lining the streets.I would sneak in to all the events by swinging around the wire fence
yeah , its the same car , during mid 74 , he actually put an XB front on it , but changed it back to an XA front for bathurst , he thought the XA front was more aerodynamic
...so between us we had the 'Big 3' covered for bragging rights, for whoever won on the day! Just a question on Gossy's XA, I'm pretty sure this is the yellow one he also raced in Bathurst '73, where Bartlett came to grief hitting another car. Is this also the SAME ACTUAL car he won the '74 Bathurst race in, except, the livery was changed to blue?
Wow I remember eh panelvans , xu1 Toranas , all stolen, down to Austin Kimberley’s, stolen and submerged in Cabra Creek. And that Progress association shutting all of this good alive Tarzan rope, mud flats of Nairobi down!!!!!!they shut down what they created, as they still do!!!!

I was nine years old in 1973, but I don't ever remember seeing a race from Warwick Farm, or Dick racing in a Torana. Thanks for posting.
