If they were better MP's they wouldn't get the flack.
So an 80 k job plus massive expenses job where you make decisions that effect the public’s life is difficult ? Awww poor babies.
Put them on the minimum wage see how they feel then…….
Once upon a time MP's were not paid anything at all, this meant only those on high incomes could afford to do the job the super rich in Victorian Britain basically, this was later changed. There are some good hard working MP's out there who turn up to debates and do 50 plus hours a week like the late Jo Cox's sister, but there are too many that don't, there should be minimum attendance for parliament and hours to fulfil the job.@@Lucky-wt6fg
If they are not capable of doing the job they applied for there is a simple solution, clear off.
Well done Marina, you tell it like it is. These Tory have to be called out.
Calling out…….doesn’t seem to be working! I’m afraid more drastic action is required by the people
There is a terrible lack of diversity in parliament. There are now almost no working class MP’s, compared to years ago. The only ones I can think of are Ian Lavery, Angela Rayner, and Lee Anderson.
And Anderson is a working-class traitor.
Very true has gone backwards! 2022- Just one in 100 Tory MPs came from a working-class job, new study shows Institute for Public Policy Research study also shows proportion of working-class Labour MPs has halved since 1980s
In terms of that the Conservatives in general were always the party of rich business men, years ago MP's got no salaries at all and MP's were all upper class toffs mainly from the Liberal and Conservative parties. Labour used to have a significant number of working class MP's now there's been a big increase in those you are trained lawyers from middle class backgrounds and those from rich backgrounds too, and more have gone to Oxford and private school that even the 70's or 80's a lot of this change started under New Labour, the numbers from working class backgrounds of MP's overall is very small those that are often have trade union links. Working class MP's include SNP's Mhairi Black & Labour's Angela Rayner was brought up on a council estate with a single mum, trade unionist John McDonnell former Shadow Chancellor under Corbyn worked at BHS, Richard Burgon and Dennis Skinner certainly is but lost his seat as an MP, Paula Barker MP, Emily Thornberry and arguably Zara Sultan, Olivia Blake, Steve Reed ( Shadow Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs) also not an MP but leader of Labour in Wales Mark Drakeford is arguably from a working class background. But not enough out of 650 MP's.
Reform UK is led by a business man Richard Tice, alongside the likes of Alex Philips a former MEP fairly rich woman, the idea Reform UK stands up for the working class against the rich elites in laughable just like with Trump's similar claims.
@@JamJam0189 It looks to me like the American working class no longer feel represented by any party, and so their vote is up for sale to the highest bidder. They perceive Trump to be the highest bidder at the moment. I agree with you about Reform, and it’s disappointing that ex Labour working class voters are not gravitating towards the SDP, a type of blue Labour Party.
Yes there are parallels between UK and US politics in the 1980's when both Regan and Thatcher followed similar policies of free market less regulation and lower taxes which benefited the rich the last President that really cared for the working class in the USA was probably Jimmy Carter. The Democrats became more right wing under Clinton choosing third way centrist policies like Blair did. Bernie Sanders and Jeremy Corbyn challenged this and had a good deal of support but were snubbed by the media and their parties. I wish we were more like Finland, Norway, Sweden or Iceland with more left leaning policies and lower poverty levels. @@davidpryle3935
Aren't you aware why people are so angry with politicians??? 😮wow
Haha - it's defo because they don't want to be on the opposition benches.
How do you burn out from doing no work
Parliament is not representative. Too many public school boys and we all know who they represent and it's not working people! Power needs to be decentralised and in the hands of local people, who really have the interests of their electors, at heart! Radical change is required, to challenge the status quo!
Totally agree
Hard work, meagre wages and stress is the average life. 80K a year, massive expenses and a second income is a privileged life. And we just had 14 years of irrefutable proof that any idiot can do it.
if its too hot, get out of the kitchen. OUT!
An old name for an old night stick
It's a weapon.
I know the peach one it's like being on adrenaline a day ain't it.
Graham Taylor is a typical religious hypocrite
marina totally right corruption and greed reform in parliament, not the idiots in the reform party are the same for the few.
And let them slit the story and means it ain't me they hurt with the lie
Yes like with dogs it's cheaper to pick up than to flush or do put else with it,we could make money off it. Others in universe do. 2:07
90,000 negative comments?
Take a hint Maggie.
It's more I need to know their soul and the serliva wears off
Yeh miss all it takes is one fling on our kids of today, with stigmata and the go rotten.
And ok that star out their forming is stardust
That marina is a joke. She won’t have a migrant in her home because she has a family but wants no borders. She went on about the climate and she has just flew back from Cyprus. Talks the talk but won’t do the walk.
What's the point if nobody else will? She has a point but it takes a bit of thought to make sense of it, which is not something Jeremy Vine viewers do if they can help it.
The climate emergency requires international cooperation to achieve the infrastructural and social shift required. But, yeh, just you whinge about a journalist - then you can call "them" all hypocrites and you don't need to do anything to change.
Marina is the ultimate champagne socialist 🍸
What's wrong with that?
I think she's wonderful
@@alfsmith4936 what..you dont know ?..
Yes the commen wealth would be good to host, we were last so we're best positioned to host, so we should help or maybe risk looseing it, in style. 1:44
It's our commonwealth.. Australia want us to pay for the games but we are too poor.
It's a big middle finger to the U.K. and a way for other commonwealth countries to see how we don't care about them as much as ourselves.
On the bright side.. We would save a lot of money if we disbanded it all, like they want us to.
Hodge brings everything on herself. Expect to much of them. Most people don’t expect anything from them . Because that’s what we get . Nothing. They should be on minimum wage. And even then they would be paid to much.
And break
Oh my god we have the inferstructer to do it cheap, one the commenwealth will make us money more than we waste. Because it all still in place were as another country would have to spend alot of money to do hense why they don't want to,but us being the last to do it it will work, plus's hosting twice in a row could be good for us medal wise, and the shitting thing,
Were not animals are we well us not being more like an animal is costing us more the 5 billion a year.
What size is the universe compared to god I here, we the universe is about the size of a yoga ball in front of her she can wothtvher hand through us.
I DONT EXPECT ANYTHING FROM THEM, LABOUR ARE WORSE VOTE REFORM
I bet you vote Tory again.
lol Lawrence Fox friends?
Them sorry
Maybe Mhairi Black wants to do something more useful with her life. Good luck to her 😂🎉.
