So, the way sonic's behavior is connected with the purple ring (sadness) is that he became depressed the second he touched the ring. His sadness has up over time(being the fact that he knows he may die and/or his time in the Arabian nights is almost over), and we see this in the last part when sonic's sadness is really shown. Sadness can lead to rage when it gets out of control, and rage can lead to hatred when he is done freaking out. Also, Hatred can sometimes lead to joy when its all said in done, thinking you fixed the problem, when later it just ends up in rage again, and over time you get the desire to end it (Witch in some cases gets so bad it ends in you killing someone/something.) Then when that's done you end up feeling sad and you wish that you never got mad in the first place. This is the connection of all the rings that sonic posses, and later that chain happens to sonic, sad to rage, rage to hatred, hatred to desire,desire to joy. The last 2 parts doesn't really happen to sonic. The last ring sonic received was the blue ring(Prayers/hope) Sonic hopes that he will return safely and this world will be ok. This is bacicly the only connection.
does anyone else feel that sonic and the black knight and sonic and the secret rings are similar with how the stories are set up with sonic going to a different dimension sort of speak to help out a female character defeat a villan and all his friends are there but their names and stories are different and by having little "sheets" of paper tell out the story?And how both of them kinda turned thier back on sonic?
I really like erazor djinn, he really sets the mood for a final battle well which most bosses in series don't do very often and I like how during the battle there are those moments where both him and sonic try to get the first hit in when they dash towards each other, its like being in a cutscene.
One thing that should be noted: beating this boss when under Level 20 will unlock a page in the Secret Book. Said page is basically an achievement, so if you only need to accomplish that feat if you care about such things.

One of my favorite Darkness-themed stages. And I'd like to think that I'm the one who reminded you about the other world rings (in Levitated Ruins and Skeleton Dome) since I did mention that in the previous part. But you got them all so that's all matters...
I fucking love the music played in Erazor's fight. As for the fight, because I was never great with Time Break, I just had to master for timing that one-shot dual phase without it. Tried several times until got the timing down and it was a satisfying feeling. Although even now if I were to go back to this fight with the max length gauge, I probably still wouldn't use Time Break just because of the long wait. Also, during the fight, I noticed that your rings were depleting unless you were at the dual phases. Was it because of the dark energy Erazor was radiating? Or did you equip a power-up I did notice?
