This video fails to show or describe safety practices that are prudent and widely accepted in machinery design and operation. I designed coil processing equipment and slitters for several decades. Workers should not be exposed to open pits, moving strip or unexpected motion of equipment. Typically, physical barriers, awareness barriers and work practices such as lock-out/tag-out before exposure to hazards should be employed - among other measures. If such measures are employed on the operation shown here, they are not apparent and not mentioned.
