Hi Mama Mel! I love watching your cooking shows. It inspires me to cook new things! Im married to a wonderful husband named Ramon and 3 children whom I love cooking for. I wanted to make this lasagna soup you made on your cooking show for the longest time. I made it tonight snd everyone loved it! I added corn in mine and it was a hit! With garlic bread sticks. I know lasagna doesnt have corn in it but since it was a soup I thought it would be a good addition. It was wonderful. I always like to add veggies when I can. I wish I could send a photo of it but I'm not sure how to do that. -Angie

My favorite soup is chicken tortellini soup. There is something so yummy and comforting about a bowl with sweet Italian sausage, chicken breast, and cheese filled tortellini. I saw this made years ago on my local CBS affiliate at a lunch time cooking segment. Had to make it, and have been a fan ever since.

I make a roasted butternut squash soup with homemade parmesan sage croutons, cheeseburger soup 🍲 (so so yummy) seafood soups (being from New England 🐋) broccoli cheese soup (🧀 🥦) ham, cheddar, 🥔 potato soup ... and more! Mel, of course soups all need fun crackers, rolls, biscuits, breads ... Keep showing us your soups and sides - we love them. (Speaking for all your subscribers lol. 🤸)

Yes! The Olive Garden Gnocchi soups is the best!!
The chicken tortilla soup would be great with soft flour shells. Cut then up in 4 or more pieces and fry them up. This way you have like a Mexican cracker. They fry up so fast and easy. Cheese, sour cream and avocados on top right before you eat it sounds so good. Ladies check your thrift stores for bread machines. I picked up brand new ones a few years back under 20.00 for both of them. My one bread machine finally kicked the bucket. My second one only makes a 1 pound loaf. You can mix the dough in the bread machine, shape it and cook in the oven or mix it and cook it in the bread machine. You get a high square loaf but great for soups. If you have a Dutch oven, you can make Dutch oven bread it is so easy. That is perfect for soup with a nice hearty crusty crust on it. You just mix the bread up. Shape it in a ball and let it rise while it is rising you put your Dutch oven with the lid on and let it heat up as the bread rises. When it is done take your Dutch oven out, put a nice piece of parchment paper in the pot, but the bread in put the lid on and let it bake 45 minutes to an hour I think. This is also a no knead bread. I picked my Dutch oven up at the thrift store for 4.99. It is a Food Network brand so I know whoever bought it paid a pretty penny for it. I paid pennies for it. I was lucky that day. Our highs have been middle 40s this week. Great soup weather. I am making up a dish for dinner on Thursday. It is gonna be a crockpot dinner. I think I will call it Spinach & Artichoke Chicken with Ravioli with a Blush Sauce. (Blush sauce is just pasta sauce and Alfredo mixed together).
Haven't looked to your past videos but would like to see more on Crock-Pot cooking if possible love your show and can't wait to try some of your recipes keep up the good work thank you.
I am absolutely unable to ever follow any recipe, of any kind. But this winter, I’ve been big on dumping a variety of ingredients into the crock pot, to make soups of various kinds. I’d never thought of adding a can of enchilada sauce - that’s really a great idea! Thanks for the tip! Enjoyed this video a lot!

If you like using the frozen bread dough try using the frozen rolls to make Cinnamon Rolls. I make a dozen in a 9x13 greased pan. I melt a stick of butter and take a dozen frozen rolls and drop them in the butter and roll them in 1/2 cup of sugar with 2 Tbsp of cinnamon stirred into the sugar. You drop the butter covered roll in the cinnamon sugar and put them in your pan. Do this before bed. Cover with a towel and let them thaw and rise during the night. In the morning bake at 350 for 12 to 15 minutes. When you remove them I immediately like to ice them with part of a can of cream cheese icing. The icing melts and they are delicious. The leftover icing I just refrigerate and use it later. I am a retired nurse. I was the House Supervisor at a nursing Home. I use to take these rolls to the nursing home as a treat for my staff a couple times a month. I could make and take 36 rolls for less than $10. So easy yet it let them know how much I appreciated their hard work. Great moral booster too. My family love these rolls. We are empty nesters. I make 2 pans. One for Mark and I and one for my daughter and family. They live 2 blocks away. On the weekend they love when I call on Sat or Sun morning and I tell them to come pick up breakfast. My grandson who is 13 months old can eat 2 rolls.

I love these I make the chicken tortilla soup almost every two weeks and freeze in soup cubes and then I take out a cube for lunch or if I’m not feeling well quick dinner love it with a spoon of sour cream and crushed tortilla chips in it Omg 😋

I make my potato soup almost identically. The only thing I do differently, is I buy O'Brien style potato hashbrowns (that has onion & peppers in the frozen bag) it's awesome! 😊

I made that crockpot potato soup not too long ago & oh my goodness so good! I topped it with cheddar cheese & bacon bits too. Also had grilled cheeses on the side. So yummy
