Brunson was ball dominant the entire game just like he was the entire season after Randle went down. The big difference is that his teammates hit shots. Brunson had a 13 and 10 assists games last series and they called him ball dominant. He gets 6 assists this game and he wasn't ball dominant?🤨 the difference is that his teammates just took and hit the shots. Brunson takes between 26 and 32 shots a game and it's been that way. But I enjoy your pod. I like your takes even though I don't always agree with them. As a knick fan who watches every dribble of every game, none of this is new. It's just new to everyone else. Brunson is iso heavy and won't pass the ball unless you move yourself and get open

Secondly, different situations. Hats off to the Pacers, and no excuses for which TEAM won. However :
Pacers missing : Starting SF(Nesmith), PF(Siakam), center(Turner) & best bench scorer(Mathurin).
Knicks missing : Best bench scorer(Bogdanovic).
THAT’S the equivalent of what Jalen just went through….Pacers MISSING Nesmith, Siakam & Turner WHILE Anunoby, Randle & Mitch play. It wouldn’t even be a series, respectfully.
Hali, Nembhard, Sheppard, Toppin & Jackson would be the Pacers starting lineup. TJ 6th man, and whoever is left.

Nobody realizes the combination of athleticism and IQ the knicks have at their disposal along with elite defense. Brunson has many dimensions to his game - doesnt need to be taking a lot of shots to be effective.

However bro stop putting all us Knicks enthusiast in a box. Of course everyone wants their team to win a chip. But all the Knicks need to focus on is getting to the ECF right now and that alone means the Knicks had a very successful season. The Knicks have been slowly and quietly building their championship team. They haven’t been trying to one and done every season. It’s about taking steps every season.
That means they went further than they did last season and did it without their second best player in the playoffs. That would make next season the Knicks window.
Right now Knicks just focus on getting to the ECF. Saying the Knicks won’t win a chip while they don’t have their second best player really isn’t much of a prediction. At best you’re right and that’s low hanging fruit. At worst you’re wrong and that means the league has a real problem on their hands when Randle is healthy again.

I’d say that most of the ball domination from Brunson is a result of how teams are playing him and the Knicks. Embiid sat in the paint, limiting opportunities at the rim - Knicks don’t have enough shot creation to play a team that takes the paint away

You are ignorant, you are wrong in your analysis. Do you understand that match ups dictate the offensive game plan. Then there are adjustments, because the defense is disturbing the offense. Then you must factor, strengths and weaknesses of every player. Factor in its a playoff series, game is different in many ways than the regular season. You need to learn the game. Brunson is a hard nose, well rounded scoring point guard and game manager, a coaches son, high iq player. Dont just watch espn and repeate their simple takes
Currys games is different than brunson. They have different teams, different strengths. Curry primarily is a shooter, then slasher and passer. Brunson scores in the paint back to the rim primarily. Gsw are fun to watch, but so are the knicks

We did not have our style of defensive game and still won. And now because of Embiid falling on Robinson ankle and grabbing both in game 3, he’s gone again. So that’s another dynamic. We have enough but it’s a bit harder now. It’s okay to be objective about what someone says.
